  2. Coastal has proved to be one of the best. Easily. Fun to watch them mullets. And I am a Mountaineer too.
  3. Headed to the ‘ship tomorrow night. Good job bugs. Good job.
  4. According to David Newton Panthers gave him a fully guaranteed deal along with a sizable multimillion dollar signing bonus and 24/7 access to my onion fart sausage farm [edited for non rapy vibes]
  5. lol at everyone wishing we had some stud backup QB Dalton not being a HOFer doesn't mean he's not a great mentor and partial coach to Bryce, he's been in the league forever and seen tons of things, he has so much knowledge to pass on. Most of the good coaches in the league were middling players at best, so it's weird to think Dalton not having playoff success means he can only be teaching Bryce the wrong things. Also, if Bryce craps the bed or gets hurt, we're probably better off with a bad backup who isn't going to win us games and end up with a top draft pick to take a new QB next year anyways. If Bryce doesn't prove to be our QB of the future this year, the worst case scenario would be for a backup to find a way to win enough games to put us drafting like 13th next year.

  7. @frankwGuess by the reaction, you hate people based on hair color. Noted.
  8. Probably around 80 percent of the contract guaranteed. That's the going rate apparently.
  9. I only really watch Panthers ball, so not up on his game. I remember a time where a large number of us around here wanted to bring in Minshew to see what he had. Sometimes there are a lot of factors to consider. Clearly Mayfield and Darnold weren't fitting in as well here for whatever reason. I could see Minshew just needed the right fit, based on what little I know about him.
  10. Just for clarification...are we saying he is a ginger a good or bad thing? That's my people. Curious either way. I collect haters, but would love for the narrative to change for my more sensitive ginger kids out there. @ForJimmy@frankw
  11. #43 on this list. Just sayin' https://www.nfl.com/news/ranking-all-59-nfl-starting-quarterbacks-from-2024-lamar-jackson-or-josh-allen-at-no-1
  12. There it is! Now just waiting on the details....
  13. Don’t get my hopes up…… don’t get my hopes up
  14. I want to be a fanboy of XL so bad. He’s gotta produce, though.
  15. Yesterday
  16. No I get it. I think I was just saying top 50 isn’t really anything to hang your hat on. He is a ginger too. Good point. I’m not here to die on an Andy Dalton hill.
  17. I don't think he is very likely to be traded pre-season and even less likely to be at a reasonable price.
  18. Lol. I mean looking at rosters. It's rough out there.
  19. It’s summer league, so take it with a grain of salt. But have to admit the team has played really well and been fun to watch. Agreed, take what we can get.
  20. There are a very few number of legitimate NFL level QB's on this planet. I'm not saying he is not capable of being a backup still given that very limited number. All I'm saying is some people can choose to look at the reality glass half full or glass half empty. I'm relatively trying to remain near the middle. I do appreciate that he has experience with which he can pass on to Bryce. But I think his resume is being put on a level that does not line up. It's interesting you mentioned Flacco. I'd take him mentoring the Panthers starting QB in a heartbeat. At least Joe has won in the playoffs. And won a Super Bowl to boot. He might have only had success largely in that season but man what a run he led that offense on. I can respect that. I'm not saying I don't like or respect Andy. I do like him. And he's a ginger. But as a local fan who has seen losing losing losing mediocrity and a few very short lived seasons of potential greatness. Give me any ounce of greatness every time. Then we can hang our hat on mentoring at some level. That's my position and all I'm trying to convey. Thanks for the chat.
  21. Ok the first paragraph made me laugh. You think he is washed and I understand it. I just don’t think it’s outlandish for someone to think he is in the top 50 in the league. It’s not really a compliment but just means he is an average backup. I’d put him in the Joe Flacco category personally. Old starter with tons of experience that can come in and run your offense if needed, but not someone you want playing more than 3 games or so.
