Bryce missed a game . Not defending him just stating that for the record
3 minutes ago, kungfoodude said:Bryce missed a game. I believe you would mean, "started at least 16 games."
That isn't as fun of a stat, though.
He is currently behind the following QB's that have played less games.
Pat Mahomes(14) - 3587
Jordan Love(15) - 3381
Jacoby Brissett(11) - 3123
Daniel Jones(13) - 3101
Aaron Rodgers(15) - 3028
Geno Smith(15) - 3025
CJ Stroud(13) - 2872
Thanks for the correction. Not yet enough caffeine in my system.

Of all the QBs who didn't miss any game and started in all of the games they played, Bryce is the only one who hasn't broken the 3000 yard barrier this season.

I knew that they drafted him as "Drew Brees V.2" but Drew is 6' and he is only 5'10". Does that 2 inches matter? It might. Or is it coaching that does that? Two inches doesn't seem like much, but it might be just enough (i.e. 6' is too short, but good coaching adjusts to fix it, but coaching can't fix 5' 10").
To help you visualize, here's a photo of Bryce standing next to Drew Brees. I've drawn a line to show that Bryce's eyes are level with Drew's mouth. That is a big difference and the difference between being able to see the field OVER your O-line's shoulders and not being able to see the field because their shoulders are blocking your vision. -

dude literally rolled off his tempur pedic mattress on some beers cans and into Lucas oil stadium after four years and looks better
Watching Rivers making adjustments based on pre snap reads is a revelation. Didn't we draft Bryce because he's reputedly a super processor who can shred defenses with his intellect? Well, well, well...

What's the purpose of this post?
I think he implies that Bryce's remaining fans suffer from homerism of the ethnic kind. Bryce fans are desperately rallying around a fellow "Mexican" in a high profile job in an attempt to cope with what many in the Latino community regard as very dark times.

Another nail in Young's coffin.
He's got plenty of nails in his coffin already. What all of us need is a stake through the heart and put this abomination to rest.

About that 5th year option for Bryce... If any team is dumb enough to do it...

According to Pro Football Reference advanced stats, Bryce Young is currently 9th in on-target percentage. Take that for what you will I suppose.
Seriously, I'm shocked he's not ranked in the top 5 given how many behind the LOS checkdowns he throws compared to his peers. Time to move on.

With a serviceable QB, a good or great coach can turn it around within two or three years. With a historically horrible QB? That's like trying to sprint uphill with a F-150 chained to your waist. This is why I reserve my judgement on Canales. He might be a good or great coach, or he may be a bad coach, but we just can't know with Bryce at QB, which is also why I think Reich deserves a reassessment on his brief stint here, but that's water under the bridge. Going forward, it'd be insanely stupid to allow Bryce to kill yet another coach so soon after Reich. Then again, this organization under Tepper has proven anything but sane and competent. Case in point, they traded the farm to draft a midget with a noodle arm to be the QB.

PFF still giving Bryce poo grades. This dude claimed only he could judge Young because he worked for them
PFF is a gambling outfit designed to sway the sports betting market, so working for PFF isn't exactly a badge of honor that he thinks it is. Even if he did 'work' for PFF, it wouldn't surprise me that he was in charge of dispensing urinal cakes at the office building that PFF happened to operate out of, because his takes on Bryce are just so stupid that not even PFF would hire such a nincompoop. Everything he says is either a word salad or complete and utter garbage.

Maybe Canales is playing 3D chess. He's trying to show to the FO why picking up Bryce's 5th year option ain't a good idea.

Great, then you design your own quarterback metric, write your own algorithm for it, scrape years of statistics, code your own website, and post it. Let's see your intelligence at work.
So, tell me, what do your fancy QB metric and algorithm say about Bryce as of late?

Did he really have just 22 yards at half or did someone spike my drink
Did the defense really get 3 to's in the first half and we still were losing going into halftime?
Feels like last night was a fever dream, and I bet the defense wants to stuff midget bryce into a locker and leave him in Cali
Yes, he did really have only 22 yards at the half, which is the 4th lowest amount of passing yards at the half in the history of the NFL, according to Gemini.

Tommy DeVito, any walk-on over 6 foot and scores very poorly on S2.

If you are honest BY does the job of a midrange backup QB. Can look good every now and then but mostly is over matched.
actually think he’s a great person but I don’t care about good people I want headhunters and people built to WIN!
Mid-range backup? He's a 3rd to 4th stringer on the practice squad, at best.

This is painful. Btw why does Bryce never do a full drop back in the pocket? Just stands there. If anyone needs to get more depth on his drop back it’s him because of this height.
This is what's been bugging me to no end since day one. His basic mechanics and footwork suck historic ass. You'd think he would try his hardest to drop back more so he could see over the line, but no. The only two explanations I have are: 1) his arm strength and accuracy are so limited that if he dropped back further, he'd be out of range of our receivers and/or couldn't guarantee an accurate ball; 2) His actual football IQ is so low that when he's processing the field, he forgets to drop back deeper. Kind of like a ginger cat, can do only one thing at a time due to limited brain cells.

Bryce is the only QB in my memory whose ball spins so slowly that you can literally count the rotations of the white stripes on the ball.

For those who chose option 5, what made you think Bryce is "an average NFL QB"? Everything we've seen with our own eyes and the stats strongly suggest he's bottom of the leap to historically bad.
