Defense is the reason we were in that game up until going prevent on the last drive. 2 4th down failures, one gave them a short field that they scored on quickly. One of the best WRs in football, Adams who ain't exactly half bad himself, and a TE with 9 TD carches on the season. Horn gets concussed. If it wasn't for a blocked punt and short field, we wouldn't have been up to lose the lead to begin with.
Sometimes you need more than 31. You can't lay everything at the defenses feet, especially when that defense has overachieved given what they had to work with. Putting the game on their shoulders in the biggest moments is what franchise QBs do.
The failed 4th down play early in the game was a terrible call by Canales.
He took us down and scored the go-ahead TD with 2 plus minutes on the clock. The pass to Coker was pinpoint and an amazing pass.
I never said the defense didn't play well but, you can't expect Young to deliver every time. He had 32 seconds starting with a false start so we're already behind the eight ball. The biggest key our defense not stopping them was JC Horn out of the lineup.
While I agree we could provide some serious competition at the QB position. I am not going to sit here and make the loss all about Bryce Young. You can hang your hat on it all you want but he wasn't the reason we didn't win the game.

According to Canales Evero was extended earlier this year and will absolutely be DC next year.

I need to re-watch last nights came but my gut reaction was its time to move on.
This could be interesting because he could interview for a HC job. Since he was extended we would get compensation pick if he does get a gig. I don't believe we would have gotten one had he not be under contract.

I don't think anybody puts all the blame on Bryce for the loss last night, but I think with a better QB we absolutely win that game.
I voted 3 but talking about Bryces flaws atp is just beating a dead horse. While I still think he's the worst QB we've ever committed to, all we can do now is just wait to see what the org does.
I don't agree with that whatsoever. You put 31 points on the board you should win the game. Defense is what lost that game yesterday, not because Bryce didn't drive us to a game tying field goal with 32 seconds on the clock. Also considering two of the passes he threw should have been caught.

I sure hope we focus on getting our Linebacker situation straight. Every get defense we have ever had has had a great LBing core. From Sam Mills, Dan Morgan, Jon Beason and Clark Kent. We have to have a QB of the defense and we need to find that guy.

He's gotten better each season. We still don't have a full compliment of offensive weapons. Outside of T-Mac and Coker our WR room is weak. We could use a good TE. I like Evans and Tremble but they are mid-tier TEs at best.
He played well yesterday and I don't think you can put the loss on him. We scored 31 points on probably the most well-rounded team in the NFL. Our defense just couldn't hold the line.
I think we pick up the option and we'll have two years to decide if the upward trend continues. I do think we should draft a QB or pick up Lance or Howell to really compete with him. I don't think he should automatically be given the keys to the starting spot. He should earn it.

You can't leave 2+ minutes for the probable MVP. It didn't help that JC Horn was out the final drive.
I am happy that I was able to watch my team the 2nd week of January. It was nice to have a playoff game. We showed up and played well. We just fell a little bit short.
We need to get us a QB for the defense. We need a solid sideline to sideline linebacker.
Cut our losses with XL and get a 3rd WR.

I felt the first couple of drives that BY was out of his league. He has really picked it up since.

Win or lose the Panthers have shown me some toughness that has been lacking the past decade.

I've been watching YouTube and I can't believe how many clips there are about the poor officiating. There are several people that believe that the NFL rigs games. When you watch crap like this, it's hard to argue.
I didn't watch the game but the clips make it hard to believe the NFL wanted the BUCS to win. The OPI on T-Mac was terrible and you can't tell me the refs didn't see the Buc player rip the helmet off our player.

It's much better than talking about draft picks in late October.

I have seen several clips about our fans. If we can bring this intensity Sunday against the Seahawks they can really make a difference.

Guy has the height and the size to be a force. Should they give him some more time to develop? Are you all giving up hope? Will another off season help if he applies himself? Maybe better suited for the TE position?
I think another season to improve and he can turn the corner.
What do u think?
He's gotta start acting like a veteran instead of a rookie. He always looks like he's playing scared.

I, myself, love open air stadiums and playing in the elements. I'm old school.
The NFL is not.
Same here. But you gotta love the games that the weather plays a part.
Our game against the Jaguars in the monsoon was epic.

Sorry sir, this is about entertainment, and weather games don't fit that definition by NFL standards.
If every stadium was outdoor fans would still show up. If they can play in Buffalo and Green Bay outdoors and still fill the stadium, they'd fill the stadium anywhere.

The NFL should go back to all outdoor stadiums. Weather has always been a factor in games and they shouldn't ruin it by everything indoors. Plus all games should be on natural grass.
Then again I am old school and love the days of the Baltimore Colts playing in the snow and mud.

What I like about Pitts is he's a big target. My only issue with him is, he seems to be a big baby now and then.

With Henderson out, who IMO was the frontrunner. I think it is between T-Mac and Egbuka.
Currently
TGT Drops Rec RecYds YAC TD
T-Mac 112 7 65 924 257 7
Egbuka 119 9 59 919 314 6
This is about as close as you can get it. Egbuka has more target, more drops and more YAC while T-Mac has less drops, more receptions, more receiving Yds and more TDs.

I dont see Seattle overlooking us. That is a ridiculous notion at this point in the season.
That is only for the media and talking heads. There isn't a team in the league that takes anyone lightly. Because the one true tag line stands.

I think the Pack can beat anyone. They have a solid team. Should have won that Bears game.
I hope we make the playoffs just to give our players a taste of the playoffs.

To be playing a meaningful game on the final game of the season is definitely a win. I think our goal this season was to be competitive each game. While we got blown out a few times we also beat some of the best teams in the league.
We're home this week and if our fans come out and really get after the Seahawks our Panthers are going to be so hyped up, we're going to break the see-saw season.

Exactly my point.

The interception was on Coker if you ask me. I feel he hesitated a bit on the route. The fourth down failures are just as much on Canales as Young.
