  1. Past hour
  2. I hope. That's what I've been saying for awhile. Our best bet is that Canales and Morgan want to move on at the position and they're trying to get Tepper onboard and they win in that effort.
  3. Absolutely. As someone on here said earlier, exciting and bad beats boring and bad every day.
  4. Maybe coach just wants ownership to know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we have to move on at the QB position. And maybe he will keep running out who we have until the Teppers come in and throw up their hands shouting, "Yes, let's get this over with." If you want change in your workplace, make sure the boss thinks it's their idea.
  5. The issue is no one can say definitively that Dan Morgan did not want to draft Bryce Young and thus as a result no one can say all the things he has done have essentially been against his own wishes. If we had hired Dan fresh from another organization and he had zero ties to decisions here that had transpired in 2023 and prior that would be one thing. We could give him some leeway. But he was here and was involved when we went to great lengths to give ourselves as much QB depth as possible.
  6. Still beats watching Russell Wilson throw the ball into the dirt as soon as a defender gets within five yards of him, same as it beats watching Bryce throw another three yard pass on 3rd and long.
  7. I bet the OC is working his guys on their tackling skills this week.
  8. It's just criminal negligence at the most important position in the sport. We have a guy with zero NFL physical attributes that has opposing defenses basically running goal line type defensive looks against us in the middle of the field because he can't effectively move the ball through the air and a 40 year old with a broken thumb and the Panthers' response to that basically amounts to...
  9. I have no idea why anyone watching these games would need stats to tell them that, but I do appreciate the effort.
  10. Oof. I couldn't sign off on that. Lance is a bust and hasn't been able to show any ability to be a good starter and White is a CFL/UFL caliber player. I'm thinking more like Lance as a 2nd/3rd string option to compete in camp and get a real veteran QB that actually has a track record of being able to not lose games. Tyrod Taylor, Jacoby Brissett, etc. Something along those lines. Like when we had Rodney Peete and Jake Delhomme. One sure fire bottom third NFL starter and/or upper tier NFL backup and then one gamble player.
  11. We all agree with you on this. But, I think Tepper wants Bryce to succeed with the new coach and GM because of the huge investment to draft him. This is understandable. I get feeling that he doesn't want any QB on that roster who is a clear cut better option than Bryce at this point. That would make him look bad...again. We haven't had winning season since he bought the team. He trades away vital draft capital and best WR to obtain a guy #1 overall in the draft and that guy has turned out to be arguable the least productive starter in the NFL over the past 3 seasons. That's got to be a HUGE blow to his ego.
  12. In the preseason games, 2nd string QB gets the majority of the snaps. Just imagine if this team had brought in Flacco or Jones. Imagine the stark contrast if they were allowed to play with the first stringers. Can’t hide your superior backup QB in preseason games like you can with a closed camp. It was never going to be allowed to happen.
  13. I like Dan Morgan the person and the player. I like some of the things he's done here with the draft and free agency within the last 12 months. But what he has done at QB is a fireable offense. I know the Tepper's meddle. But I cannot get on board with this notion that Dan Morgan is entirely a hostage to the whims of the Tepper's commands regarding quarterback and Dan Morgan cannot freely think for himself. He is a willing participant folks.
  14. My ideal plan would have Trey Lance step right in next year as the starting QB and have Mike White as the back up. I would have more confidence that they could both do the job than try depending on getting an older veteran QB that are scarce and hard to find.available.
  15. I was amped up to be able to get rid of my PSL's and not take a bath. I can assure you I will never own tickets nor attend an event in that stadium while David Tepper is getting any of the proceeds. Same with merch, same with anything that benefits his continual ruining of this franchise.
  16. The only conclusion I can make is the Panthers decision makers are just set in their ways for better or worse. The New Orleans Saints kicked this bum to the curb nearly three years ago and have a rookie QB that many people ridiculed them for drafting who might as well be lightyears ahead of our QB room. And people actually want to argue that our GM is competent.
  17. If Young is starting for this team next season I am turning in my PSLs after 30 years. I can't watch BY try to play QB any longer.
  18. Lawrence is an upgrade but I want nothing to do with that albatross of a contract.
  19. If you agreed to work under a condition and your hands were tied… you would pretty much do what Morgan has done, or tried to do. Which is improve everything else. Taking QB out of Morgan’s evaluation makes him look pretty good. There are tells that he was under a mandate IMO which is the OL construction, and the two first picks in 2024 being offensive skill guys. His work in his second year looks much better. We potentially had one of the top few drafts of all the teams in 2025. I would personally give him the QB transition, if we have one, and see what he does in the draft and FA one more year before judging him.
  20. Good question. It's either broken and he can't play, it's broken and he CAN play or it's not fuging broken. It's hard to tell what the fug we are doing at QB. Seems to be making sure Bryce starts and plays at all costs.
  21. Honestly he's hit and miss with the draft. There is much to like with this years draft but it's still early. The Brooks miss looms large and was just an unnecessary move. And at this point we cannot ignore the XL pick any longer and that pick opens a different conversation btw because there were weird things going on with that like why was Bryce Young's father publicly lobbying for XL and pushing who the Panthers should draft? He's better than Scott Fitterer in the draft but I mean that's saying the absolute bare minimum because Scott Fitterer was the antichrist as an evaluator of talent in the draft. Free agency this year Dan Morgan did well overall with what he had to work with. But all roads lead back to quarterback. It is the most consequential position on the football field. To do what we did with this QB room two years in a row is negligence and should not happen with a professional evaluator of talent.
  22. I agree. Tepper was hot to trot to dump Cam in a heartbeat and so many QB's after him. Bryce is the golden child. Tepper's vision for a QB. If he is getting significant playing time after this season is concluded it will be directly a David Tepper problem. Like so many of our problems are.
  23. I am of the opinion we need to bring in a solid veteran who can potentially start for most of next season and at least one gamble. Either a bust QB like Lance/Wilson/etc or a rookie QB. Let's get some shots on goal at the position.
