"At least half of his game"? That's ludicrous. Huddlers that aay things like this have obviously done no--or very little--homework on Corral's skill set. And I'll leave it at that.

I have no doubt that if Matt actually wins the job, much like Russ did, then Fitterer's influence (if necessary) will make sure that he gets the job.

I gave him a pass, as he's apparently the moderator.

Glad your fam got through Covid. My fam had its bouts back in January. It's not fun. Some extended fam even as late as this month as well. I'm gonna tell y'all right now: don't get complacent with BA.5. At least keep aware of what's going on with it. Y'all already know how I feel about MC9. It's time to watch. I am smiling at the thought of this appearing to be a genuine competition as opposed to a Mayfield coronation. May the best QB win!

Robbie was supportive of Sam and the team. I don't think he appreciated Brady's skills as OC (or lack thereof), but that's likely the case for everyone. He sounds like he expects the coaches to do a better job of putting the players in the best position to succeed; It sounds like there was little consistency from 2020 to 2021 in that regard. He mentioned that maybe there was too much reliance on CMC, and that perhaps had a hand in the offense's slide. All in all, it was interesting in my opinion. I appreciate the link because I'd have likely never known about the interview, much less the show. Pacman Jones needs to do less talking and more listening.

But with Brady, Evans and Godwin though... He may be a troublesome third option, particularly down in the red zone.

Nah, the play of the individual will make the decision.

That comment Murray made really stuck in the craw of the owner Michael Bidwill. He probably got Keim on the phone immediately. Honestly, it probably should've been the Cardinals saying that they wanted a grown-up with all of Murray's antics. I know that as a Panthers fan that we really can't laugh at anyone at the moment, but I will laugh at them if things start going sideways.

I was just getting ready to post something like that in other words: If you have to go through all that, you probably don't need to be doing it.

He looked really unhealthy to me, like he was not only obese, but bloated. I'm glad that he listened. Now he needs to lose the shirt.

I like the image. Not gonna lie, I had to look #2 up. I forgot Moore has changed his number

Not really "bad everywhere else," but not good the last couple of seasons. He had triceps surgery between 2020 and 2021. We need bodies in the gaps.

More behind the scenes info on the Mayfield trade
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some of you complain about every single thing. Why would Rhule even need "excuses" right before training camp? -
Four years of brand new ownership of an NFL franchise is not enough time to build a troubled franchise into a perennial contender. Running a successful franchise is not static, it's dynamic. Patience is your friend; a lack of patience is your enemy.

Well, I'd think that this offseason has at least provided enough evidence that Rhule and company have been more thoughtful about their plan and approach to improve the team. How they exactly got there, we'll likely never know the complete story. As for reports about Rhule being happy when he leaves, that's simply based on money and the thought that he will have many opportunities in the NCAA. It doesn't mean that he actually wants to leave his current position, or that the staff is bereft of harmony. I'm sure they're has been stress and tension due to the train wreck that was last season. But, however the change came about, Rhule has been better for it this offseason, and hopefully the change will translate during the season. -
Texans 2nd Round rookie diagnosed with leukemia

He's got some rough days ahead, but he's young and strong with a form of cancer that's very much conquerable. His comeback will be a great story. -

That's not really diminished authority, it's smart leadership. Willingness to adapt due to the situation is not a bad thing. -
I really don't remember all these people saying that the defense was special. In fact the overall rankings say it was middle of the road, which is not exactly dog sh¡t, and which is more in line with what took place in the games (and I watched every one of them). We had multiple injuries, inexperience, problems with getting off the field on third down, and had to overcome a terrible offense to boot. I've been watching football for 50 years like some here too. No cap! I do believe that some within the media are trying to shoot sunshine up our asses regarding the defense, but I also believe that there is some reason to be optimisic with the young talent, and with some veteran additions that should at least be able to be average in Woods, Wilson and Ioaniddis. If we can stop the run more consistently and get off the field on third downs, we will move within the top 10 of overall defense. If we do one or the either, I think we'll move up to the top half of the league. I don't think it's all doom and gloom, but, yes, some of our defensive improvement will come down to the offense's efficiency or lack thereof.

Well, it's like I said: it's more guaranteed money, not more money per se. The offset language within the contracts speaks to the guarantees.
-
I don't believe that we know what the hold up was. Do they really have the power to hold franchises' feet to the fire? Not really. Sometimes it's simply the offset language in the contract. It doesn't have to be about "more money", just the guarantees.

They were my top two QBs this draft, and that was for their upside. I think they will surprise.
-
I'd say that considering the context, that Robbie Anderson's numbers were above average in New York. I know I could be kinda splitting hairs. In my opinion, he's only had one off year, and that was 2021. It's unfortunate that this coincided with his above average contract. Hopefully it was a blip in the road for him and the rest of the franchise.

Times are tough, but they've always been for many people. The fact that they'd welcome what could be considered hypocrisy or wrong--depending on one's perspective--in order to get paid or having after being paid just shows how off kilter that society has gotten. But that's another discussion that's perhaps more appropriate other forums. I think that Robbie, just like many athletes, has to literally accept the boos because a portion of folks are going to do it regardless. The issue for some seems to be that he spoke up about it. He called out some fans. To me, he's got a point, but to others he should keep his mouth shut. In general, I think that people should remember that athletes are people too (with all types of personalities and experiences). They must remember that fans are too. Just like fans voice their displeasure, athletes are going to do that sometimes as well. It doesn't make either of them bad people. I could go on, but suffice it to say that I believe in that there are better ways to display your displeasure than booing your own team.
