dont know if he is up to Warren Sapp level or Aaron Donald but i think he is nearing top 5. Also had Reggie White Mean Joe Green Cortez Kennedy. But the rate DB is moving up, he will be in the mix

Defensive lineman or defensive tackle? I guess maybe it doesn't matter because he's gonna rank near the top on either list. For overall DL it's hard to imagine anybody being better than Julius Peppers but hey...

Good for Brown. When he got drafted I was very skeptical, he has proved me wrong since then.

I think it took McCarthy getting hurt for Darnold to even get a shot.

Not to sound highbrow, but some fans just don't understand how to evaluate defensive tackles

Big Picture thoughts: at the end of last year, we were pretty happy with how Bryce was playing and our finish at 5-12. We didn't expect to get that many wins based on the previous year and how the season started. We were on an upswing, and even though 5 wins is typically not worth celebrating, we were feeling good. We showed what we had the potential to do. This year was a big of a rollercoaster, and here we are having serious conversations about playoffs. And, depending on how these last 4 games go, we could end up with a winning 9-7 record (or even 10-6) and not make the playoffs at all. If we have that winning record but miss the playoffs, should we be an angry fanbase about what we could have done, or should we be a happy fanbase because we achieved what nobody thought was possible this year? I'm leaning towards happy. Bryce setting records (both team and personally). Dave getting recognition for turning the locker room around and getting the players PLAYING. Dan for what is looking to be solid off-season and in-season player management. And (dare I say) Tepper continuing to keep his hands off the team decision making. Can't hate any of this if we end up with a winning record at the end.

Where would DB rank on our all time d-line list? Would be interested to see everyone's top 5

#1 - Yeah...that's not gonna happen #2 - Very much doubt it #3 - If we draft a QB, it probably won't be in the higher rounds #4 - I believe he gets the fifth year #5 - Yes, there is another path, and it's to sign him to an extension this year Number four seems the most realistic to me. Number five seems...unlikely, but I've seen this team so a lot of weird things over the years

That is an all timer there, for me. Kris Jenkins… beast. There was a guy named Pantherfan or Panthersfan whom posted back then that was at that game and was preserved in a photo of the blocked XP or FG. In a crowd in the stands reaction shot. He passed away maybe within a year or two, not that long after. That picture is kind of his tribute. Or memorial.

I see the logic in that. I would also be ok with not extending him and make next year a prove it year. If he 'proves it' then he gets paid a year earlier. That said, BY and his agent might not play on the last year of their deal.. but I dont think BY has that leverage.

Not sure I've seen a better DT at batting down balls at the LOS. He truly is smart that he realizes it will be hard to consistently get sacks because of the double/triple teams he faces, so he just watches the QB and gets his bear paws up once he see the QB getting ready to throw it. On an unrelated note, as bad as Wharton has been for us, he did a good job getting pressure on that play that allowed DB to get the strip sack. Might be his first good play for us the entire year...

As we head into the last 4 games of the season (and what a surprising season thus far), let's get a vibe check on how we feeling now...

I hope we sign Icky but the more i look at the '26 draft the more i think we are in a good place for tackles. Moton is signed through '27 so....
