Brian Burns was top 5 in the NFL in sacks per snap, and led all rookies

Pisses me off with our coaching staff.  So stupid.  We could've had another DROY on our hands, but again, it's been a problem for years.

Now we just need a coach that will actually put him on the field

So let me get this straight, the greatest coach in NFL history, who Tepper just fired for no reason whatsoever in the most ignominious manner possible, potentially had a blind spot for playing declining veterans over younger players with more upside.

Who would have thought?

He’s pretty good and can be better but he’s no Nick Bosa. Bosa plays both the run and pass. Teams have to double him. Burns still needs to get bigger and improve the run game.

99% of his sacks occur as basically coverage sacks where the Qb hangs out in the pocket too long.

Unfortunately he is way to lite at this point to take on a tackle one on one. Hope he proves me wrong.

Can you show some evidence of this being the case?

Burns coming off the edge provided pressure. Watching  him play should be excited for us. He will be a beast on this team

Only a few videos on YouTube but check this one out. The LT pushes him away and it’s not until the QB scrambles that he goes after him. His quickness is meant for times like this however if we are talking about stand-in the-pocket QBs, the tackle will throw him all over the place.

It would be nice to get a coach who doesn't play him out of position. I understand when he was drafted Hurney and Ron said he was a "pass rusher" when asked about his position.

He is clearly a 3-4 OLB and our idiot coaches lined him up as a defensive end all season. Then they reduced his snaps because he couldn't set the edge against the run in a 4-3.

God I am so glad Ron is gone.

Burns will be beastly with more snaps.  Hurney nailed another 1st rounder

Question for you all...If you were Hurney and if you (Hurney) stay as GM, you having a close relationship with Rivera...would you give a Rivera a call and attempt to trade up to the #2 overall pick and select Chase Young? Imagine Burns and Young together...

What the Redskins would ask for that trade would probably make the Herschel Walker trade look like a bargain.

I see a zero point zero chance that they trade out of the chance to draft Young.

zero point zero chance is Newton not being a Panther in 2020
