  1. I have never thought Moore should be a WR1 on any team. That's just not who or what he is.
  2. Cancer, my ass. Robbie just isn't willing to accept losing with a smile.
  3. I am the person that generally likes to give a person time. Long time Huddlers know that. I was arguing for Wilks just a few days ago. I wasn't looking for anything but NFL-level coaching. I didn't see it.
  4. Though I agree fundamentally in most respects, yesterday was P.J. Walker's worse game by far. I'd say that his performance also speaks to coaching.
  5. Come on, dude. Like I said, I expected us to lose; what I didn't expect was for us to have three timeouts left, and just to mail it in for the half. Wilks is not some newb to the NFL. That course of action was unacceptable. You might lose, but you play to win. Trying to back your way into a win by putting the brakes on prematurely is not what credible coaches do, especially ones with their job on the line. You guys are trying to make my post ostensibly about winning. Look again. It's about the chicken-sh¡t coaching.
  6. Not really. Injuries are a part of the game. We've played without Horn and Luvu before, as well as others. The defense would probably look a lot better if the offense wasn't dog poo.
  7. Hell, I can accept losing. I expected us to lose. What I didn't expect is to stop the opposition, have roughly 90 seconds (or whatever it was) three timeouts, but let the clock expire, when the opposition---defending champion--gets the ball first in the second half. Hell, even if you were getting the ball first, you STILL try to score.
  8. Not even about that. Wilks has been in the NFL long enough to not play to lose. This was P.J. Walker's worst performance. I wonder why...
  9. It really says it all. It was that bad.
  10. My son was like, "Why aren't we calling a time out?" He said that on the Rams third and long. I replied, "Because if we stop them we can use our three timeouts to go down and try to score." I FULLY expected us to do the normal, sensical thing that coaches do. Man, my mouth about fell open when we took the pus-err "conservative" route.
  11. He might as well for all the good that the guy has done. Honestly, it probably doesn't matter. Deep down in our hearts, we all know that this season is spiraling down the drain. A wasted season!
  12. Yep, that was a defining moment.
  13. I'm not piling on Wilks. I said that he's not our future HC, and I didn't stutter. He was already behind the eight ball, and today's game plan was destined to fail. Nary a one of you thinks that Wilks is going to be our HC next season. Not one of you.
  14. You're not going to see much emotion out of Moore at all. That's not who he is...which some would say has been an ongoing issue since he's been here. Emotion on the sideline doesn't bother me at all, and I'm not going to use it to pile on a player.
  15. You would see me throw it out.
  16. What about the WR you've been ballyhooing? If you tell tell the truth, all the receivers are underperforming. Ask yourself what are the common denominators.
  17. You have to play the hand you're dealt, but that doesn't mean playing scared.
  18. Regardless of all the obvious excuses that one can muster for Wilks' performance, I haven't seen anything that makes me think that Wilks is head coaching material. Game-specific coaching sounds good and actually is good for coaches that know how to do it. Game planning around your strengths and the opposition's weaknesses is smart, but playing to your opponent's weaknesses just enough to keep them in the game, playing not to lose, and especially coddling a small lead in the first half or even the third and fourth quarters when your team is struggling offensively seems to be simply dumb. It speaks to situational play calling. Speaking of play calling...game planning...setting up a plan to just run and screen-pass (yes I'm using it as a verb) your way through the game and expect to win. Any defense worth its salt is going to figure you out because you're making things easy for them. You should be using the run to set up the pass and pass to set up the run. You must take some shots down the field to have any credibility. Talking about going to the well ten too many times.
  19. It's like they're playing scared. Not going to remove the Interim tag like that.
  20. There is no Steve "Wilkes," people. His name is Steve Wilks. That is all.
  21. If they're not letting Walker throw it beyond the line of scrimmage, why have him.out there?
  22. I just don't see the need for a small RB. We could probably use him on some gadget plays though.
