I agree with this if the media and random fans that actually never watch him play would stop cherry picking crazy off the wall stats to show he is something he is not and simply be honest he is bottom of the nfl as far as qbs go and the other teams that have similiar qbs are all looking to upgrade. I have never seen an nfl qb get babied so much I do not understand it at all. I do feel he had his best two games of his career the last 3 weeks. The falcons and the rams. With that said all these teams are selling out to stop the run the coaching has been awesome and the defense has really stepped up. Yet no media is praising anyone but young. Hopefully he can start producing like those two games every week but this is year 3 and he has had what 3 games over 200 yards passing.

This season reminds me a lot of 1999. The ups and downs. That was the season where I moved from a casual to a fanatic and Steve Beuerlein is still the fuging man.

Expansion teams up until then had been really bad for a long time. Mostly. I think the @Tampa game for that ‘03 season was legendary. We didn’t really expect to win.

Seems loike defenses get the names usually.

The Burns contract is this exact situation. His age and position required top of the market contract. Yet we all knew he was not playing to that. So we let him go and het got that elsewhere. But now as the GM you need to fill that void... and you better not fug it up. BY will be the same situation on repeat... There is no option for a middle tier QB contract. Walk or sign for big money.. but keep in mind, We all said Darnold sucked. We all said Baker sucked. What are you going to do...

That's definitely a surprising win, and probably in the running for the greatest Panthers game, and one of the best football games in general that I've ever watching. I was watching at home, and probably the last hour I was on my feet.

Following that logic, the Panthers should wind up at 9-7.

I wasnt even a fan at the time, but 96 panthers win over the cowboys in the playoffs comes to mind. We were the better team, but a 2 year old franchise playing the dynasty in the playoff and to win is big. I grew up in south louisiana and remember hearing how it was like 36 years before the saints won a playoff game, we did it in year 2.

I don't think I can sign on with this. After the Saints killed us, I was expecting the rest of the season to look just like that game. It hasn't been anywhere even close. Canales learns from his mistakes. Many coaches don't. I put a lot of value in that character trait.

if he goes on to have the year darnold and jones have had after the vikings got rid of them then his final few games he is gonna go off , hard to believe they let darnald and jones go to keep mccarthy...

Every year we see guys in their final few seasons try to latch on to contending teams for one last shot at a ring. Way more fail than succeed.

It's funny because during the '03 playoffs, there was a pundit who predicted all the divisional round games except ours were going to be highly competitive. Quoting from his opening paragraph, "I think the Rams are gonna throttle the Panthers". As it turned out, the other three games that weekend were all blowouts and ours was the game of the year. Don't remember who it was that wrote that, but I do wonder If he still has a job writing about the NFL

OL coaching is greatly improved over past seasons.

Being a prick might not mean much to us, but we always have to remember that in the real world people have to work together. None of us likes working with a--holes either. (granted, some of us are the a--hole)

Pretty easy decision to pay him despite how everyone will complain about it. He's answered the call and then some this season. Not the greatest LT you'll ever see but we ain't venturing out into the LT wilderness again on purpose.
