  1. Otah was one of the best run blocking RTs I've ever seen, and he's a big reason double trouble got those huge contracts. The worst staring tackle I've ever seen in Nate Chandler. Oher is our second best LT.
  2. Maybe not you, but some fans would be ok with a mediocre QB so long as he had intangibles and they liked him. Many fans now have a "just be better than Sam" mentality. I want nothing less than a highly talented QB who can be our franchise leader for over a decade. The 2023 draft could yield that, but the lesser FA QBs are not enough for me.
  3. Basically it's all about 2023. Either we dump Sam for a 2023 rookie, or we dump Baker, or Jimmy G. One of those guys is gone as soon as we have a good rookie QB on the roster. 2022 is a lost season other than it will lead us to the 2023 draft with high picks.
  4. Bakers deep ball would fall right into the hands of Falcons, Saints, and Bucs DBs, or fly off to nowhere. Be ready for a lot of incomplete passes at all distances as well. Baker is trash. I don't mind if Rhule and Fitt panic and bring in another trash QB so long as we don't trade high picks, and we don't give him anything except a one year prove it deal.
  5. We all agree (I hope) that we need a highly talented QB. That way the players listen when the QB speaks. When Sam speaks, no one listens. When Baker speaks, no one listens. When Mahomes speaks, the team listens. Rah Rah QBs who aren't that good make me sick. When a QB is trash he needs to shut up. Players hate rah rah crap when the the QB isn't doing his part. Stop with the intangibles crap. We need a highly talented QB. Moxie, verve, spirit, that is irrelevant. Put the ball where it needs to be, or get off the team and take your moxie with you.
  6. He's right to be horrified, but he's going to piss off the Panthers brass obviously.
  7. If we give him a big contract and trade high picks for him then I'm done as a fan until Rhule is fired.
  8. Baker Mayfield is scattershot trash. Jimmy G is WASHED and was never that good anyway. Be careful what you do Tepper and company because I'm out if you blow this again.
  9. It's all about the price for Jimmy G and the contract. Jimmy can have a one year prove it deal and we'll trade a 4th or 5th for him. That's fine. Trading high picks and giving him a mega contract will send me packing as a fan until Rhule is fired. I can't accept another idiotic move as a fan. One more boneheaded move and I'll leave until Rhule is fired, and this is coming from someone who follows the team year round. I'm out if we making another idiotic mistake.
  10. I'm fine with either QB for low round picks and a one year prove it deal. No problem. Neither QB is our long term answer, and we are only 1 year away from the wonderful 2023 QBs in the draft.
  11. Draft a LT and roll with Sam. We win a 2023 high draft pick if Sam poops the bed. We have our franchise QB if Sam plays well enough to push us way down 2023 the draft. Win-win. If we trade the 1st round 2023 draft pick, then I will leave the forum until Rhule is fired.
  12. So long as we don't trade the 2023 1st round pick we'll be fine. We can recover from any other blunder. Jimmy G would be a stop gap QB who would be cut like the rest as soon as we drafted a 2023 QB.
  13. I just don't want a QB. Take Neal and I'm happy.
  14. I'm fine with Jimmy G so long as we don't give up high draft picks for him. Neither Jimmy G nor Sammy D are going to be on this team once we draft a 2023 mega QB prospect.
  15. Using some common sense I would lead toward the Panthers drafting a LT, or some other non-QB position. If the Panthers didn't like Fields, then I don't think they'll like these QBs at 6 either. That points to LT or possibly a physical freak DE, S, or trade down.
  16. I think we should stay put and draft a LT. The way I see it we should be building our line for the 2023 QB we draft after Darnold poops the bed in 2022. If Darnold plays well, the we can stick with him. There are two ways to screw up our future. 1.) Trade away our 2023 1st round pick. 2.) Draft a poop QB in this draft, and stick with him in 2023. As long as we don't do 1 or 2 the future looks bright.
  17. I know why the Eagles made the trade. What the hell are the Saints doing? That 2023 1st round pick is gold.
  18. Yes I want Sam to start this season. Draft a LT or other stud, and we'll find our QB in the 2023 draft after Sam poops the bed. If Sam balls out then we can stick with him. Win - win so long as we accept that 2022 is a lost season.
  19. I tried to listen but they started out talking about whatever, so I'll wait for summary.
  20. I never wanted Sam here in the first place. I said it was a terrible idea from the start. We have a GM who is saying that Sam is going to make a big leap this season, so I'm taking his expertise into consideration in giving Sam a remote chance of improving.
  21. Another thing I would add is that he needs to develop a mean streak and play more with a chip on his shoulder. He's kind of a dancing bear but a little too finesse, and sometimes I just want him to turn into this mauling ogre. He's just not that guy.
  22. He tends to struggle at times with big DEs when they bull rush. He's not quite as powerful as you'd think he would be for a guy his size. His selling point is his excellent precise technique, quick hands and feet, getting into his set fast, timing when he shoots his hands perfectly, hand fighting, attention to detail, and some other great qualities. When it comes down to pure power in a dogfight with a big DE he doesn't dominate like you would hope given his mammoth size.
