While that is nice in theory, I think most teams will want to do the same. So the problem becomes that nobody wants to trade up and if they do, it's a buyer's market so they won't offer close to value. I highly doubt we are trading back unless some team in the Early - mid 10s sends us a really good offer

Some one may want to trade up to take the 3rd qb ahead of the saints. I could see the seahawks having some interest

Nobody seemed to care when they relocated to New Orleans. And that was a pretty decent team.

Between the losing and the crappy tv deal, they've become an afterthought.

    I'm pretty sure people cared

I've had a boner for Green this entire process once I dug more on him on tape.  I think he plays hard and violent and we need that.  My only concern is the assault stuff.  Seeing and wondering how that goes, however if we've done actual dilligent background work and he clears, we need him in a panthers jersey.

He's been accused of sexual assault TWICE. no way I'd be cool with picking him.

Dan Hurley is really getting some humble pie shoved down his throat this year. Good to see. He's always seemed like a dick but after back to back championships and an absolutely dominant run last year it looked like he was gonna take over college basketball.

Probably should have taken the money from la

Or maybe their team doctor(s) looked at him and realized he's a ticking time bomb, even though he technically passes a physical today.  I do think it's dumb they were able to effectively change their mind on the deal though.  It wasn't a mystery he's made of glass.

Yeah that's never been the rules though.  They flat out said they failed him because they didn't think he could be their center in 5-10 years. Just one more reason to hate their guts

I wouldn't root for any of these big market teams if you paid me.

I am thrilled the lowly Hornets embarrassed them in their own city. That's the absolute least they deserve.

I'm glad they won but super annoyed that they put out a statement that they were going to explore options with the League and then silver said we hadn't filed any grievance with the league. Front office is pussies just like the players

I have no ill will towards him but a broken clock is more accurate than Hurney. He could nail a first round pick but it was downhill after that until the following April.

Compare his full drafts to Rhule/shitterer. Im not saying he was good, I'm just saying it can always be worse.

  8. I don't think anyone is trading up unless someone falls in love with the 3rd qb and thinks the saints are going to take them.  Assuming that would be milroe having a killer combine. To me I'd rather stay at 8 and let the saints reach for a qb instead of trading back to 18 for the seahawks or 21 to the steelers

  9. No way in release him for him to sign with the Lakers for free. fug that.  Give us their next 1st round pick for their bullshit and sit his ass on the bench for his.

He may be only 23 but he's a professional being paid very well. We sent you to a better situation and they got cold feet. If anything he should be a man and be hell bent on making the Lakers look stupid. He should go out against them in a couple weeks and go for 40 and 20. But that pussy just like 99% of the guys on this team has no balls.

I wouldn't trade him next year either. I'd assign him to Greensboro and let him rot for a year. Wouldn't play him a single minute there either. Ride the bus and shut up and take your 6 million dollars.  I'm fed up with all these players we've collected.

Sounds to me like the Lakers slept on it and had second thoughts. I say f*ck them and I'm glad we are challenging it I'm tired of seeing small market teams get the shaft. Though ultimately I will be very surprised if the league rules in our favor.

Man they must really want Mark Williams off the damn team lol.

I hope we get the 1st round pick and keep williams

I think this will be interesting all the way around. I imagine the Lakers got cold feet and found a doctor to fail the physical. By all accounts he was traded with a current physical done and the Lakers knew what they were getting.

I am sure Mark is going to feel really welcome /s wherever he ends up.

If he's on the team I'd like to see williams go for 25 and 16 when we play the Lakers after the break.  Maybe this will motivate him.

  12. fug the Lakers.  They say they killed the deal because maybe he can't be their center in 10 years and are lying about the whole deal.  They think they can make the rules because they're a big market team. I didn't like the trade but like even less that they think they can do whatever they want

I think we should trade Ball when we can.  Dude is going to remember things like this and I blame being on this team for the snub.

Yeah I could see that.  He doesn't seem to take accountability.  He could certainly blame the hornets for all his injuries.  I think the team has injury issues because the best player is soft so the rest of the team follows suit

So rumors being that the Mavs got tired of dealing with Luka. Smoking and drinking, over weight with conditioning issues and health concerns for them to pay him the 300m contract.

this week has been wild nba trade wise.

If that's the case what a great trade.  Davis is already hurt lol. At least pick someone that misses less time than Luca

He’s an immature child. He has talent but doesn’t seem particularly interested in achieving anything as a professional basketball player. Just a stat sheet stuffer when he does play.

I'm done with his poo to be honest. Ship him else where and bring Dan Morgan in as gm bc we need some fuging Dawgs on this team. I can't imagine Anthony Edwards sitting for a month because he sprained his ankle. I'm keeping Miller fug the rest of them

  16. Luke was the best player at his position every year he played outside of his rookie year and was a top 3 defensive player about every year. Half of Mannings career he wasn't even a top 15 qb. Luke not being a first ballot is an absolute fuging dog poo shame

We say this every year but a healthy Hornets team could be fun next year. It probably won’t be but it could be.

    G - Ball, Mann, Simpson

G - Miller, Green, Smith, Jeffries

    F - Knecht, Williams

    F - Bridges, Salaun, Okogie

    C - Nurkic, Diabate

Add in one of Flagg, Harper, or Bailey and things could be looking up.

Some players are just soft and have soft injuries. Seems to me if Ball committed himself to taking care of his body his ankles wouldn't be so weak that a sprained ankle keeps him out for a month
