Perfect throw. Crazier catch. 4th round WR. Not just a RAS guy.

I'm not a fan of running Daniel's so much. He ain't Cam or Lamar. More RG3. WAS is flirting with disaster.
-
And this is why we need playmakers.
-
I'm thinking he'll be back. Especially since Dell may miss the whole season, if he even comes back at all.

I swear some people don't understand this. Get in the endzone when you're inside the 5. Run past faster DBs when the ball is in the air. Jump over taller players to highpoint the ball. Never get tackled one on one in the open field. We used to call it "getting power from the ball." Now that I think about that...

Texans have an elite defense and a really good young QB with 3 years left of reasonable cap hit. They have weapons to spare. Just need Diggs and Dell to get healthy. Improve the oline and place kicker, man up and stop making silly mistakes in the playoffs. Nobody's coming to save you. Nobody feels sorry for you.

I do agree some team will pick him up. He's too talented not to. I just don't think the Ravens picked him up because of that. They're just trying to make sure none of their playoff/Super Bowl opponents use him just to get an advantage on their offense. They're a well run organization. I don't think they really care about a comp pick for DJ.

What if Will Campbell is available at #8? Do you think it makes sense to plan Moton's replacement? Maybe move Ickey. He might be better as a RT, without the pressure of that blind side protection. Just a thought. Personally think an Edge or DT needs to be the pick. Definitely defense, and/or move back.

Ravens just making sure no other playoff team picks him up to get intel of their offense. I don't think they're being petty or planning to get comp picks.

Why release Ashawn?

I think they need a guy that's more quick than fast. Either way, Tet doesn't really fit the bill. Would he improve this pedestrian receiving corps. Absolutely. But he wouldn't be my first choice.

Dude! Why is this so hard to accept? No one knows if Bryce will become an elite to lead this team to a Super Bowl, but it's not fair to critique his production until they get him some real weapons. Thielen is his best receiving weapon. I don't think anyone would argue that. What do you think Malik Nabers would do with this: This is what our best weapon did with it. No lie. That's how this play ended.

Young's transformation is ridiculous. I can't believe he's the same guy that started this season. But Zavala... Honestly thought that guy didn't belong in the NFL last year. Like how was he even drafted? How did he even play D1 football? This year, he looks like he'd be ready to take over for Lewis or Hunt if they're injured or ready to move on. His glow up is on another level.

Exactly. Agree with all.

I could see where at least one of them goes. Panthers are definitely drafting an Edge this year. Maybe bringing in another vet. Clowney and Wonnum are paid too much to be backups.
-
I wasn't ready for this one. Almost neti potted my coffee with creamer.
-
Nah. He stayed in Carolina longer than any other team this year. Last year. Steelers and Baltimore have great vet presence and coaches. DJ is just... different.

Would You Trade Draft Capital for a #1 WR???

Washington definitely improved their defense via FA. Mostly our guys. They just use them correctly. But they already had weapons and a great RB. They've just been in HC and QB purgatory since RG3. -
I don't think he's risen that much. Maybe early to mid 2nd. He's not an explosive athlete. So combine ain't gonna help him. Hopefully Panthers stop putting so much value on combine.

Anyone left who does not believe in Bryce ?
Navy_football replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ok. You give a lot of weight to arm talent. Then you're never gonna like Bryce. He's never going to have a top arm in the league. Heck he drops further back every year as stronger armed rookies keep getting drafted. I'm OK with the way he plays though. A rifle would definitely help, but not sure it's needed to be successful. Accuracy, anticipation, being able to layer the ball, finding passing lanes are just as important. And there's more than one way to complete that 15 yards out and that 20 yards curl. He's done both. Not consistently in the rocket arm fashion, but that won't ever consistently be his game. So if he and the team around him continue to improve and they win games, would you be more accepting of his lack of arm talent? -

I don't know Fua. That's a weird stat to me. Just my opinion. So what if the QB makes a great throw and the receiver drops it? Does it count? What if the QB just throws it really hard into a crowd and the receiver makes a great catch and bails him out? Does that count? Penix had a lot of big time throws in the last game that looked to me like London making crazy plays on the ball where Penix threw balls he had no business throwing. And our secondary has no ball skills. But that's another discussion. -

Oh you're talking about the big time throws stat. Yeah I agree and I don't really even know what that means. Seams like a subjective stat. -

His first 18 games were pretty bad for the most part. I had all but given up on him after the first 2 this year. But he's been playing good football the last 10. I mean good football. It's not unfair to reference stats but you have to dig deeper than yards and TDs a game. I mean I know you realize that we really don't have weapons here to put up gaudy passing numbers. Isn't that why you keep drumming for Tet? DJ was supposed to be that guy, but he went full Antonio Brown. Here, a poster referenced deeper stats that showed Bryce was actually getting through his progressions at a high tick compared to the rest of the league, which is unusual and impressive for a young QB. But rather than say that's a good thing, we should punch holes in it? We should find the negative and point out that he isn't passing for 300 yards a game - with Adam Thielen as his #1 target? No offense to Thielen but he shouldn’t be anyone's #1 receiver at this stage in his career. Maybe safety blanket. But not #1 guy. I'm just saying. When he's playing bad. It's ok to say he's playing bad. I know I do. But when he's looking good, it's ok to say he looks good, without caveats. Hopefully this is a turning point for him going forward, but he's never going to consistently meet your passing criteria with a receiving group that isn't put together to put up big numbers. Other QBs have receivers that make people miss and break long plays all the time. We've rarely seen that this year at all. I mean I can't even recall a screen pass to a receiver that went over 15 yards all year. I don't know if he will definitely be the franchise QB, but going by his recent play he looks to be the part - to me and alot of impartial experts. -

So is that the QB's fault? Or are you just planning to hate everything Panthers until they win again?
