Tua Tagovailoa facing "Bo Jackson type hip injury"

Recommended Posts

Oh no, they just said on Fox prior to the UCLA/Utah game that "according to numerous sources" Tua is facing a "Bo Jackson type hip injury".

Posterior wall fracture is the diagnosis

Edit: For what that is worth

True, but Tua should have none of the difficulties Bo had. Bo’s issue was do to the bleeding that wasn’t initially addressed if I remember correctly.  Add in another 30yrs of medical science and Tua should make a recover and not have a career ended like Bo.

Always sucks to see anyone endure this sort of thing. Hoping for the best for him.

Let’s take a shot on him on day 3.

That’ll be the real question, if he enters the draft now or stays another year due to the injury.

Plus he had bilateral hip socket/joint issues and some dead bone issues too as I recall. This is a different injury. Not that it isn’t serious though.

I don’t think he is playing at all next year so he needs to weigh where he would go in the draft this year versus waiting a year and then being able to workout for teams ahead of the draft. Say he is a 3rd or 4th this year but can come back and prove he is healthy and still a top prospect and go in the 1st then he should wait.

I'd take my chances in the draft. No way I'd play another football game at the college level if I'm him.

Someone will take a shot on him. Make sure you at least cash some checks.

He could wait a year to enter the draft and not play next year at all and just rehab and recover. Probably the best move for him.

If I'm an NFL team I'd rather him handle as much if the rehab process as possible in-house. Well, unless I'm the Panthers with our medical staff. In which case, I'd probably reach out to Independence High School or the like and have them handle it.

    • Honest discourse isn't welcomed by many in the TB because it's supposed to be ONLY us vs them. R vs D. And in the last couple years, it went from R vs D to R vs D vs far left. People want their side to win. That's it. Shoe on the other foot in terms of political parties, the same people swearing Trump is the worst thing in the universe would be saying that the GOP is just mad. Same thing the Repub voters on here are doing in this very thread. It's madness and hypocrisy at its finest.
    • Kyle Allen threw 16 interceptions over a span of 9 games. We lost to multiple 2 win teams with him under center. If we want to tank for the #1 overall pick in 2020 he could fill in for us in that capacity. Otherwise if winning is the goal then the highest priority needs to be acquiring a capable signal caller.
    • That's inaccurate lol ... rushing we were 14 .. but passing we were not top 10 .. we were not a top 10 passing team. We were 20th. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=TEAM_PASSING&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&season=2019&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=false&Submit=Go
