Join me in betting against the Panthers this season
strato replied to Super Grateful's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah everything comes to an end. And if you think you have Vegas figured out, like how to beat them, be careful. It is irrational to think about betting this way, totally superstitious. But the up down up down or black/red phenomenon of alternating results is killing it p, maybe for the last 5-6 weeks. And you know that is gonna end too. -
My son told me that the place was shaking from everyone banging on their seats. He said when Brown got that strip sack it was the loudest noise he's ever heard. He said the place went wild. He said he will remember this game the rest of his life.

lol, no. TMac wasn’t the 4th read. Someone else already explained it.

Bryce might be the most frustrating player we've ever had.

Nope. Was Morgan this past off season. 2 year 44 million extension with 40 guaranteed and a 21.35 signing bonus. -
Bro you started a thread pumping up a throw to the flats. How did you think folks would take it?
-
That was my point. He had some other nice plays in this game. That screen pass is a play every decent HS QB can make.

Canales in the post-game interview stated that the strip sack the noise was overwhelming. It's good that our fans are showing up. It's been too many years since we had a home crowd favorite. I remember listening to the Dallas game and you could hear the Cowboy fans almost as loud as our fans. That's unacceptable. Hopefully, this team continues to get better, and our bandwagon fans come back out and support the team.

I don’t understand the perfect passer rating being achieved when you don’t complete 100% of your attempts. Redefining perfect now? It’s more 20 yard deep ball big time throws and GWD. They all sound great. FTR he played really well except don’t forget the 2 likely game altering sacks that took us out of FG range in a 3 or 4 point margin game. I guess passer rating doesn’t apply if you eat the ball. So no dings. But no joke, 80% is completely excellent - but it isn’t perfect.

He will get one more year just as Mingo did. If he is still not catching on he will be trade bait before the trade deadline or he could be released in the final cut, and we just wipe our hands of the hold thing. I say they will take another WR in the next draft. just to give Young another option. Young has his 4th and 5th year even if he wins just 1 of the next 4 games.

Never read a thread on here hyping up a pass to flats before, pardon my French, but il be damned.
-
Yea, Bryce has had his troubles with that throw and being accurate overall. Hes gotten better, but 59.8%, 60.8%, and 63.1% completion percentages. He’s improved, but he definitely has had his trouble with that throw and ball placement.

Where is it I said it was a grand achievement? I was just pointing out how really good that play was. Too many want to argue every single thing BY does. It's luck, it's bad defense and every other possible reason other than he did well.
-
Was a great atmosphere. The crowd really got going during the drives in the second half where the rain picked up and we were spamming the run game.
-
Bryce hasn't been so terrible that we have to act like a routine screen pass was some grand achievement.

I just saw a meme on the internet where Forrest Gump is sitting on the bench and caption reads “momma always said Carolina Panthers are like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get” hahah to true.

Agree with most of what you said. Looked to me like BY was reading the Safety. Once the Safety followed XL, BY switched to TMac. TMac was being blanketed by a CB all the way across the field - the rub was ineffective. I agree Bryce throws to a spot away from the flat defender, but I don't think it was necessarily a predetermined spot or route. It appeared to be chemistry between the QB and WR. TMac is at the 29 after that ball is released, and then he adjusts to catch it at the 20.

Still need a C too, IMO. Draft someone, for fug's sake. It's about time.
-
Disregard, can't read. Still learning.

According to Pro Football Reference advanced stats, Bryce Young is currently 9th in on-target percentage. Take that for what you will I suppose.

What is a WTF moment? Rhetorical…. Two 3rd down sacks to take the team out of FG range just yesterday, were pretty WTF? to me - and that came in a game he is hailed as the future for. Not a total fail game, one of his best. He had great protection on both those 4th down plays, and did not fug them up. Did his job. Neither was some astounding rare can’t believe it type of throw. It was a good throw, he kept his head straight through that moment and didn’t glitch and executed. It was the situation that was the bigger challenge. Don’t fug it up. That was good to see. The last pass to seal the clock and get to kneel down was a much tougher pass. Most of it is just don’t freak out, focus and do what you are trained to do. Let the training take over. People have a hard time getting into that space. He seems like he has that in his grasp. A lot of guys never get that. But the way you have to play with him is not really … an asset. Don’t know how to say it.

If I remember right, the Panthers complained one time under Rivera and never heard a response
