The guy that won has a much better chance to keep the seat repub in nov, he’s a conservative right to lifer

as always, Dems can’t see the forest for the trees...you would have had a much better chance to turn the seat had he won

Democrats want to win elections.

But Democrats also want to keep racist, White supremacist pieces of human garbage out of political office. Steve King's loss in this primary is a victory for his eventual Republican voters (and likely constituents).

steve king is the most open white supremacist in the us government who argues that black cultures around the world have never accomplished or built anything, ever. replacing him with some cuckservative dimwit is a victory.

The seat is most likely going to flip Democrat in November. The democrats were only 10,000 shy last time. Out of 310,000 voters? That’s not a lot.

I'm okay with there being conservative politicians. I understand the reality that half the country is conservative and that's fine. Healthy even, because the country thrives on balance and compromise. I'm not so foolish to think that a Republican is just going to magically be pro-choice and Medicare for All. But Steve King isn't a conservative; he's a member of the Fox/Trump party. And I'm glad to see him ousted.

We as Americans can demand more of our politicians on both sides. And I think it's great that Iowans are demanding more of the Republican candidates, and we're seeing an actual conservative get the nomination, and not a Trumpist. If Dems don't flip the seat, we can take a measure of solace that at least the politician who represents the state isn't a white supremacist.

It’s called choosing your country over party.

The Democrat who lost by 2% to King had no national or state profile, was a socialist dem running in the most conservative of districts
