Carolina Huddle
Jeremy Igo

Cam is the only QB left unsigned.

He needs the perfect situation. There is, I believe, something to the narrative that you can't just plug him into any offense. So I feel like he needs a camp to have a chance at a redemption scenario. Bad situation for that.

All of what is going on now was pretty much set in motion when he could not return last year and show people he was healthy. That really needed to happen.

We just gave a guy 20 mill a year to be the starter and hes never thrown for over 3200 yards and 14 Tds.... What a dumbass poster this guy is.

But then again this is the Huddle I am not surprised in the least there are people this retarded on this board

What does TB has to do with why Cam isnt signed? You are the dumbass poster. Again Cam not being signed has nothing to do with TB. Cam not being signed for whatevery reason is , THERE IS NO MARKET FOR HIM. PERIOD! The NFL is about money and winning. The two usually go hand in hand. If a team felt like Cam could help them win, with all the variables that come with that such as fit, chemistry, production and durability he would be signed.

You could have stopped at chemistry.

If the coming season starts with Cam still not on an NFL roster the odds are overwhelming he will not play in the NFL in 2020.

I was a huge advocate for the Panthers bringing Cam back and they were willing to do so — shame Cam and Bus* misjudged the situation so gravely.

[*Bus just may have advised Cam to accept what the Panthers were offering and Cam declined to take his advice.]

He’s a starter and won’t let that go for a year. If he wanted to be signed to a backup he would have been signed. i just don’t  see him being the humble guy that walks into New England and begs Belicheck or the Steelers Mike Tomlin to be a humble backup for someone.

maybe he should have but that’s not him

I think Cams alpha personality might be hurting him.  None of these teams want to rock the boat with their current QB room especially when he has been hurt for a few years now.

If they thought he could play like the old Cam they'd rock the boat in a second...

negotiating thru social media is a giant no no.   once you do that other teams think you will do the same there.  he blackballed himself in a franchise qb sense.   he may have run himself out of the league.   we'll see.   i hope he's successful and i hope he matures but he has put a mtn in front of himself.      he has to prove more to a new team than his health and who knows if he even understands that yet

Opinion*

Maybe you should have stuck around school longer to know the difference between a fact and an opinion. You learn that in what 2nd? 3rd grade?

Be sure to wipe the drool off your chin before responding next, big brain.

You are the blithering idiot who can’t get it through your thick skull that there is no market for Cam right now and that it is not some conspiracy against him.  And stop with the virus so he can’t be checked out crap...players are getting physicals and teams are signing players coming off injuries.  If teams thought he could help them win, they would sign him....and that is a fact.

Now go play in he’s y traffic, you moron.

Now go and do what? I'm sorry but your retard is showing and that's a language I unfortunately don't speak

Some teams want game managers as QBs while they look for someone new out of the draft to build an offense around..........other teams are building offenses around new draft picks that show such a potential or making due with what they have as work in progress.

Newton's potential as a big duel threat QB would still be something worth building a team around if he was coming out of the college draft.

But to be an aged big duel threat with concerns of the physical side of Cam's durability and the fact that he has established himself in the league so that if he is healthy would command a significant compensation is actually working against him at this time...not for him.

Its somewhat like what actress model Lauren Bacall once said about women, "All women die two deaths..............the first to their beauty and youth..........and the 2nd they share in the same with men"

Well, an athlete especially an elite one has the same curse...................they first lose stock from age/injuries as the elite ones experience first.................and then like all athletes lose stock from being too much a financial risk to maintain continued investment in them.

I'm afraid Newton might be in that situation right now in his career.......

The Huggers will always have an excuse. May as well just ignore them. Let them pout for the next few years. It's all they know.
