Dave Canales for Coach of the Year - NY Times

I can't see anyone but Vabrel getting it. He turned that team around in a big damn hurry. -
I wish I could pie you 100 times. It really is this simple. PS. Brown and Horn are both living up to, if not exceeding their contracts.
-
I don't remember. It came up during training camp I think. I could have been last year. But they have 2 coaches for the oline. One for tackles and one for guards and center. I would have to look at the staff listing to get you their names but you can do that yourself.
-
Seriously. It's a Twitter poll, not the Heisman trophy. He should just go cast his vote for another NFC team and move on.
-
Nah. Seen quite a few more than that. The throws I'm talking about are the throws, usually long ones, the receiver has a DB draped on him like wet paper onto the hands without slowing down, in a window so small the ball is through as it slams shut. To me, that's just as amazing as the Beckham catch. Perfect placement, perfect timing, perfect arc, spin drift, Coriolis effect, everything. Those are what I consider darts.

“All I know is you’ve spent a lot of time and energy arguing that a Panthers player doesn’t deserve national recognition for their performance. That just seems like an odd stance for a fan to take.”
-
QBs win MVP (year, month, week, whatever timeframe you want) all the time where it 100% should go to a RB, WR, CB, DE, etc. QBs with a hot week will always be discussed in these type of meaningless awards. You are seriously overanalyzing this.

I nominate Raheem Morris for still having a job. -
Mike Vabrel is getting this year.
-
That is crazy. I didn't know that. Goodwin? Who is coaching the tackles? The interior?
-
You’ll have a day here and there where you do make a couple extra birdies and you hold the rest of it together and get a score out of your norm. But that isn’t every day or three out of every four days.

his name should be in contention according to stupid AI stuff, here's the criteria. Dave checks most, if not all, of the boxes Key criteria for the award Team improvement: A significant year-over-year improvement in wins is a common factor. Elite record: Achieving a winning record, often with 10 or more wins, is a strong indicator. Overcoming adversity: Success despite injuries or other significant challenges can make a coach a strong candidate. Narrative: The award is often narrative-driven, rewarding coaches who are seen as having a breakout season or turning around a struggling team. Lack of a star quarterback: Coaches are more likely to be credited if their quarterback is not perceived as an elite, MVP-caliber player. -
For such an easy pass I see top QB's every week overthrow deep balls. Timing and accuracy on deep throws is not the same at all as throwing against air. Dropping dimes might be harder than throwing dots.
-
I literally said nothing about Bryce Young and your original post said nothing about Bryce Young. My statement was just a reply to your original comment. I'm not supporting any individual player, I'm stating that it isn't 2019, teams majority run base nickel (imagine that in 2005), and 206 yards is not an underachieving performance as insinuated. Not just for Bryce, for any QB in the NFL.
-
I think the part being overlooked is that they have a separate coach for the tackles and the interior oline. Its making a difference that I had dismissed as counter productive. What the hell do I know.

The hiring of Joe Gilbert last year cannot be overstated. Elite, what he's done with improving players and making chicken salad out of chicken poop due to injuries.
-
I mean even if it moves you still kick the BALL, not the damn ground 2 feet behind the ball. I've had brain farts before but brother this takes the cake.
-
If you look at what I said about those throws I said said they were great. Never denied them. I probably credited his execution and focus n that situation more than the qualitiy of the throw itself, which was good not really *that* difficult with good protection. He put the ball out there and the receivers went and got it just like they were supposed to. Not fuging it up when you have it right there is probably harder to ‘get’ than the throw itself. A bigger hurdle. That doesn’t denigrate anything it credits so you know I don’t feel like I denied anything except the characterization of the throw as different than what it was. That goes to the back and forth between the two sides

We just beat the Rams anything is possible
-
Those 4th down tuddies were dots you miserable fugs
-
Those ain't darts. Darts you see all the time. You will know an unbelievable pass when you see one. They are as rare as a Hollywood virgin.
-
LOL, finally something we can 100% agree on. I almost quoted it and said, "so you've only seen less than 5 dart throws in your life?"
