I’d love to know if there were guys open downfield and Bryce didn’t see them. Or was there no one open. I don’t remember them ever taking a shot to TMac downfield. Is that not his specialty? Is Canales not capable of scheming TMac one on one for a shot downfield several times per game?

I was drinking with an advance scout(former CFB player) for the Gator Bowl a few weeks ago around Chicago and I asked him while he was lit up about Arch Manning. The responses were very funny.

Bench Young.

Canales is telling us, but we aren’t listening

Coach speak is one thing but the amount of absolute nonsense he said in those interviews makes my head hurt. It's not corporate buzzwordy, sleight of hand stuff.....it's just barely coherent babbling. -

I'm the same way but I think the heat has finally showed some cracks in typical Coach speak. Job security is starting to creep into the picture and the next step in these scenarios is generally I NEED MY QB. -

Bryce leash is down to 1 link and a bad showing Sunday coming is definitely a nail in the coffin. Ironically Bryce generally does ok vs Atlanta but the heat is on. Regardless, the QB room is going to get a remodel next offseason. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mike White start a game before the seasons up. -
I agree. I'm not sure what exactly Canales was supposed to do Sunday. At some point players have to make plays regardless of calls.
-
Looking over White's stats, his biggest problem is he's a pick machine. Yes, he can move the ball, yes he can hit a big play, yes, he can throw TDs, but he's going to throw a number of INTs too.

I get it but I doubt they are going to trade him this offseason. I want him gone as well. Just rip the band aid off. -

What I would give to be a fly on the wall in conversations between Canales and Morgan. -
I disagree on half of your assessment. If Bryce cant throw down field and their game plan was to stop the run and be aggressive with the short intermediate throws that’s on Bryce. What’s left for Canales to do? Per the press conference the calls are being made. Bryce is either scared to throw them or he isn’t capable of making the throws. For a 3rd year QB neither is good.

I don’t want anyone to compete with Bryce. I want Bryce gone from here, never to drag down our offense again. I can’t take another season of him on this team. -

Damn. Quite a few lopsided losses we’ve had during the Canales/Bryce era -

Reporter 5 is the one that stands out for me. The coach speak answer is some form of 100% we do followed by bologna. But he didn’t do it. -
Is it possible to let vertical routes develop in 2.7 seconds?
-
Make fun all you want, but he is better than the guy they keep playing every Sunday. Give me a forty yard spiral instead of a twenty yard hospital ball any day of the week.

100% Trey Lance is exactly who I would go after and bring in to compete with Bryce in the offseason. He would flat out beat Bryce out for the starting spot. Not a doubt in my mind. -
So even without being hit, he cant do it. What the fug? The field is one hundred yards long and they have to cut it in thirds because of him.
-
Take the money and run, the same train Young is on.

Bryce doesn't trust himself. He knows his noodle arm isn't NFL capable, he somehow duped the entire front office that it was. Guys on his last leg now and it's about to get kicked out from under him. -

I will belive it when I see it. Brining in no one who can play at a backup level doesn't convince me that DC isn't blameless in all that. They literally resigned a guy they knew had so little left after watching him break last year and the year before. -

That's because the national guys pay less attention to the team than the half checked out Panthers fans. Sounds like some David Newton quality content right there. -

TD alt replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's the "me-to-you" factor. Bryce doesn't trust his receivers. The chemistry isn't there. In essence, Bryce won't let the ball fly because he's scared of fuging up. The offense is disjointed and ineffective because the right spots aren't being attacked. Bryce's reluctance is not allowing the team to take what the defense is giving. This is what DC is saying in so many politically correct words.
