Along comes a passing zone and M firm in the right lane. Does doofus drop over and pass me? Nope he backs off to a solid 2 second separation. 500 feet after the passing zone you can imagine where he was. Back up my ass.

In my original post on tailgating the scenario didn’t have a lollygagger. Just someone exceeding the speed limit and someone else driving overly aggressively

Bullying the bully is quite the piece of linguistic gymnastics how is the person who is being intimidated by an aggressive driver actually bullying them by not giving in to the intimidation? Is that what you tell your kids? Just give the bully what they want? it’s getting humorous watching the tailgaters work so hard to make others the bad guy.

this I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02. The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.

Ill take the ones who drive a touch slow and sit in lanes over the ones driving wildly in excess of the speed limit, using tailgating as a form of bullying, passing on the right, and generally driving erratically and impatiently. My moms late husband had a tee shirt that said "I'm not speeding I'm qualifying". Hell of a great guy but worst driver ever.

This was the first game I was able to convince my wife to actually watch. Rodney was so pedestrian in the first half and I just felt her slipping away and that she was never going to get invested. Jake came in the the 2nd half and the energy immediately changed and when Rickey pulled this down it was done. She was hooked. That season's relentless cliffhangers just cemented her fandom. She hasnt missed more than a dozen games since.

Ill admit that Im a hopeless optimist every year about this time - it makes preseason so much more fun. That said I really think BY9 shows us that x factor that we all expect a #1 to have. It took longer than anyone hoped for him to find his stride but Im hanging my hat on that right now.
