That market has plateaued because most of the top young players at those positions have recent deals. I wouldn't expect another big spike for another couple of offseasons.
-
I absolutelyagree. I also want better than TMac right now, better than Coker and Legette. I want better than Evans and Sanders too. Those players aren't great. They're below average to good right now. But I do believe they can all improve as they get more experience along with their HC/OC. I guess where I differ from the consensus is that I see BY improving. Just as his targets are. His list of dumb ish is diminishing every game. And his list of good plays are increasing.
-
You can disagree but I would suggest looking at recent games for Curhan. I am not expecting the world, nor should any of us, but we also shouldn't be surprised when a PS player gets abused in games. That's a very unsuccessful strategy.
-
I don't disagree. Hubbard got often too patient. Wonder of he adjusted because he did hit some holes much more like Rico does Sunday.
-
lol no. The Young trade was one of the worst ever. Never want to see that happen again.
-
Because we ran so well against NO last time
-
No one moved the ball on Koo. CB gets a pass because Lucy is a dirts
-
I'm not saying it is I'm saying he does not put himself in position to make the catch a lot of the time

Bryce might be the most frustrating player we've ever had.
SmokinwithWilly replied to OneBadCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If they touched the ball and equal amount of times a game, I could see the argument. But Bryce, being the overall #1 and a QB savant, never having back to back complete games looking like a franchise QB is about as frustrating as you can get year 3. He does what he does in ATL and the week before did what he did vs NO. XL can be benched, Bryce can't. Dalton is worse by a country mile. -
I agree we should bring in competition for QB#1. Dalton should retire. I also know our luck, let Bryce go and every time we meet him as the opposing teams QB he will play like Tom Brady lol.

Scott FOWLER on Chuba in Observer
DaveThePanther2008 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Give them both early reps and see who has the hot hand. I have noticed Chubba running more like Rico these past few games. Not so much pitter pattering at the line and just bulldozing for whatever he can get. I like the way both are running now. It's a good thing to have. DC just needs to be ready to put the lion share of carries with the back that seems to be having a better start. I just hope it isn't like before where it was you get this series I get the next. Doesn't work -
I think Bryce is going to be brought back, but I also think it is a good year to draft a QB in the middle rounds who might fall. There are some who were once thought to be first rounders and who are suddenly 2nd or 3rd rounders. One example is Sellers who is supposedly falling into the late first--if he continues to drop, we'd be stupid not to move up into the early second and take him--imo. He is Cam Lite, if you ask me. Of course, as the draft gets closer, there will be premiums put on QBs. We can already put Simpson, Moore, Mendoza in the top 5 or so, imo, the next tier is where the QB value is going to be
-
Aggressively go after a QB? Like 2 first rounders, a second rounder and TMac aggressive? That's what got us here. Build the team, then get the QB. If you think this passing offense is set minus BY today, you're not being honest with yourself. Now they have potential, but they aren't as good as many seem to think. I can't think of any games this season where I said yeah our receivers and TEs are better than theirs. If they can upgrade QB without doing something ridiculous, then I'm all for it. If not, then continue to improve the TEAM and THEN get your rookie QB like they should have done 3 seasons ago.

Canales and Curhan go back to their Seattle days.

Adam Thielen Requests and is Granted Release
Mr. Scot replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
There's honestly a part of me that could imagine Dan Morgan doing that. -
Not sure who but Curhen has former connections with someone on our staff. They obviously knew something more about him. He's no Andrew Norwell but we ran the ball at will with this guy so he does deserve some props. Zavala for whatever reason cannot stand up to the demands of playing in the NFL. He's collecting a paycheck but rarely is available. I'd rather move on and work with guys like Curhan that at least can stay healthy.

Can't think of Chubba without remembering Mrs Rhule
-
With the way the season has played out so far... When i realize that might make Tepper prone to do something really stupid like give Bryce a franchise QB extension...
-
1 million percent agree. But this isn't "football", it's the "air and ground player of the week" I think you should ONLY be looking at stats for something like that, and maybe that's just a personal way of interpreting this award.
-
"STATS ARE FOR LOSERS!"
-
If "most surprising" Is the criteria, it's probably gonna be one of the 95 games. Lord knows nobody had many real expectations then. Me personally though, I go with week one of 2003 vs the Jaguars. By halftime, we were all absolutely miserable
-
hahaha, love it I was actually just talking to someone yesterday about what his season would be like if he had fallen to the Cowboys instead. They then don't trade for Pickens and he falls into that role with them and maybe is making a run for the best rookie season for a WR ever. But I'll still take him on our Panthers over him having a historic season for someone else, LOL
