  1. Are we shopping for a GM as well? Add that to the grocery list.
  2. Inflation combined with a team that hasn't been good since Cam was injured. Why spend money and a lot of time watching your team struggle for hours and lose? Also these players on offense are boring, and watching Burns get his one sack for the game is not enough. It's just a dull affair overall. I'm happy to watch on tv because I can multitask if things go south.
  3. Our o-line isn't a strong as it was last season because our starting guards are injured. This causes problems opening rushing lanes. A lead blocker will cause a traffic jam. The run blocking will improve when Corbett returns and replaces Zavala.
  4. 2/5 of the o-line is injured. Zavala is a rookie who got blown up every snap because he's not strong enough get to deal with a Seattle DT. Mystery solved.
  5. I don't know what our QB coach is telling Young, but I hope he's encouraging him to throw TMJ open. Put the ball placement high and let him go and get it even if he doesn't look open. Dink and dink is for loser teams that score 13 points with zero INTs. We don't need that anymore. No more poindexter football.
  6. I feel like if we played Seattle again we'd lose like 5 more players. I don't want them on our schedule anymore and they're so far away it might as well be an out of country flight. Let them play some other team next season.
  7. Seattle really beat the hell out of us with that defense, and the field wasn't much help either.
  8. I expect a deep sideline throw to TMJ. I don't expect it to be completed. Other than that? Well let's wait and see.
  9. Technically I don't like to think of any game as a must win until the loss would mathematically eliminate us from the playoffs. I look at this game as a good opportunity for Young to gain some much needed confidence in running our offense. I'm hoping we can score 20 something points and get out of this funk where it feels like were always headed to 13 points tops. The average points scored per team in 2022 was 21.6, and a great team like KC averaged 29.2 points. We're averaging 18 ppg, so 0-3, but we held on to our veteran defensive players as per Fitt's plan. Can I explain what Fitt is trying to do? Certainly not.
  10. I think this game is like the difference between us winning 3 games or 4. Something like that. All this season really has to offer is a few wins against bad teams. We have no 1st round pick, so I can't go into draft mode. It's all in on win this game or 0-17 is still in play. One of our few little pitiful rewards is possibly beating the poop Vikings. We got here through mismanagement, and we're not getting out this season. Just enjoy whatever you can and hope for the best.
  11. First of all I'm all in on pulling for the Panthers to win each game this season. I want us to beat the Vikings and win out. However, this looks like the type of team that will lose to even bad teams like the Vikings early, and then beat a few bad teams late in the season. I see our wins coming against bad teams in the second half of the season. We'll have more of a clear identity by then, and Young will be playing more like a pro QB. Right now Young is playing, and I hate to say this, like he's scared. That should improve but it's going to take time. Young also has been confused by the defenses he's faced, but that too should improve. It's just too soon right now. I see a loss to the Vikings incoming, but if we played them toward the end of the season I think we'd win.
  12. Imagine the turd WR Fitt would draft in the 3rd? Hell his 2022 3rd round pick was Matt Corral. No need to be precious with our 3rd round pick with Fitt at the wheel.
  13. Jerry Juedy would never come here, and Fitt is incapable of making good moves. I would take the deal, but there is no way that would ever come up.
  14. And btw anyone who says that Rhule drew up the contract for Sam, or suggested all those picks, has lost my respect as a reasonable person. Fitt is to blame. And he's still doing bloopers. He hasn't stopped.
  15. The injury happened in Nov, and he got the extension in March. I couldn't believe it. Jackson is short and gets outrun on the deep ball regularly, and that was before the Achilles injury. Jackson coming back from the injury at 90% of his former self would be worth barely over the vet minimum, but not to Fitt. Dude is out of his mind. It's like the Sam Darnold 5th year option. Why? Because Fitt envisioned Sam Darnold becoming an expensive franchise QB and he wanted to save money by doing the option before it expired. Anyone with 2 brain cells at the time thought Sam was a proven loser on the field, and a major LONGSHOT prayer to even become average. Not in Fitt's fantasy world. He was saving us big time money in his mind. This team is mismanaged. We don't behave like other teams. We throw money and draft picks away on trash.
  16. I said Fitt was an idiot at the time for extending Jackson AFTER he blew out his achilles. Jackson wasn't that good before the injury, and now we're stuck with the older post injury version. Why? Because Fitt doesn't know what he's doing.
  17. I think this might be the worst we've ever been bitten by the injury bug this early in a season in Panthers history. The good news is that this team was a bottom feeder before the injuries, so it's not that painful to watch this happen. Like we're going from a bottom 5 team to a bottom 3 team, so who really cares? The Bears but that's about it.
  18. We don't have the same guards as last season. Our starting LG and RG are injured. That matters. Why? Zavala is a rookie, and as such he has not had enough time in a NFL weight training program. His core strength has not been maxed out. Evidence: Zavala was manhandled badly by the Seattle DT. Further evidence: Zavala's core strength was not an issue against weaker d-linemen earlier in the season. Sanders is not that good of a RB, and sometimes I think he's confused. You don't pay a RB big money when he got his yards with the previous team extremely easily. Well Fitt doesn't know what he's doing at all. He makes so many dumb decisions that I'm really at a loss for words. DO NOT give a big payday to a RB who had PREMIUM BLOCKING to rack up his stats. Fitt makes me ill and he always has and always will. I can't stand him. From Sam Darnold to all the other mistakes I can't take it anymore. Booting Rhule has caused, in tandem with Fitt's endless list of mistakes, a Frankenstein's monster hybrid team full of either overpaid role players, or Rhule guys who don't fit Frank and Beans system. Even so, just by default when you have been drafting high for a long time you will have the talent to beat some bad teams usually. That means we'll likely get a few wins as the season painfully drags onward to a draft with no 1st round pick for us.
  19. 11/10/22 - Jackson tears his Achilles. Jackson was never that good to start with. 03/16/23 - Fitt restructures Jackson's contract. That dude drives me crazy.
  20. Answer me this. Was Jackson extended after he blew out his Achilles?
  21. No tanking this season. Just scramble and scratch to win and look pretty stupid out there.
