Too much time. Way too much time

Let's mutha effing goo!!!
-
Mahomes should have thrown that away

Our receivers need to work on their scramble drill. Can't just stand there when your QB is running around for his life. Geez!
-
Need to run some clock too. Heavy dose of running needs to be a part of the strategy.

This is the Ejero I've been waiting on!
-
Oh snap! Ejero! What a call!
-
Devito just got smashed in the chest. He's probably done.

If you wanted Danny Dimes here’s the chance

If true, that's just disrespectful. And intentional. -
I hear you bro, but you really don't know what the kid will turn out to be. None of us do. He is 5 games into his 2nd year. Why not be entertained when he shows some improvement while actually winning games? And yes. He will likely look horrible against the Chiefs and the team will likely lose by alot. This a young team with little talent. But we can still cheer for them. They aren't tanking and no one is giving up - that I can see. Except maybe Diontae, but he's gone now. That says a lot about the leadership.
-
Nah frank. Improvement doesn't mean good. No one on this board thinks Bryce or Dalton are good. I think we should be able to objectively acknowledge that Bryce has shown Improvement the last 3 games, without crapping on him and the team every time someone is positive. And I get it. There are different types of fans and most are bipolar. I've been at parties where fans were literally crapping on Dak and Lamar last season. Not realizing how much worse it could be. The huddle has had its bipolar moments in the past (with Cam and Jake) but this is the worst it's ever been. The defense could shut out the Chiefs and a group here would find a reason to downplay it. Bryce could throw for 200 yards and 3 TDs and it'd get picked apart. But you're right. We should accept each other's point of view and keep it civil and... maybe show a hint of optimism. Sports are supposed to be entertainment and make you happy. Right?

The huddle literally sucks right now. You guys could make a clown sad. Miserable mofos can't even enjoy back to back wins and improvement from the most important player on the team. Just forget it. It's all over. Throw it away. Sell the team to Yemen.

This so much! Need a guy that can make people miss in a phone booth and saucy off the press. Lateral quickness and straight line speed. I don't care how big he is. Diontae Johnson could have been that guy, but apparently he's a bit of a head case. So hopefully the front office at least sees the need too. Deven Thompkins fits the mold. Not sure he's very good though. Hopefully they find a way to get him involved.

Carolina may not "be sold" on young (per athletic)

Just curious. Are you suggesting they should have spent that money on defense instead of offense? Because the only defensive player that walked and was worth bringing back was Luvu. And they tried to get him back. He wanted to leave. Paying Burns $30M a year would have been the worst thing they could have done. Even worse than moving up to draft Bryce. That contract would have been crippling to the cap, and for a mediocre player. And I haven't done the math, but it seems there are just as many new players on defense as there are on offense. Injuries have been the biggest issue with that side of the ball. Improving the worst unit on the team should have always been the priority. Plus a stout o line will attract offensive players like that vet QB everyone wants. Chuba is having a career year. And yes, even Bryce Young is showing some signs of improvement. Change doesn't always happen overnight. But those were the right moves. -
I don't think he was too small. He was about 220 and they played him there alot his rookie year when he was 2nd place DROY. Maybe another 10 pounds would have helped, but not absolutely necessary.
-
I don't think they'll take a 1st round QB. So any drafted player would be a later round project. I think bringing Dalton back for $5M-ish again would be fine. But he was brought in to be a backup on that contract. I don't believe they could convince him to come back at backup salary again. And he just isn't worth $10M+ at this stage in his career. We were already starting to see him break down after starting 3 games.
-
The closer he is to the LOS, the better he becomes. To me, he's a Robber or WLB. Lining him up at FS is beyond dumb.
-
The Panthers really shouldn't be planning to bring back Dalton for a starting salary. It would 100% be a desparation move by the front office. He's only good for 3-5 games at a time. Same with Theilen. He shouldn't factor in the Panthers' plans going forward. If anything, do him a solid and trade him in the off season - if he's still on contract.
-
I like Sanders too. He's absolutely fearless. And I love that. An athletic Jake Delhomme. He needs targets that can play though. I think the Panthers are getting there. Just need that smaller speed guy now. He'll have a Manning type career early on (lots of TDs but lots of INTs), but if they stick with him, he'll be successful after a couple of seasons. If he's available and our BPA, then they should absolutely take him.

I think a healthy Derrick Brown solves alot of problems with this current lineup. Losing him was huge. Remember, he usually plays every defensive snap. BTW, I think they should pull back from that. A guy that big should really be at around 70-75% snaps at most. If they can draft a contributing rookie pass rusher or defensive tackle, and then bring in an above average pass rushing vet, I think this defense takes off - with a healthy D. Brown. Oh and lock up Horn asap. The longer they wait, the more it'll cost. Secondary is good enough - starters and depth. Inside LBs need an upgrade and/or depth injection. They aren't that far off. Injuries have hurt them a ton.
