(rumors) Charlotte Bobcats - Clevland Cavs

Recommended Posts

If MJ/Cho could get the 4, 24, and 34 picks for the #2, it would be a HUGE win for the Cats.

Get it done.

this. I would be ecstatic with that trade

Houston has 14, 16, and 18 now and are rumored to be looking to trade up to a high pick, to package with some of their players to make a play for Dwight Howard. Would you guys entertain the possiblity of moving the 4th pick we would get from Cleveland for 14/16/18, or would you rather stand pat, and get one of the upper echelon guys in the draft, and pick our project with the second first rounder from Cleveland?

Just to summarize, that would turn our #2 overall pick, into 14, 16, 18, 24 and 33(if you believe we will get that from the cavs too).

Ive also read somewhere, I cant remember, that the Wizards could offer us their second rounder to move up from 3 to 2, to make sure they get beal. We wouldnt lose someone we are seriously going after and pick up and extra second rounder.

Houston will work to flip those three picks (14, 16 and 18) into higher picks that could be used for an impact player out of Thursday's draft, or to further sweeten a deal for Howard or another league star, sources said.

heh posted this in wrong thread

Heres an Update, from a Cavs reporter tweet,

john [email protected]

Hearing Cavs /Bobcats talking. #Cavs want #2 pick..would give #4 #24 #34 #NBADraft

Also, if the cavs trade up and take Beal, Washington is prepared to make a trade with the Lakers giving them the 3rd pick. Now if the lakers take MKG whom its rumored they want, that still will leave Barnes and Robinson on the board. Things are deffinately getting interesting.

Wow....14, 16, 18, 24, 31, and 34 picks if we made two moves.

Personally, I would not want that many rookies.

I agree it would be too many, but if we packaged 18, 24 and 34, to get up to around 10, that would leave us with 10, 14, 16, 31. Or we could move some of those picks for some young talent.

Houston wont give up 3 1st's for #2 or #4

They will likely need a pick that high to get Howard.

14, 16, 18, 24? personally, u will see teams trying to trade out of the first round, those are all guarenteed contracts. 4 guarenteed contracts in a weak draft is not ideal.

people keep saying weak draft, while it does lack superstar talent, this draft is loaded with high quality players. more than most years.

and while i would love to add that many rookies to the team, it loses the chance to take a top tier guy so i wouldnt move back past 5.

Not good enough to turn the Bobcats into a top 8 team.

I feel like people are forgetting that we still have free agency and the Bobcats are $14 million dollars under the cap at the moment.

to bring in free agents, charlotte will have to overpay them greatly to get them to come here. Were trying to dump crazy contracts, not create more.

who do you want to sign? gordon and hibbert are nto coming here, we will sign tier 2 guys, draft a solid player and (assuming cavs trade) 2 other high potential players. build through draft, not expecting to be a top 8 team for another 2 years, then after that hopefully we can contend. after next yr gana maggs and carrol come off the books, then lets make our splash in FA with our 3 picks this yr and our 1st next yr. (already traded our 2nd for mullens)

This is not franchise mode on 2k12.

This is requiring the Bobcats to make 3 different trades to move out of the top ten, and that is flat out not going to happen.

The Bobcats will trade with the Cavs for #4, #24, and #33

Cat's end up with pick #4, #24, #31, and #33

We created this space to rebuild. After this year our cap space is quite free.

    • I honestly get communication in this type of forum is not my strong suit.     I can articulate better in a conversational setting. In which I can clarify easier when my communication fails to convey my point.    means testing was the wrong phrase. Asset data known via public record should be a wealth calculation that determines fixing past ills by letting those that have always had/have a safety net hold at third base while those on first get the boost.
    • Just to try to further clarify my position that starting today our system should be uprooted and flattened.    education, healthcare, job security, living wages, voting rights  etc all are givens. There are no barriers to anyone   Corporations are Co-operations  workers own there piece and share in its success   the problem of the past needs addressing.  We address it from the top the down. The current starts at baseline the historical disenfranchised who were most hurt are given the boost. We look at assets carried mostly by generations and adjust those boosts powering the bottom up.
    • I’d be more than willing to make a gentleman’s bet that Rhule will last longer than Rivera at their current positions.... can’t fix the ‘Skins, Washington is gonna Washington....
