Part of the problem is that Little stated off the season so terribly that he lost a lot of trust. His technique in college sucked, and he brought that technique with him to the pros. When Little feels confident about how to execute the play (usually run plays) he starts pushing people around and looks like the school bully. He's no joke when he gets his mitts on someone. Pass protection is a mixed bag, one play he looks good, the next you wonder what he's thinking.

Deonte is a little slow but extremely powerful. -
apparently there was some drama in our draft room

Yeah Tepper was annoyed in a joking kind of way when we picked Horn. He said "Are we every going to take an offensive player?" kind of exasperatedly. -
Tryin’ to make a roster out of Fitty cents (A Horn and a tackle)

Another opinion on our draft from Dator
pantherj replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers passing on Fields tells me that Fitterer is staking his reputation and possibly his job on Darnold being the real deal. Fitterer has seen something in the tape on Darnold to make him think he's our franchise QB. He's seen something other GMs didn't, and we have the entire 2021 season riding on Fitterer's QB evaluating skills. Darnold will decide our fate, and we don't have a backup plan after passing on Fields. Horn has great measurables and potential, but the QB situation is of course the real key to everything. Fitterer has made Darnold plan A, and there is no plan B. Here we go. -
The Big Picture, The Panthers Draft, and You - A Synopsis
pantherj replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
The roster is now middle of the pack imo. I would put our record at around 8-8 given the talent we have right now. Where are we lacking? The problem area is the offensive line. Look at the LT position. The interior of the o-line has guys who fail to protect the QB in critical situations. You can't have that and expect the playoffs. Doesn't work that way. If we make the playoffs, then it's because Darnold played lights out. We certainly have enough talent now to be in more games, and win more close games. 8-8ish is the expectation and anything worse would be injury related or Darnold pooping the bed. The next draft should focus on a proper LT and a LG to pair with our future RG Deonte Brown. Also possibly a better center, and a pass rushing DT. Add those pieces in the next draft and you have a playoffs team assuming Darnold is at least average. -
2021 Offensive Line: Finally Some Answers (or more questions)?

Deonte Brown will fight to start if he loses some weight. Deonte cannot be bull rushed. He's like pushing an oak tree. -

One thing we know about Rhule is he doesn't say negative things about potential draft picks. He wouldn't comment when skipping over Fields was brought up after the 1st round. He doesn't like players being talked about in a negative way. I don't think Rhule would be happy with his coaches leaking "Panthers not high on player X" type information. So is it the Panthers janitor leaking the information? -

Do you think our scouts are leaking false draft information to the media with the permission of Fitterer? -

If you're making a claim that Fitterer is feeding the media false information about our draft then let me know your evidence beyond speculation. If you're trying to convince me that Fitterer was the secret source of some Panthers draft information, then I need more than your hunch. Did someone in the media tell you that Fitterer gave them draft information and told them not to name him as the source? -

This is how I interpret sports journalism. If the person is quoted, it's real. If the article states "my source tells me" that means the source is one of the following: No one. A scrub who doesn't know anything. Not Fitterer. -

He doesn't have to tell the media lies secretly. He doesn't have to tell them made up draft plans or actual draft plans. Furthermore I don't think did. Unnecessary. Other GMs wouldn't buy it, and it only misleads gullible fans. -

And the funniest part is that they will say the same things the next draft. They already have their content ready for 2022, just need to swap some names. -

I would have been horrified had we taken Mac Jones. The sports media had me laughing with how many different scenarios they had coming from their "sources" such as: Panthers are trading up Panthers are trading down Panthers taking WR Panthers taking QB Panthers intrigued by Fields Panthers want Wilson Panthers not high on Lance It was all being made up imo. -

I follow Panthers news closely, and I don't recall anyone linking Mac Jones to the Panthers. -
Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama
pantherj replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh wait this is the guy who I was ranting about last year who did well against Derrick Brown! Here is a video made by some British guy that I posted last draft. Might as well post it again. Watch 65! That's our guy versus... our new guy! -

Here is a pic of another Alabama OG with the number 65, Chance Warmack. Chance went #10 overall in the draft. I want the Panthers to try and get Brown looking like Chance. -
Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama

At his current weight he'll just get gassed and be way less effective. The exciting thing is that he could be way better stamina and strength wise if he trims down and loses some of the excess fat. I don't think anyone has seen him at his best. I suspect the "team rules" he violated was eating way too much and getting too fat. j/k -
So there's the bouncing boobs pic, and right below that a pic of fatass Gettlegut's busted pick fatass KB about to bust his jersey open. What is going on here?

We're making a balanced team. I'm all in. If you're in this forum in May, and year round, you're all in. I want this team to win the SB. I just can't reasonably see that happening this season. I also would prefer we build an offensive juggernaut first, but we went all defense last draft, and our 1st pick was defense in this draft. Just a difference of what I want versus what we're doing.
