  1. Well I think we are about to find out whether it was the O-line or Sam. Rhule is stuck with Sam and will most likely have to ride with him to the end. Unless we trade down I don't see us taking a QB.
  2. That was a myth about Cam. I remember the conversations this forum went back and forth over that statement. It was obvious the they were wrong.
  3. Willis left Auburn because he couldn't crack the line-up. instead of transferring back to a real college after his Junior year, like Cam did. Willis decided to stay and pad his stats. Whereas Cam left Florida for stupidity as a sophomore and went to Blinn for one year and then WENT BACK TO A REAL PROGRAM and won the National Title.
  4. AND? I've never heard of him. Just because he has player analyst by his name doesn't mean much. Obviously not much of a source.
  5. Pickett is a 4 year starter and is probably the most pro ready of the top 5 QBs. Howell, IMO, is being highly undervalued. His 2020 season would have put him right behind Lawrence and Wilson. HIS TEAM not him was the reason he didn't have the great success he had in 2020. He has all the tools and is not a one read QB like Willis. The way we have addressed our line and we have top tier WR and RBs. Howell would do well with us. I doubt he makes it to the 2nd round.
  6. I bet they don't get but one or two picks right in the first 6 picks. It won't be Willis at 6.
  7. Well there you have it. The QB guru Chris Trapasso says Willis can play year one. BTW who is Chris Trapasso?
  8. I agree. This alone should remove him from our board. If we are going to draft a QB it is going to be someone who can beat out Darnold. Willis isn't it. If I am going to gamble on a QB with #6 I'd rather have Pickett or Howell.
  9. If the only thing we do right in this draft is not trading away 2023 picks it will be a successful draft. Personally I'm onboard with 2) trade back a few spots and take the best LT and use the next pick for a QB
  10. As you may or may not noticed I didn't compare completion rates because in college it is very obscure. How many drops and of course as you pointed out Allen didn't throw as much so a couple more drops here and there will definitely lower the rate.. I think you can see his accuracy now. Willis will not be so lucky. He's a 6 foot running QB that will get destroyed in the NFL.
  11. The chains were more of a formality and always apart of the game. Many mention the chip in the ball so I would assume that will also help with erroneous spots.
  12. Still no comparison. Competition level was much greater. Plus Josh Allen didn't have accuracy issues.
  13. Mahomes and Allen are QBs playing the QB position. Willis is a RB playing the QB position. Willis should never be compared to either of these players. There is no comparison.
  14. Reading these takes It sounds like most of these LT have issues that will need to be addressed in camp if we decide to choose one. BC played well in the end of the season and IMO should be given the nod going into camp. Why choose another player if he isn't a surefire LT. My take is trade down with the Jets considering they want Sauce and could use #6 to the LT they want. We get 10 and their first 2nd round pick 35. We still can choose a OL and QB from 10 and 35.
  15. Yes this is true. I've heard only about 15 or 16 of these guys rate as a 1st round talent.
  16. That might not be a bad idea. That those 2 #1 and go back up. I just don't know those middle round teams would be willing to trade down to the lower portion of round one, even if it were for 2 picks.
  17. Was reading this article and says they would give both firsts and a 2nd to move up. Those picks 29,30 and 50. To me that is too low to get any position we want unless Howell or Ridder would be a target. Thoughts Chiefs Trade Rumor Is Swirling: NFL World Reacts (msn.com)
  18. Yeah I believe that trade to obtain another 1st round pick is to move up and like you said they clearly have their eyes on some player. It will be interesting to see who.
  19. Well that would be even better if they snag the top WR. That would open us up to getting the OT from NC State.
  20. If N.O. trades up for a QB it could quite well be Willis. They resigned Winston and brought in Andy Dalton. Willis would sit behind both and develop. I think they are after a stud LT though.
  21. New Orleans is up to something. NYG are looking to gain some draft capital and could trade down with N.O. Not sure they'll be drafting a QB but they could be after one of the top LTs available. Going to be in interesting 3 weeks.
  22. There was a DT or DE that we drafted and cut and went on to play well for Tampa. Hayes or something like that.
  23. I truly hope Howell shows off. I still think he's the best of the bunch.
  24. You said yourself that Willis needs a lot of work. Rhule's under the gun right now to win and doesn't have time to wait for a QB to develop. Pickett or Howell are better choices if you ask me.
  25. If they trade into the top 5 I won't be shocked if New Orleans chooses a position not called QB.
