  1. He’s flashed. He might end up being a bust, but there has been enough malfunction in this organization’s leadership (and QB) that it’s not unreasonable to assume the jury is still out on not just Marshall, but many young players. That being said, Marshall isn’t stopping me from drafting another receiver by any means.
  2. I’ve heard this too. That he likes receivers with size. Could be a breakout year for Marshall then.
  3. Those cuts are something else, and he has a natural feel in space. Good first impression.
  4. Although this hurts to hear, perhaps if he stayed we start off 3-2 instead of 1-4, and the team has more momentum and finishes with a similar record…and Rhule is still around sniffing his own farts. Let’s just thank Reddick and wish him well on Sunday.
  5. What has Shaq done to be hated here? I mean there is a real shitty attitude toward him. If it’s the money he makes, how the fug is that his fault? If it’s because he isn’t legendary like Luke, how the fug is that his fault? He’s been a good leader, supportive of the coaches, and a decent performer. If you’re pissed, aim your poo at who's responsible.
  6. As long as he and Reich had a good relationship, I almost expect it to happen. It would make too much sense.
  7. I’m not sure how I would feel about Carr, but I do know that I hate the term “retread.” It’s just full of negative baggage.
  8. Yeah highlights are a fun start. To see the flashes. But all snap videos need to be the next step. I think you and I both agree on the incredible ceiling he has. I watched a bunch of his snaps after you brought him to my attention.
  9. You do yourself a disservice if you evaluate players off highlight videos.
  10. Yeah man it was just so nice when we had Cam and the QB situation was figured out. I want to get back to that. QB purgatory SUUUUUUCKS. I am a fan of Corral before and after the draft, because I think he’s talented, and he showed me tools that could potentially get us out of QB crisis. He might not amount to anything in the league, but him being on the roster is only a good thing, and adding a rookie is only a good thing too. Having Reich and staff with a veteran QB, and two young talented QB’s (Rookie and Corral) sounds like the perfect situation for our franchise.
  11. I guess what’s irritating to me (but always happens so I should ignore it), is when people poo on players before then even get a chance. Pre and post draft. Most drafts need a few years to see how they pan out. Players develop on different timelines. Most players are out of the league within their rookie contracts anyway. But sometimes people just need some patience. People called Icky a bust after week 1. It’s just bewildering to me.
  12. To be fair, if we assumed every player would fail, we would be right more than we were wrong. Not saying that you are doing that now, but the odds of Corral being a long term starter are low as poo no matter how talented he is. Same will go for the rookie QB we most likely bring in. I just hope we hit on Corral or the rookie. Both would be awesome…then we can trade the other.
  13. You know…it’s okay to say things like “maybe”, “perhaps”, “I don’t know yet”, “I’m not sure”, “we will find out.” The huddle could use a little of that speak. It’s at least honest.
  14. You realize you are also projecting/making assumptions, but in the other direction right?
  15. Meh. There really is no point in continuing the conversation. Have a good one.
  16. So you quoted my post and asked me to back up what someone said in another post? Tell me you didn’t read my post without saying you didn’t read my post.
  17. This isn’t a response at all to my post that you quoted. You are simply moving the goalposts.
  18. You really don’t know as much as you believe you do. Mentioning those players doesn’t prove what you think it proves. (Ty Hill/Greg Hardy were 1st round talents crushed by off field issues, there are numerous counter examples). It’s far more complex/detailed than that. People are complicated. Players/scouts/GM’s/coach’s are people. Players boom/bust all the time regardless of round. Talent and draft position often don’t match because of this. People have millions of variables in their lives that end up impacting how they live and how they perform as professionals. It’s just not as simple as you want it to be.
  19. That’s silly. You are talking about two young men who grew up differently, different families, different friends, different challenges, different physical abilities. People are far more complex than that.
  20. I’ll say this: much of my criticism at this point is that they had ideal situations to play in. Our offensive line is solid and we kept our oline coach. If we add a TE (or develop one), perhaps another back and receiver in the draft… …and our defense has talent. One of these quarterbacks could hit the ground running in an ideal situation. With Reich and this roster, it may be as smooth as it could get for a young QB beginning his career.
  21. Linville put it well. Being on a stacked team just makes it harder to evaluate how much credit goes to the QB. It’s just harder to evaluate. But that’s what needs to be done. I think it’s easier to evaluate QB’s from middling teams in power conferences. You get to see them under ideal situations (like a middling SEC squad against Tulane), but you get to see them against great adversity (playing against Bama, outmatched). Stroud and Young could be elite starters in the NFL, but it’s a lot cloudier because they were in great teams. That’s all I’m saying.
  22. “I’m not so sure about that.” Doesn’t mean ”No quarterbacks from top programs succeed in the NFL.”
