  1. South Carolina just increased regulations for flounder... " The results from a 2019 study of the Southeast’s flounder, one of the region’s most sought-after saltwater fish, were sobering: the research showed that southern flounder numbers were at historically low levels across the region due to overfishing. Following the regional study, biologists from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) confirmed similar trends in South Carolina waters: the overall abundance, number of young fish produced and average size of southern flounder were all down. A public survey showed similar observations and concerns among South Carolina anglers, who expressed a strong preference for quickly rebuilding the fishery. Now, the South Carolina General Assembly has responded with a suite of changes that will reduce the harvest of southern flounder in South Carolina waters, allowing the population to begin recovery. The new regulations include a minimum size limit of 16 inches and allow a catch limit of 5 fish per person per day and no more than 10 fish per boat per day. Previously, the minimum size limit was 15 inches, and the catch limit was 10 fish per person per day and 20 fish per boat per day. These changes apply to all Paralicthys species in South Carolina, which includes Gulf and summer flounder in addition to southern flounder. The new regulations will take effect July 1, 2021." https://www.dnr.sc.gov/news/2021/jun/jun22-flounder.php
  2. all 26 of them over the last 2 weeks. " The first thing that jumps out to me is the fact that Jalen Johnson got his own individual workout. That’s more likely by design from his camp rather than special interest from the Hornets, but I found it notable nonetheless. Johnson, James Bouknight, Keon Johnson, and Isaiah Jackson all have the potential to come off the board when the Hornets make their selection at 11 overall. Charles Bassey, JT Thor, Joshua Primo, Jaden Springer, Chris Duarte, and Roko Prkacin, among others, are all projected to go in the late first or early second round. The Hornets don’t currently own a pick in that range (they have 56 and 57 along with 11). They’re likely just doing their due diligence, but they could have plans to make some moves on draft night to end up with a pick around the turn between rounds." https://www.atthehive.com/2021/7/14/22576639/charlotte-hornets-2021-nba-draft-workouts
  3. you take someone with that kind of athletic ability, and the work ethic he's shown so far, the desire to surpass and define greatness....
  4. I'm so starved for some Panthers info I don't care if all you report on is shoe colors.
  5. surprised Cam got it and not Shaq. Growing more concerned about LT by the day.
  6. we also have Perryman under contract next year at a very good deal for us, allowing us to keep him cheap or cut and run. Let's hope he can be the guy. We'll need a new OLB next year, but with Perryman and Jermaine, I hope we have our ILB situation firmed up in the short term.
  7. not a lot of fat to cut after Shaq....we are in excellent shape. I was looking at numbers this morning...hopefully we can get a LT in the first round next year...we need linebackers, and a FS, and a stud guard and center would be nice. However, we have the cash now to sign a top flight OT next year, and Jessie Bates is a free agent next year at free safety. The market, as always, for LT next year is very tight and very expensive...but we can be players. We're closer than we think....if Darnold can be the guy.
  8. hope we give a healthy Daley a shot in the new system with an offseason.
  9. Enjoy the last season with Shaq. His cap hit next year is 18.2 mill (lol). We'll cut him and save 12 mill post June 1.
  10. interesting, but like you said, depends on who is there
  11. I'm really excited about David. And we have him for 2 years for a million each...one of the better bargains on the team. Sam Darnold has to excited in his britches when he looks at this receiver group.
  12. I'd rather see him start the season than Little. I think that's why he was brought in.
  13. 3rd round offensive linemen rarely make an instant impact. If he can win a starting guard spot, that would be good enough for me. If he does indeed end up starting at right tackle, and actually plays average in his rookie season, I'd be pretty excited. We have a coaching staff that I believe will develop players. The question is will Moton go to the left side and can he make the transition, and we really don't have any evidence to say that he won't.
  14. here's another simple recipe that has a wow factor, and for some reason, women love them. It's a fried pickle, and you can do them in an air fryer. Get a package of egg roll wraps, lay one flat. Put on a piece of Havarti cheese, then take a dill pickle spear and roll it up. Depending on your air fryer, go 2 to 3 minutes then turn it over and go another 2 or 3 minutes. That's it. Serve with a sriracha ranch dipping sauce. It is so simple it shouldn't be that good, but it is. Doesn't travel very well, but air fryers don't take up much space.
  15. very interesting clause in Ramzcks contract... "One component of Ramczk’s deal generates intrigue about New Orleans’ future at the tackle position. The contract includes a $1MM bonus should Ramczyk be named a first- or second-team All-Pro at left tackle, Yates tweets. If Ramczyk earns this bonus, his salary balloons by $1MM in each subsequent year." https://www.profootballrumors.com/2021/07/details-on-ryan-ramczyks-saints-extension Would love to see that as part of our deal with Moton.
  16. wow...from NFL HC to high school coordinator.....that's incredible
  17. one amazing thing in that stat is how far away he is from everyone else on the list...it goes 53, 54, 55 then jumps to 66
  18. not a lot of news here, but a great breakdown on our cap. "At the end of the 2019/20 season, few NBA franchises appeared to be in a worse spot than the Hornets, who won just 23 games, missed the playoffs for a fourth straight seasons, and didn’t have any young players with legitimate star upside on their roster. The Hornets didn’t snap their playoff drought in 2021, but a year later, their outlook is considerably brighter. That turnaround can be attributed in large part to nailing the No. 3 pick in the 2020 draft. LaMelo Ball became the NBA’s Rookie of the Year and looks like the best bet of any 2020 draftee to eventually make an All-Star team. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/06/2021-nba-offseason-preview-charlotte-hornets.html
  19. the left tackle's contract is up after this year. They'll move Ramczyk to left tackle next year (and probably a lot this year as much as Armstead is injured. 19 mill per year for a LT is worth it.
  20. I think they are planning on moving him to LT when Armstrong's contract runs out after the season (or gets hurt again). He's played LT for the Saints before. That would justify the 19 mill per year.
  21. here's an extremely simple recipe for cooks of any level, and one that has a good bit of a wow factor. You don't even have to cook anything. It's a perfect summer dish, great for brunch and parties. If you really want to impress someone, you can tell them that it's shrimp ceviche. You can buy frozen cooked shrimp, even cocktail shrimp, just make sure they are peeled. Bloody Mary Shrimp pound of cooked shrimp, chopped 3/4 cup bloody mary mix ( get a spicy one) 1.5 teaspoon of celery salt juice of 1 lime 2 tbl minced cilantro 2 tbl minced red onion 1 diced avocado hot sauce salt and pepper to taste Put the shrimp in a plastic bag, add the bloody mary mix, half the lime juice and the celery salt. Let it marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hours, 3-4 is better. Drain and add the other ingredients. serve with chips, plantain chips, or over rice. Can be a meal or an appetizer.
