  1. I don't like to have the picks spoiled by knowing a minute before it's announced on tv. I fully accept that the public can find out a little in advance of the information coming out on tv.
  2. Here is how I live my life. If someone makes an incredible claim, then I want a lot of supporting evidence. If you tell me you bought a CMC Panthers jersey, then I'll take your word for it. If you tell me you know who the Saints are taking at #60 in advance, then you had better have a pile of evidence.
  3. Teams tell players they'll take a guy in the ____ round often. Sometimes they take him, sometimes they don't. You can't count on that. I'll use a Panthers example. Fan favorite Vernon Butler was told by the Titans that he would be their pick in the 1st. It didn't pan out.
  4. He had to slow up a little. Darnold needs to build as much chemistry as possible with the WRs as quickly as he can. The NFCS is going to be brutal this season with Atlanta adding Pitts to their other weapons, the Bucs being SB level good, and the Saints being loaded even with a QB change.
  5. He looks like he has stuffed a full sized bed pillow under his jersey. Diet time.
  6. This dude is a tank. You are not going to bull rush him. We got great value with this pick, but he needs to drop a few pounds to move better.
  7. Now I will change my tune and 100% believe this if Fitterer says that this happened. I will also fall out of my computer chair in stunned amazement, and this is a scandal.
  8. Ok now I'm going to break down what is going on here imo. The Panthers website needs to generate traffic after the draft. So a b.s story is cooked up to draw traffic to the website, and no sources need to be named. Mystery solved.
  9. Who would have specific knowledge that the Saints are going to take Marshall with the 60th pick in the draft? The war room. Who else would know outside the war room? Saints scouts? Why would a Saints scout tell a reported who they were planing to take a the 60th pick? Why would this reporter then call the Panthers specifically. Why would the Panthers then believe this reporter enough to alter their plans. The whole thing falls apart under basic logic.
  10. What??????? That doesn't make any sense. Someone from the Saints war room called us to tell tip us off on their pick? No that didn't happen. So who else outside the war room would know who they were taking? This story is VERY fishy.
  11. It depends on our pass rush, and how well our offense plays, and a lot of other factors. If our offense is mediocre or worse, then Horn is going to get destroyed. If the pass rush sucks, then Horn is toast. It's all just woven together. Assuming a good pass rush, and good offense, you should see Horn do very well.
  12. He lacks power. He can't bull rush. He's the lord of quick horizontal movement, so he's good at stuffing the run. We need a better pass rushing DT.
  13. Safety LB DT (pass rushing) LT (long term star) Center
  14. The Saints too Marshon Lattimore at 11th years ago, so I had a feeling they might want to move way up for one of the top CBs. I just underestimated how much teams were in love with Horn. The party is over for the Saints now. If they sweep us this season I don't think I'll be able to recover.
  15. Part of the problem is that Little stated off the season so terribly that he lost a lot of trust. His technique in college sucked, and he brought that technique with him to the pros. When Little feels confident about how to execute the play (usually run plays) he starts pushing people around and looks like the school bully. He's no joke when he gets his mitts on someone. Pass protection is a mixed bag, one play he looks good, the next you wonder what he's thinking.
  16. Deonte is a little slow but extremely powerful.
  17. Yeah Tepper was annoyed in a joking kind of way when we picked Horn. He said "Are we every going to take an offensive player?" kind of exasperatedly.
  18. The Panthers passing on Fields tells me that Fitterer is staking his reputation and possibly his job on Darnold being the real deal. Fitterer has seen something in the tape on Darnold to make him think he's our franchise QB. He's seen something other GMs didn't, and we have the entire 2021 season riding on Fitterer's QB evaluating skills. Darnold will decide our fate, and we don't have a backup plan after passing on Fields. Horn has great measurables and potential, but the QB situation is of course the real key to everything. Fitterer has made Darnold plan A, and there is no plan B. Here we go.
  19. The roster is now middle of the pack imo. I would put our record at around 8-8 given the talent we have right now. Where are we lacking? The problem area is the offensive line. Look at the LT position. The interior of the o-line has guys who fail to protect the QB in critical situations. You can't have that and expect the playoffs. Doesn't work that way. If we make the playoffs, then it's because Darnold played lights out. We certainly have enough talent now to be in more games, and win more close games. 8-8ish is the expectation and anything worse would be injury related or Darnold pooping the bed. The next draft should focus on a proper LT and a LG to pair with our future RG Deonte Brown. Also possibly a better center, and a pass rushing DT. Add those pieces in the next draft and you have a playoffs team assuming Darnold is at least average.
  20. I've found a picture of who we are replacing potted plant with.
