  2. How do the Panthers win Sunday? Playing disciplined D. Shough can run. He can also find open guys. So our team is going to have to play really well and disciplined. We're also going to have to hit him and move him around. We're going to have to run the ball. That goes without saying. It's our identity. If the zone looks aren't working, then we need to go down hill battering ram to finish this game. We can't turn the ball over. As we've seen, when we give up the ball early and often, we loose. Finally - which Bryce do we get? Do we get the guy who is ready to kick butt? Or the guy scared of his shadow. What's the vibe going to be? Does he give up the football? Or does he make some great throws with it? As Canales has stated, you don't get much better than "Guys, if we keep winning, we win the division and host a playoff game." The guys have to know, and they are going to have to play their best football. So this game is a test. How ready are they? Are they good enough to take care of business? Or will the whole thing fall apart again? I'm not sure how I feel personally. I want my team to do well. You never know with a "dead" team like the Saints who would be more than happy to play spoiler to our ambitions of winning a Division Title. I'd love for us to win, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we blow it and get blown out.
  3. Stats aside anyone watching the games can clearly see we’re not seeing much high level QB play across the league. Mahomes, Allen, Burrow - nobody’s dominating
  4. Unless it’s college football. Then a committee decides if the score was important or if how the game went was more important. Then, in the final weekend, they completely flip how they viewed it for weeks on end. Then expect people not to get upset!
  5. Why are you copying me? I literally said this in August.
  6. No chance. TV holds too much power in all this too.
  7. Hunt hasn't yet been designated to have practice window open. I dont think he plays any more thos season. "He's getting closer," Canales stated. "We're not gonna open up his window this week. But he's getting closer, he's getting stronger and would love to see him back at some point over this next stretch."
  8. Best timed? Yes. I always hope for a late season bye and it was perfect this year. Also, likely the best bye we've had. At least I don't recall another where Panthers fans were able to have that much shockingly good fun watching the bad guys lose, nor one where it moved us atop the division. Despite the lows, this season will always hold some of our all-time favorite Panther memories: There is, of course, the (not just one, but TWO) shocking upset games, Our Black Friday best bye ever Not just sweeping, but completely shutting out the Falcons in one game and setting our passing yards record against them in the second game, Rico's insane two-game stretch, even calling his shot before Dallas. Crazy bi-polar season.
  9. Today
  10. For god sakes. Play good defense. Miller, stop sucking. And goalie. Oh sweet lord.
  11. Did Rico have a bad game vs the 49ers or did Dave Canales? Rico averaged 6+ yards per carry and Canales said he was trying to make Bryce a thing. and I think Rico being critical of Dave made Dave immediately go back to a 50/50 split. Because from the jump, Dave went heavy Hubbard early after that game almost begging Hubbard to give him a reason.
  12. I mean, I am a certified Sheduer hater. But you could argue he is a more natural fit for Canales than Bryce. Sanders wants the big shot.
  13. I think the real shift isn't so much a return of the run.....it's the college pass game and simple offense coming to the NFL. that's nerfing the pass production. Paired w/ an increase of 2 high shell to take away the simplistic deep calls. Not so much the run has made a comeback. I mean, there are 3 teams over 140 rush yards a game this year......which is the same amount a decade ago.
  14. I don't think there is any chance. I think the moment he sent that tweet that was critical of coaching, Canales immediately went back to a 50/50 backfield. Which stinks because Rico was my fantasy gamechanger that was putting me over the top
  15. I mean, as a Renfrow guy I would like to see him. BUT, Renfrow serves no purpose outside of this year. Is he a better WR than Horn today at actually playing? Easily. But Bryce Young's ball placement is bad (the tiny WR seems to really highlight that) and Renfrow's best game is really carving up areas of the field Bryce Young can't see well. The argument that developing Jimmy Horn makes more sense but they aren't developing him. They seemed to quit that the week he got activated lol and he runs the same 3 plays on repeat (which is good for about 2 weeks in the NFL). I think we saw enough to know Renfrow still has it and if paired with a surgical quick game he would have had a nice role somewhere (but that ain't us).
  16. Not back yet, but Canales expects him to be before end of season
  17. I was thinking the same thing over the weekend. Really feels like we were running out of pieces. The timing is perfect for so many different players on the team... the biggest of all probably being Rico Dowdle. He's had nagging minor injuries for a few weeks now that you can see have taken just a bit of his explosiveness. I expect him to go absolutely crazy the last few weeks of the season. I think he's going to be eyeballing the team single season rushing record.
  18. If they do, it will be a massive contract flushed down the toilet. There is no valid reason to bring him back. Him returning gives us our 2nd best OL combination, IMO. I believe Corbett is more of a drop off from Mays moving to center than the drop off from Hunt to Corbett at OG. Not using that to say Hunt isn't very good but Corbett at C is atrocious.
  19. I hope they don’t rush him back or let him come back too soon.
  20. On what planet is Hurts the best QB drafted from 2020-2025?? poo, what galaxy?
  21. Hopium is a hellava drug. Anyone sold on Bryce at this point is just being willfully ignorant. Not saying with 100% certainty that he won't pan out at some point but I don't think we have the luxury of waiting another 4-6 seasons for that to happen, if that were even a possibility.
