Anybody else think it’s weird we’ve won as many games as Detroit?
-
Need a couple on offense. Bates shoulda got some business at the bottom of a dog pile for that super late hit on Tremble. Ridiculous no call.

Glad he realized what a mistake that Victory Monday was. Team lacked focus all the way from that point to halftime of this game. Not winning in a way that calls for a day off. WAY more work to do but there is growth in this young team. Loved that he called himself out for a few questionable coaching decisions. Great chemistry and relationships in this locker room. Changing the culture of this franchise after years of mediocrity is no small accomplishment.

Will 5-6 wins be enough for Canales to keep his job?

That is not necessarily true. You get a shot to get your foot in the door you take it and worry about stuff like that later. (Difference is he wasn’t going to get the offers Ben Johnson was going to get, he was not a hot name with that track record. Many have pointed out what a long shot he was). He may have known he couldn’t do but so much with Bryce but saw that if he could turn a Bryce led team into a winner then someone would notice. I am not saying I know what he was thinking, just that if I were in that position it might be what I was thinking. -

We have them at home. It should be a win but that’s what we thought about a certain other team lol. We lost to that team at home. -
C Mac is a all pro player hard to do in the nfl at any position B Burns a legit edge that get this weird hate on here for some reason lol we still haven’t replaced him btw Dj Moore legit but i do think Tmac have a higher upside . i like tmac but to say he’s gone have a better career then those guys already is basically saying he’s going to a hall of famer . I sure hope he does lol

This is spot on! This is why multiple people are cautious. Someone pointed out Bryce had his best game vs a top defense but fail to mention last week had his worst game vs a 30 something ranked defense. I like to see the team rally around him post game but no way am I getting too hyped. 1 game at a time but good to be relevant for some weeks. We'd be talking draft only by this point usually.

It's a bought-in group of guys. It's just an absolute rollercoaster because our offense is anywhere from league bottom to what you saw today. I still can't quite get a sense of the build, but the players are giving us one hell of a story this season. Every week is a new book.

The good thing is we finally won one of those kind of games. We lost the last 2 games which were very close. -
I understand blitzing a small QB is more successful than a taller QB… but dang, what was the pressure rate today? Watching other games and I see unbothered QBs just bouncing up and down in one spot going through reads. Falcons had 92 guys crashing the pocket every play it seemed.

Yes winning ugly is better than losing. We made it to 6-3-1. -
Looks like someone has been going back and re-reading my posts about him from almost 2 years ago LOL. Green has always been my comp of him going back to his Freshman year in school. And the thing I kept saying in the lead to the draft that people thought made me sound crazy, was that I said by the time he signed his rookie extension, he'd be a clear Top 10 WR who is considered by some (or many?) to be a Top 5 WR.

That means you have a good team. Everyone has those games, not everyone wins them. -
Will 5-6 wins be enough for Canales to keep his job?
HaricotVert replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He isnt a lock but he doesnt have too much to worry about. Part of the defense for loosing all or most of the next games will be that the teams are, as others have noted, slated for deep playoff runs. For the most part he can say we beat the teams we were supposed to and snuck in a win or two where we were underdogs. Bryce wrote his extension today much to my chagrin. -
It does feel like the guys are believing. If they want to be winners, it takes efforts like today. I hope we never see another game like NO the rest of the season.
