Just clickbait bs, but it speaks to the fact that our current QB situation is comparable to the Jets and Browns.

This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)
Jackie Lee replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Imagine how much lower it would be without that cheesy look away pass from last year. Assuming this is like some sportscenter top plays worthy throws -
We're collecting all the short QBs like the infinity stones.

What do you guys think of signing Mac Jones to a 1yr or 2yr contract then drafting someone like lenorris sellers to sit behind him?

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers

Bryce is ass and T-Mac looks like a legit #1 WR. Yeah, been there -
Made it easy to like JR.

No more short QBs

ESPN's Benjamin Solak on Panthers QB situation
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I heard, I believe it Stafford himself said the following. Once the Lions GM told him they had a deal was in place to be traded to Carolina, he personally called Rams GM Les Snead and told him "Do whatever you have to do right now or I will be traded to panthers". Within the next 2-3 hours Rams and Lions worked out the trade and he was a Rams like he wanted.... Panthers had his meds and papers were needed to be signed, it was 99% done... This is why I partly don't bust up Tepper more, they where trying to land a legit NFL QB for years....Just after the 2 and 5 win seasons no QBs wanted to play here.....this was after he told every employee for dang near two years Watson would be a panther.......shocking the full guarantee made him walk away....then he forced Fineererererererererererererererer to trade up for the #1 pick and dig that hole that Matt Rhule leftd much deeper.... Now just now the digging has stopped with this 2025 led draft class... -
Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers
Donald LaFell replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
How many people are blaming the receivers? -
Why? Seriously. Why? He plays high school BS run around behind the line and hope something comes open offense. No structure, no discipline, no timing nothing. Hes just a mirror image of Bryce. Has physical tools to succeed but no football IQ at all. Same results, different kind of disappointment.

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers
Steves89 replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lack of receiving options is a problem but not THE problem. I think this is a better group than Cam had much of his career. -
Jim Harbaugh seems to be a believer in him. Really it just comes down to longevity. We could throw money at one of the aging vets like Brisset or Winston or Mariota but that really isn't moving the needle much more than Dalton. You're just hoping that they haven't fallen off a steep cliff when you sign them because make no mistake it's there and when it happens it's a wrap. We need a draft pick and we need a younger QB with potential.

Lock+7th for 6th my dude. The new standard and about the least you can give for a player....

Basbear started following Go all-in on this 2025 class

Trade the soft ass bitach made Ball for what ever, don't let him infect this tough talented effort filled class. Beyond sick of that weakling injecting talcallium in his veins before his shoelace breaks causing an ankle issue for the 2,734th time...... Dam this class is too good for the "star" to bring them down and they get used to losing or wearing street clothes....

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers
Bear Hands replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
McMillan is 13th in the NFL in yards but 86th of 89 eligible WRs in catchable ball rate. Let that sink in -
No way in hell Drew Lock is worth two draft picks.

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers

This goes all the way back for Bryce. In the draft everyone kept saying he did it without having any recievers in college. I wonder how this narrative came about for him - Today

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers
frankw replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Things could be better at WR. It could also be a hell of a lot worse. There is young talent here. I think guys are beginning to lose confidence in what they are doing. Even if they might genuinely like Bryce Young as a person and a teammate it has to wear on them on the field they are all human. If you put someone in there that can keep defenses honest with their arm and unlock the whole field and get these guys some throws that can give them a morale boost I think we would see better results over time. But we unequivocally need that in order to properly evaluate. -
I had to hear this bad news. Let's hope it is not as bad as it seems.

Many of us where dying to turn any panther GM into a memelord.... I still remember seeing "In Dave we trust"(ugh....I may have post a couple). I still hate herniay and we loved Daves early work....I mean Hog mollies is still a great comment and he under great scrutiny used his first two draft picks on DTs(he only had 5 picks.....thanks hernaiy.......) Scott did GREAT on trades, just was beyond awful at using them to find decent-good-great-elite players in the draft. *But I have called the 2021 class one of the better classes, just the other two where soooo bad. Now if Morgan/Brandt have another 2025 draft class result in 2026, I will go into meme-mode...

Stop scapegoating passing game's failures on the receivers
Waldo replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce's limitations are not a blanket excuse for anyone else. Some can't be proved until post Bryce times but there is substantial evidence that some WRs deserve reasonable criticism. The oline is hurt and overpaid at this point. Tet is the only WR that is completely blameless. DC is backed into a corner but still not blameless with his inability to adjust to the opponent or prepare the team. Also this guy is such a goober. Everything ESPN is garbage.
