I'm tearing up a little

Dear Oregon and Ole Miss, Please beat the dogpiss out of James Madison and Tulane (again for Ole Miss), so the CFP can change this rule and stop this mockery of letting these junior varsity teams in the CFP. Sincerely Yours, Football Fans

Okay Miami stans, you can calm down. You're in. Now take your ass whooping and STFU. LOL Kinda bullshit that OSU stays at #2 over UGA at #3 but whatever. JMU and Tulane both in. Tukane is playing Ole Miss going through the whole Lane Kiffin fiasco so maybe they have a chance? JMU is gonna lose by 4+ scores to Oregon in Oregon though.

Since you don't believe in stats there's no way to have a rational discussion. Statistically, across all metrics that measure a QBs performance, for 3 years, Bryce has been the worst starter in the NFL. Where in any other sport, does the worst player in the league at his position play for 3 years without ever facing one day of competition for his job? And you're right, the Bucs aren't going to tell Baker that. He already knows it. It's the NFL. The highest level of football in the world. Not. For. Long. He already knows if he isn't the best QB on the team, chances are high that he could and should be replaced. Any competent coach/GM would do it or they could lose their job. But since you've said starters are entrenched, backups who've taken the starters job Brady from Bledsoe Romo from Bledsoe Dak from Romo R. Wilson from Matt Flynn Hurts from Wentz Kaepernick from Smith Cousins from RG3 Tannehill from Marriota Warner from Green And a little closer to home Delhomme from Rodney Peete. There's a few

That is pretty wild but I guess it does speak pretty highly of him that VT welcomed him back in a lesser role shortly after firing him. He was Franklin's DC at Penn State for years prior to taking the VT job so it makes sense on that front. Says a lot about Frankin too to keep the former HC around, the prior working relationship no doubt plays a big role there. Can't imagine keeping the fired HC around in a lesser role unless he'd already worked under you in the past. Being a really good coordinator doesn't always translate to being a good HC. I guess credit to VT for not losing a good coordinator because he failed as a HC.

Lol i think is more crystal

He isn’t in any of the HC conversations this year but he was a couple of years ago. I can see Tepper trying to resign him due to the improvement this season and wanting the 3rd round picks if he gets hired somewhere else. The coaching candidates are weak as hell this year, Evero may think he has a chance at a job or can backfill a DC of a contender if they leave for a HC job. BUT this also gives Dave and Dan an opportunity to bring in their guy, so will be interesting to see.

Sounds like a good pick. -
Va Tech fires Brent Pry in September and then Franklin hires him back as DC this weekend. What a weird, ironic, confusing situation.

Its going to be interesting to see how Baker plays down the stretch. he has played well the past few years, but lets remember that Baker played his worst football as the definitive starter (Not counting our turd season) in 2021 when he injured his non-throwing shoulder. Now he has an injury to his non-throwing shoulder, Im going to be interested to see if it affects him.

It doesn't matter if you have 4 teams, 16, 100, whatever. There are going to be teams with a decent argument to be included that get left out and feel snubbed. It just is what it is. Happens every year in the basketball tournament too with a much larger field. What I like about the 12 team field is that I feel like it's going to include every team with a legit shot to win it all. Will there be teams with a decent argument to be included that get left out every year? Yeah. There still would be if you expanded to 16 teams too. Do those teams have a legit chances to win three games in a row against top 12 competition? Honestly, no. Miami, Bama, and ND all have decent arguments of why they should be included but at the end of the day I'm not gonna cry for any of them being left out because I honestly just don't care because none of the three have the chops to win it all so I'm not gonna cry about the schedule fodder. I completely understand the fans of those teams really wanting their team in and I would too. But you gotta be honest and realize that your team has put themselves in a position of being a bubble team by losing games. It is what it is. Somebody with a decent argument to be in is always gonna be out no matter what.

And in fairness, Robinson looked brutal last year however he looks like a legit decent starter, and I think its because he benefits from having DB next to him as opposed to what he had last year. I think A'Shawn is showing to be a decent D-Lineman, but hes also far from dominant so as long as he has 1 on 1 he holds his own and does his job, where as last year because we were so bad he was doubled and focused a lot. That said, Turk...woof. He was brought in to provide pass rush...and he doesnt. He gets blown up in run plays too...hes just bad. Defense is better when Bobby Brown is in the game because even though he doesnt provide pass rush, hes MUCH better against the run.

I don't know how much it will be anyone's decision inside the organization. It's basically all on Evero. His contract is up. If he wants to return, then it will come down to if an offer is made to him. I would assume that would be a Tepper decision because he was the one who hired him.

I had a dream one day last season where I was in my kitchen and looked into the living room and he was on TV coaching the Titans.
-
That's what most rational people was saying with all the complaining about the D when we all knew we had no talent except for a few players since we spent it all on offense.
-
The rules are the rules. Is it fair that a 7-9 Panthers team gets in the playoffs over other NFC teams with winning records?? I mean...we still won the division, right? Random old men didn't decide that the five top ranked conference champions would get automatic bids....the fuging conferences agreed to that format. Also, I am gonna point out that 100% of ALL COLLEGE FOOTBALL RANKINGS are 100% OPINION BASED. There has never been anything but opinions that dictate college football champions. It's has been that way since it's literal inception. Again, it's why it is so criminally stupid as a "sport."
-
Well part of that is the fact that it’s a bunch of old guys in a room with opinions that the rest of us have to live with. The playoffs are supposed to be the best teams. Is JMU one of the best 12 teams? No. Is Tulane one of the best 12 teams? No. ND, Miami and Vandy should be in it. They have to get a system where it’s not opinions.
-
And then if the ACC were to change the rules to suit the "aggrieved" parties, a couple of years from now they would be crying about those same changes that now went against them again. It will be fun to see one of the Notre Dame, Alabama and Miami fanbases absolutely losing their poo by this afternoon. There is no logic behind Miami suddenly jumping Notre Dame, so they seem pretty safe. It's going to come down to how far Alabama falls in the rankings. Anything is possible with the rampant corruption in college football.

Now now the superbowl what did Hannibal Lecter say in ‘Silence of the Lambs’ ’oh Clarice, your problem is you need to get more fun out of life’ if the NY Giants with Eli Manning at qb, could rise to beat Brady’s Patriots, anything is possible seriously, im shocked they are on that tier but hey, enjoy the ride

It's beyond pathetic.
-
If he stays or if he leaves, do you think it'd be a Dan/Dave decision, or (let's hope not) would Tepper have a hand in that say-so? (Still on the hopeful "tepper has been staying out of football operations" train)
-
I mean.....we have basically been Bryce or bust recently. We currently have both Bryce and Dalton under contract for 2026. Are you that sure we are going to switch that up? You are aware the other QB's we have had on the roster and PS during Bryce's career have been Jack Plummer, Hendon Hooker, Mike White, and Jake Luton? Does that seem very serious about upgrading to you?
-
Bussi was really good. Not “unbelievable”, given 3 goals in the 3rd even with the team lapse. Don’t get me wrong I want him as our goalie. Opinions, not facts lol.
