I could give a rat-@ss about what ESPN gives us. As far as I'm concerned ESPN is on the bottom of all sports broadcasting. Hell the Bleacher Report is probably ahead of them. Secondly, how are we 28th before Free Agency and now 32. Makes no sense. We've upgrade the O-line by leaps and bounds. Drafted a possible franchise LT and got the best QB in the draft. Yet we lose 4 spots. Obviously ESPN didn't do their homework.

When you have a guy that wide open you are just making sure he catches it. No need to hit him in stride. You make sure he has a good ball to catch. No question of whether it would be a TD or not. I've seen some of his other videos where he hit the receiver in stride. Warren may have more access to all of Corral's throws and not just the highlighrt reels we see. Obviously, poor throws won't be included. It will be interesting to see in real game action whether Warren is right or wrong.

Who ever leaked the conversation thinks we are. Come on don't you think Payton would do well with Corral. He knew Brees was his QB when he was in SD. I have never liked Payton but the man is a very good Head Coach. From what I heard yesterday whoever would sign him would have to give up picks for him since he is still under contract until 2024.

This call got me thinking about what actually was said. I want to think Tepper was asking Payton what he thought of Corral. I wonder if his response was something like. "I think he is going to be a good QB, he's got the tools that I would really like to coach" Of course Tepper's eyes lite up and asked if he wanted to coach him. (This is purely speculation as to how I think the convo went) I think Corral is going to have a great rookie campaign if he gets on the field. I am hoping that if Darnold bombs out in the first two games Corral gets a shot.

Sometimes a change of scenery works. It wouldn't be the first time a HC failed his first time out and later went on to success.

That's what the tryouts are all about. Finding a possible gem. The TE room isn't overcrowded with Pro Bowlers so many he comes in and pushes our TE room to another level. Or could just be JAG. Someone to watch in the OTAs and minicamps coming up.

@The Huddler I get what you are saying and for the most part I think he'll be better this season and show some progress. However, if this team, with all the talent we have, doesn't improve over the course of the season. I think it is time to move on. Last season was the first season since before Fox that our 2nd year coach didn't improve from the 1st year. I would venture to say that 2021 was worse than 2020. I thought Rhule lost the locker room last year and if he loses it again. He's done. That said I would like to see us retain everyone else but Rhule. I would move McAdoo to HC and have him select a OC that closely goes by his offensive scheme. Fitterer has built this team to run the ball, McAdoo's style of offense. Moving on from that concept will only put us another year or two in the dumps. I am pulling for Rhule to show that he's what we thought he would be when we hired him I want him to succeed and build Carolina into a playoff contender every season.

There is no need to bring in a veteran like Baker or Jimmy G which would cost us more. This is why you sign Cam to a one year million dollar contract like he had with NE. Cam can easily beat out Sam for the #2 spot and be utilized in short yardage situation where we don't have to expose Corral to running too often. I'd rather have Corral, Darnold, Newton QB room than a Corral, Darnold, PJ Walker QB room.

Mays was chosen because he has the tool and now he has one of the best O-line coaches in the game. We are clearly looking to pound the hell out of teams on the ground. You have to give credit to Fitterer because they said O-line was a priority and we add a couple of solid vets and two rookies that could possibly start. That doesn't count our very good 2021 rookie Brady Christensen. It's not going to be impossible for us to believe our worst unit, by far, becomes one of our best units in one off season.

I'd wish he would sign sooner so he can get in on all the installs and workouts we will have prior to training camp.

Trying not to get my hopes up but it sure is a possibility. I just hope Rhule doesn't waste a year giving the kid a chance to show up.

I think his ability to get the team behind him is undervalued. Player gravitate to toughness. He's a tough kid and he's going to get the team behind him and they'll work extra hard for him. Imagine being down by a score and Corral motivates the defense to get us a stop. I can see him coming in and leading us to a winning score. I wasn't much on the Corral bandwagon but videos like this (I've seen several) really has me excited for what he can do for the Panthers. I just hope Rhule sees quickly how the team will respond to him. Can't wait until next week when the whole team is together.

Agreed, I just hope he's gotten over his love affair with Vets and lets the most talented play. 2022 picks after Corral I don't see much playing time for them. Seems they have a lot of athletic ability and hopefully they can be coached up to contribute.

For me Horn is a given. Like I said I think there is a good chance many of these guys get more playing time and will contribute to the team. Not many will be starters but they can definitely contribute more than 2021.

I am honestly looking forward to all of these guys making more contributions to this team this year, minus Fletcher. If I were to pick one or two. Marshall and Hubbard.

Ray was probably the most intimidating MLB. He was just brutal. Too many great ones to argue over but Luke was special. Luke was a surgeon. There were many good LB that could diagnose a play but I think it's hard to find anyone better than Luke. I remember when he was #4 (I think) in the NFL Top 100 and half of the segment was players saying he knew what the play was and where it was going. I think my favorite was his back to back interceptions against Romo. The first one he baited Romo and picked him off for a TD. Than he baited him again as Romo ran the same play and thought he would get Luke to bite as he did in the previous play. Luke hinted at it and turned the other direction and nabbed his second Int in as many plays. As far as HOF. First Ballot no doubt and would not be surprised to see unanimously selected first ballot.

You mean you hated the pick and cannot nor will not accept that he has a role on this team. While he may not start he'll see playing time. McAdoo will enjoy the skillset of CMC, Foreman and Hubbard. I hope they take a load off of CMC. I can also see CMC in the slot and either Foreman or Hubbard at RB.

Where did I say Hubbard was the ONLY backup to CMC? You must learn how to read before you spout your mouth off. This entire post was to say our 2021 rookies would contribute more in 2022. Somehow you think if a draft pick doesn't pan out in year one he's a bust.

No where did I ever say Hubbard was better than CMC. That would be a ludicrous statement. What the entire post was about was our rookies from 2021 would and should be counted on to contribute more this season.

Equally you hate on a rookie RB because he didn't catch out of the backfield well. Room for improvement. If CMC stays healthy he probably won't get as many carries but he'll have a better YPC and catch better this year. Glad you aren't running the roster. We'd have only front line players and no depth.

Sub-Par? Hubbard was 4th amongst all rookie running backs rushing yards. Not bad considering he played behind the worst O-line in history. You make it sound as if since he had a poor year catching the ball out of the backfield he's not worth keeping. If he were a 3rd or 4th year running back I might agree with you. The difference between you and I is I see for what he was, A rookie. You see him as a polished vet that is mediocre. The point of the OP was our rookies from 2021 can and should produce more. While he may or may not surpass his 2021 numbers due to CMC and Foreman getting most of the carries. I do see him contributing with much better stats wise in 2022. And should either go down he will be a reliable RB. HE'LL 100% make the team. I'd bet on it.

If we find someone on the other side that can make things difficult for the QB I see no reason why he couldn't win the DPOY. Burns is a beast.

It's obvious that you don't like him but some of your rebuttals are absolute way off base. You know they say that statistic can be manipulated to make any point. You just proved it. Sadly, for you, I fact checked them. There might be 2 or 3 running backs in the NFL other than CMC that would have averaged more YPC behind our offensive line. Henry, Johnson and maybe one more. In fact Bonnafan, Tremble, Darnold, Newton, Moore and Chandler Bonnafan has one Freaking carry for 4 yds. Why wasn't he be our #! back right behind CMC. Tremble was a trick play, Moore is a WR that got a couple jet sweeps. QB's always have a good YPC because they knock out 10 or 15 yards on a broke play. Gotta do better than this. The only running back with more than one carry was Abduallah. How could we let such a good asset go. I guess the 3.1 ypc wasn't enough to keep him. That's a half a ypc less than Hubbard. There have been many RB that aren't great receivers their first year. Plus Darnold wasn't the most accurate passer on those plays. I'd give him a break.

Definitely agree with this. I think we all could honestly say by mid-season we all knew playoffs were out of the question. We should have given Brown, Smith, Marshall and Nixon more playing time. BC should have seen LT from the midway point. It was embarrassing to see what Rhule was putting out there for our O-line and sitting Brown and co. Made absolutely no sense. Some may have seen it as tanking but it would have helped us going into 2022. Hubbard wasn't bad as a rookie considering how anemic our O-line was. Someone pointed out that CMC average 4.5 while Hubbard was only 3.6. 1. CMC is a different level of talent and not many would average what he did. 2. By the time Hubbard started to get acclimated our O-line was worse than when CMC was in there. Hubbard will make the team. period. Brown will be a backup unless he just balls out during preseason. He may come in with a chip on his shoulder. I think Campen will love working with him. Smith is about the only one I see on the bubble and mostly because of his off the field issues.

I won't say he failed at all. Brady IMO didn't know how to use him. Tremble has the talent and I think he'll have better 2022. Agreed on Marshall but I felt Rhule was playing the veteran card with Marshall. The guy balled out in training camp but didn't see the field much.
