  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah won’t we have practice squad linebackers too? This might be the week that up down up down patter is disrupted.
  3. That would only be like midnight for them. Have to maybe do 6 am and good luck getting back too sleep.
  4. It is a home game and the team seems to play better when the pressure is off so who knows which version of the Panthers we will get. But with key defensive players like Jaycee Horn out it's likely we will be down on the scoreboard early which does not bode well for our already underwhelming passing offense.
  5. Yeah. I don’t know if he will ever tell the inside story, but it won’t be told while Bryce is playing. And probably never. Sure would love to hear it though.
  6. Quite a few people here were interested in Steichen. The Panthers held an interview with him over Zoom because he was still coaching in the playoffs at the time. The excuse from our org was that he didn't interview well. We even had Vrabel scheduled for an interview too. But Tepper was his usual impatient and impulsive self and rushed into hiring Reich and then became hyper focused on drafting "his guy" Bryce Young. Honestly it probably didn't matter who we hired it was always going to end badly because of the Tepper's.
  7. Should we pull the fire alarm at 3 am like the seacocks fans did to the Panthers in 2015?
  8. Pavia has something somewhat near NFL average arm strength but Haynes King has a very, very, VERY subpar arm for an NFL guy. He would be best served finding another position to play in the NFL.
  9. Eh Fields still makes bigger plays with his legs etc... I don't really care why the guy sucks, what he can't put together, etc. fields is a huge disappointment, yeah, but I don't want him on this team so that part doesn't really bother me.
  10. Say what you want about Reich, I like the guy, he’s much too professional to drop to Teppers level and start talking poo or spill the beans on his relationship with the FO or the Teppers.
  11. Yep, Pavia is basically the SEC's Haynes King. Damn good college QBs but not sure either will ever make an NFL roster.
  12. Tenn. vs. Vandy is a fun game so far. I do think these are two great COLLEGE QB's that aren't going to translate to the NFL.
  13. Yeah, I think T-Mac is gonna be fine. I think KB would've been for awhile too had it not been for that double whammy if tearing his ACL and losing his mom at basically the same time. That's a lit to deal with, especially when you're already not exactly the most diligent worker in the locker room.
  14. The list of 1st and 2nd round bust WR's is far, far longer than our elite WR's. I hope we finally break that streak with TMac. The bones are there....but they were with Benjamin too. Fingers crossed.
  15. Dalton isn't worth watching. Even the Panthers decision makers know it. That's why two years in a row they've trotted out the same lame excuse revolving around his thumb. Anything to keep him off the field. Dan Morgan signing him to that contract extension is downright criminal.
  16. It's crazy that Brandon LaFell is still our 6th leading all-time WR. Once you get past #3 on that list (DJ Moore) it really is just a pathetically sad thing to look at.
  17. I respect the guy for staying put in this portal era but an NFL future isn't guaranteed for anyone and everyone on the field is a major injury away from having their football future ended. Hell, Marcus Lattimore at SCar is a perfect example of that. He looked like he might be the next Adrian Peteraon before he got his knee absolutely shredded. The moral of the story is that if someone is waving millions at you, cash that check.
  18. If he was a really finished product, I would understand not wanting to go elsewhere. I respect the hell out of the loyalty but if you want to be as prepared as possible for the NFL and especially have designs on the 2027 NFL Draft, I would find a better development spot in free agency this offseason.
  19. And even Ginn arguably had his best season with Cam. Even his per game averages are the highest in Carolina for his entire career. We rarely had WR's play better without Cam. LaFell was the only one I can think of but a lot of that was him have a bigger offensive role in NE and Cincy.
  20. Heck, Sellars was turning down reportedly 8 million dollar checks last season. He better go take a good one this year at a better school
  21. Today
  22. We are a team picking very high for years and still don't have much top teir tallent while playing other bad teams given how they make the schedule. It's very mediocre but like I said it's NFL mediocre. Parady does the hardest lifting if it's not a dumpsterfire. His playcalling is mediocre. His adjustments usually are nonexistent. Even his culture is soft. He is NFL functional he is just mediocre. I have seen zip to warrant a 1 spot out of 32 as an NFL HC. He was also literally outcoached by a first year HC in his first HC game. Sorry but I just don't see a lot of positives past mediocre overall and that's honestly being kind IMO.
  23. All those receivers that Cam was "holding back" accomplished a whole lot of jack poo without him too. KB blamed Cam for his failures and there were people who legit thought Funchess was gonna blossom with a "real QB". The only guy who played decently without him was Ginn with HOFer Brees throwing to him.
  24. I am not sure I agree on the team culture yet. He also did have a lot of young guys chirping to the media about lack of effort in practices before a bad loss. I would say that is on shaky ground. A lot will be determined over the course of the rest of this season since we are likely to start taking a lot more L's. If he can keep the wheels from coming completely off, I might buy into the culture having improved.
  25. Yeah, the greatest of Cam really has been some of the players and coaches he was able to elevate around him. Massively under appreciated component of Cam's legacy.
  26. That SCar thought that Mike Shula was the answer kinda says everything that needs to be said. That he took a Heisman hopeful and presumed top 10 draft pick and made him look like a guy that might not be draftable really shows how damn good Cam Newton was. Both Chud and Shula washed out immediately as soon as they could no longer lean on Cam to carry their offenses.
