Shocker

Playoff Games Thread

Troy and Buck will not stop slurping Green Bay’s dick even when they’re getting destroyed on the field. Like the 49ers had the second worst record last year and now they’re in the super bowl. Talk about them.

KC was 26 in rushing defense this year.  Does not bode well for them IMO.

49ers are stacked and KS is a great coach, but think Mahomes is just too much.

You are right about Mahomes, but the forty niners do have one advantage in that they are one of the best at getting pressure without blitzing.

Btw, there are some eerily prophetic articles from even as far back as March on this super bowl matchup if you look.

Anywho @Mr. Scot who is the home team this Super Bowl? In a big discussion over red v. red.

Looked it up. Apparently it alternates between AFC and NFC. From what I've seen, this year it's the Chiefs.

This confirms that you don’t need a QB if the rest of the team is elite.

Titans really proved it as well

So, San Fran in white and KC in red. I hope.

Indeed.

Which brings me to say Tony Romo is the commentary king.

Kinda liked the idea of a Super Bowl I rematch but having it called "The State Farm Super Bowl" would have been annoying.

Patrick Mahomes is great, there’s no disputing that. He’s the best quarterback in the league today. He also has a good team that makes great adjustments during the game on offense and defense. They shut down the Titans(of course with some help from the NFL aha key holding calls on the Titans but none on the Chiefs)

with that being said—

after what I just saw, I think they are screwed.

the 49ers are like the Titans on steroids—- they can pass better, and run better, just different. They do have the benefit of a world of high first round picks and talent.

they should totally dominate the chiefs on the lines, and Patrick will have to perform miracles to throw fast. He will and he will get a few more than Aaron Rodgers, but I just don’t see it being enough.

this is a game about muscle,.. and the 49ers just have a lot more of it.

history of the Superbowls favors the dominate run and defense team, and it helps that the 49ers are no slouches throwing the ball too.

the Chiefs are screwed.

    • This has absolutely ripped open major, underlying problems with American society and our system of government.  Whether or not anything changes remains to be seen.  I will say that the conversation does seem starkly different but that has to translate into action.
    • Let's say some guy walks out his front door, gets in his car equipped with air bags, crumple zones, seat belts, and other modern safety features, and drives off.  He gets fuging creamed in an intersection by somebody running a red light.  He survives but is badly shaken up. What he takes from the incident is that all the safety features of his car are a waste of time because he didn't even die or suffer massive injuries.  Not only that, he's no longer wearing his seat belt and is going to pull the fuse for his air bags because he's decided he doesn't believe in the concept of accidents and won't be in another one in his entire life. If you're on of those "the lockdowns were pointless because 'only' 100,000 people died" guys, this story is about you.
    • This is not the place to get me started on the confederate flag.  But there is probably a correlation between those who believe the flag represents the military and the confederate flag is a representation of southern pride.
