I like the vibe around here. I have seen some of this poo talking threads over there and it is immature poo slinging and insults. I'd rather not.

It is good to see them out doing these things together. It will make playing together mean a little more for each person as they build those bonds. I really like what I’m seeing about the team in the off season and it’s starting to give me way more hope and excitement than I want to have!

BREAKING: Nic Squirtin' signed
Davidson Deac II replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the majority of teams are guaranteeing most of a second rounder's contract, then the impact to our team specifically won't be that bad. Whether it will be bad to the NFL as a whole remains to be seen. -
Guys that will either make or break our Young Quarterback!!
PadresPanthersFan replied to Doc LRB's topic in Carolina Panthers
As others gave already stated- this is all.om Bryce. It's time to put up or shut up. There are no excuses. We have one of the better o lines in franchise history. We have a strong running game with Hubbard, dowdle and Etienne. We have young, talented but unproven te in sanders and Evans We now have one of the deepest wr rooms in franchise history with tmac, x, coker, horn, thielen, and probably renfrow The only one now that can Make or break Bryce is Bryce himself. ( btw writing this- Morgan and Canales have completely rebuilt the entire o in 2 years) - Today

Guys that will either make or break our Young Quarterback!!

The primary person who is going to make or break Bryce is Bryce. The OL is solid. Probably as good as most of our historic best units. The WRs are unproven but we've spent a ton of draft capital. We have a proven RB behind him. It's put up or shut up. You don't trade up to #1 overall to draft a guy who has to be carried. That type of guy should be doing the carrying. -
ChatGPT and Google AI are saying this: Length: 4 years Total Value: $8,806,818 Signing Bonus: $2,899,504 Annual Average Value: Approximately $2.2 million per year

Guys that will either make or break our Young Quarterback!!

Gotta say I agree. Dunno if he'll live up top pick of the draft expectation just yet though. That said, if he even shows up 25% better than he did thru the back half of last season, we're in pretty good shape paired with the defensive moves we made. He does atleast have that clutch gene down pat though. As for the article, I'd probably put my money on Zavala making the team. The wildcard is Luke Kandra, who iirc was a team captain, 2nd team All American w/ only one sack surrendered at Cincinnati. Impressive. But college is not the pros. -

Bryce has no excuses. His O-line may not be perfect, but they're a legitimate, seasoned unit. As for the O-line, as well as all the acquired skill positions since Dan and Dave have taken over, The FO has done good by him. Yeah, I said it. He's a top (expensive) pick who was been coddled and catered to, and who has had the benefit of the prerequisite amount of patience by the current FO. It's now time for Bryce to succeed. -
The headline says "details"--I am not sure the significant details are in the article.

Ahh, I see why this thread has more lives than Elvis: Still going on about Thielen, after we drafted Nalo and X and Lil Jimmy and acquired a promising UDFA in Jalen Coker, and topped it all off with a good vereran receiver hunting a career resurgence after an unfortunate sickness in Hunter Renfrow. Well, there is the period of June and July where we have to manufacture nothing-burgers to fill that football void in our hungry stomachs.

I didnt read the article, but there are no excuses for Bryce. He will make or break his self, stop blaming the rest of the team for his "short" comings. Had to do it -

If you build it. They will come.

Agree. Dalton also still has a cannon of an arm. So the offense is still functional and all plays are available.

Mingo was traded and Marshall played 3 of 4 years on the contract so it would only have made a difference of about 800,000 between them. All from Marshall

Draft better. That's the solution. The rookie wage scale was a culmination of years of teams sucking at drafting and GMs getting their asses kicked at the bargaining table by players' agents. Now it's happening again albeit at a smaller scale because it's within the framework of the rookie wage scale. There's less room for negotiation but the agents are still carving out wins and setting precedents. It is what it is. Draft better. These 2nd rounder contracts are still a bargain if you draft well and they aren't cap killers even if you draft a bust. It only matters if you Hurney it up and draft 2nd round bust after just after bust.
-
This. People say it doesn’t matter, but it does. If Mingo’s contract was fully guaranteed, the trade compensation may have been completely different. Imagine getting a 6th round pick instead of a 4th. Does that make a difference? Imagine nobody wants to trade for him at all and we have to cut him outright. It matters.

Bully? LOLOLOL Nice victim turn. Of all the issues facing the Panthers in the Tepper era getting hung up on an aging WR making mid-tier money who has performed as expected while being forced into a role he's no longer cut out for is weird. No one is trying to argue that Thielen is an elite caliber WR at this point in his career and I think virtually everyone accepts that the whole situation was a result of poor roster building and over-reliance on young, unproven talent. But to pin that all on Adam Thielen? I mean, yeah it's flat out bizarre.

We are dangerous or popular enough for people to care about us. You would have to instigate on Reddit or something and drag them here at this point me thinks.
-
Brother let's hope he doesn't even have half that many yards. The last thing we need to do is be trying to force him the ball to justify what we paid him. This season should be about the young players emerging. P.S. thanks for the poo spam. Clearly you like older veterans. Which is ironic considering all the talk in the past about Ron Rivera and his vets.

App is in the same boat unfortunately. However, app and ECU will always find a way to beat one of the three in the triangle!

Were you around in the mid 2000's? We used to have regular other team posters here who would give people a ribbing some lighthearted and some out and out shitposters. There was an entire subforum dedicated to it at one point it got so contentious. It was called Smack Central. I'm guessing you would have been one of the folks calling for them to be banned lol.
