  1. My question is how did this team get this evaluation so wrong? Why did they think a guy who’s 5’9 190 lbs with no arm strength was worthy of the top overall pick and to trade up to get there? how did this happen? lol

  2. The guy worth 18 billion or whatever it is doesn’t even have the toughness to ignore a goddamn Jaguars fan. Out of all people to let under your skin , a Jaguars fan. I’ve never met one out in the wild before and Tepper lets one get the best of him, are you kidding me….

Under his ownership the franchise has unquestionably moved from the 'inconsistent but occasionally interesting' tier to competing for the mantle of worst in the NFL. Just a steady downward trend since 2018.

    More like free fall trend

  4. Good physical tools but it doesn’t come together on the field. He’s a 4th or 5th WR type guy on any roster. Doubt he’s here after his rookie contract runs out. Bust 2nd rounder

at those points in the game we were still 60/40 run heavy... the passing didnt come until were down 2 scores. Sure use the 2min drill as the 3 passes in a row.. but even after that we were a run first offense. Reich & Brown's offense are run heavy by design.

I guess the 50/50 play splits on the tv they showed during the game weren’t real. it ultimately doesn’t matter because the offense was bad regardless. The numbers are the numbers.

    what?

Our run to pass splits prior to going down by two scores was 28:20... we were 60/40 run heavy offense until the game became pass only...

    38 pass

    29 run

    Bryce scrambled 3 times.

It was 17-10 with an entire quarter left. There were a couple of scenarios during the game I wish they would’ve stuck to the run game. Deep in their own territory when the first INT occurred and also at the end of the first half where they went 3 and out after 3 incompletions. Yeh it’s hindsight but I even said out loud they need to feed the backfield when he threw the first one.

I agree for the most part because Steve Wilks went 6-6 with Matt Rhule’s roster and was honestly a miracle worker with what he had on the field. You’d think this highly paid “all star” coaching staff could do better than lowly old Steve Wilks. If they don’t have a better record than 7-10 then it was a mistake to not hire Wilks IMO.

Wilks’ team would’ve been ready to run the ball all day which they had success doing yesterday. But they wanted the ball in Bryce’s hands instead. They don’t have the guys outside to air it out like that. This needs to be a run heavy scheme for the foreseeable future but I doubt we get that.

I am all for being realistic when judging the team after just one game, but for the life of me I don't understand why so many people are saying we're in a total re-build and using that as an excuse for potentially being a bottom 5 team this year.

We were 7-9 last year and outside of our #1 WR spot, I don't think there isn't a single position on the squad that we didn't at worst keep the same, in most cases have an upgraded that position from last year, even at QB as even knowing there will be growing pains with Bryce, he's already way better than our QB situation last year.

On offense we kept our entire OL (albeit with one temporary replacement due to injury) while upgrading at RB, TE, and while we lost Moore which hurts, the rest of our WRs are better than anything we had last year (assuming TMJ were to improve but I'm starting to worry there to be honest).  On defense we switched to a scheme that should put both Burns and Brown in better positions to utilize their talents, brought in Houston who should be a better pass rusher than anything we had after Burns last year while also bringing in Bell on the back end.

That doesn't sound like a team in a total re-build to me, it sounds like a 7-9 team that improved their roster over the previous season.

If we really were in a total re-build, in today's NFL, you don't START it by trading away a ton of assets for a QB.  You get through the first couple of rough years of re-setting the roster with better contracts and younger players and then make your move for the QB, usually through the draft since you'll have a high pick from the struggling years of the early re-build and will end up with a Top 5 pick during one of them.

The reason why this team has stunk for the last 6-7 years is because they didn’t embrace a full rebuild fwiw. They should’ve off loaded players for picks and cap room but they wanted to be competitive enough to win 6-7 games a year instead.

You’re just trolling his size had no impact on his play and his arm looked strong.

He’s got an average arm. But he can be a good player with being quick and accurate with the ball

  10. I’d like to see Bryce with some guys who can gain separation. It’s going to be a long year if this what the WR group is going to give us. I think Bryce is a going to be a decent QB , I’m just not sure if he’s going to have a high ceiling. I think he’s really limited physically and he needs to win in other areas of the QB position. Problem is gonna be he’s throwing to guys who can’t do a whole lot right now. He made some bad decisions and wasnt very accurate going into the end of the game but I thought the game plan changed and play calling sucked as the game went on. They had a ton of success running the ball early and the Laviska looked great but they just got away from the things that were working. Hubbard was on fire today. But It’s like they wanted Bryce to go win the game instead of just sticking with what was working. I don’t know it was weird.

What's the usual timeline for hammys for either end of the spectrum? Tightness/pulled vs. off the bone?

I think there are 3 grades or levels of a hamstring injury. Strain, pull, and torn. A pull is slight tearing that can heal with rest and rehab. A grade 3 would require surgery I believe. I’ve heard the higher up on the hamstring closer to the glute- it’s more serious and it will take longer to heal. It looked like Horn was holding down lower on his leg more behind his knee. It’s hard to know until later this week.

It wouldn’t shock me if he goes on IR. His body just doesn’t seem capable of being able to withstand the physical demands of being in the NFL

  12. This team is in trouble for a little while longer. that’s for damn sure. There’s hardly any big time talent on the roster and you’re down a couple more high draft picks. Trading for Darnold , trading for Corrall, not trading Burns as part of a true rebuild…it’s just beating a dead horse at this point. The org thinks they can be competitive but they’re just wrong. Their decisions are misguided because they think the team is better than what it is.

It’s been long enough to say Fitt ain’t it. And that’s that.
