I disagree with nothing in that statement.
Except that now is not the time to free America from the two party system. I’m not saying in the next 4-6 years. I’ve personally believed in trying to obtain a much more rounded system for a long long time. Sadly, even from those that want it I haven’t seen any actual effort to change. In this moment in America,
4 more years of trump Especially without the weight of another “actual” election hanging over his head and you are basically you are looking at full on attempt at totalitarianism. With Biden you are not, I know people on here want to dream that. But it’s simply not the case.
As I have said since the beginning of this discussion though the biggest most important thing in this election is not the executive branch on its own but regaining the senate and retaining the house on moderate to left bias. Because with that the left will have leverage to actually pass bills through both chambers and begin the process of transforming our system legally. Not just in theory or dreams.
Giving the republicans and trump four more years is going to fully destroy the democracy of this country and not in the way people dream that it will.
4 years of Biden at most while working to transform both parties and broaden the spectrum into a or multiple new parties, retaining much needed Supreme Court seat(s), revoking and correcting everything trump did in the past 3 years is critical to that cause.
Imagine a 7-2 or 6-3 conservative SC with 4+ judges appointed by trump. Just imagine that. Imagine trying to get anything done with a progressive agenda.
