Rhule might equal Rhebuild

His Wikipedia page has a list.

The majority of them aren't names you'd easily recognize.

A few names on that list though. All of them have contracts currently. Oh well!

Big difference in re-building a college team vs an NFL team. College coaches who are good at recruiting can turn around a team in a couple years. Not so easy in the NFL where you have a cap and to some extent have to have a competent GM...

Word is Rhule wasn't that big in the recruiting.

The NFL has free agency and the draft, very different from recruiting.

Rebuild was going to be part of the equation no matter who was hired.  Rhule is just the best guy to do it.

Worth wondering what this means for Hurney, given the kind of program control that Rhule wanted.

Rhule made a lot of improvement with existing players (i.e. coaching).  That can't be understated.

That's what excites me the most.  Even with the draft and FA, the only way this team is going to be better in the short-term (and maybe not then if we completely strip it down) is through a lot of our existing guys playing better than they did this year.

I'd agree.

That said, I have a feeling if we're not championship caliber in two years, people are gonna be screaming.

It might take...a little longer than that.

Can someone help come up with a list of NFL players who were coached by Rhule at either Temple or Baylor and see if there are any free agents or guys worth getting? Makes me wonder how he’s gonna build the team/culture. Also curious how many guys panned out from his programs.

from Wikipedia so unsure of the accuracy

This is just the next step in the process. We still have to rebuild our training department.

What a Rheally dumb thread and poor take. I’d expect this type of crap from Chuck but not from Scot.
