  1. Yeah. I’ll die on the reality hill. You die in the “my opinions only look good when the team looks terrible” hill. Seems like a fun place.
  2. He was playing fine. Today is awful, but why are you making it sound like Wilks said this poo after a performance like today. PJ did admirably. The Bengals are just smoking us today.
  3. Lol dumb. That’s literal GM logic. Huddle logic is the opposite. Huddle also doesn’t even know what logic is.
  4. This thread sucks. Yeah this is all Burns fault. poo take. “I wanted to trade him and now he looks bad so I was right and he never did anything good.” GTFOH with this emotional poo.
  5. A lot of people gloating because we are getting stomped. Interesting.
  6. Damn this thread toxic as fug already. Hell yeah.
  7. Can’t argue this. A lot of his problems when he did have a pocket, was he was expecting not to have one lol.
  8. PJ, at bare minimum, looks way more comfortable and controlled than Baker and Darnold in the pocket. He doesn’t play scared or under pressure. He’s loose. That in itself is a breath of fresh air. I disagree about there being enough tape. There certainly is tape, but it’s not just about a player’s tendencies, but their tendencies within an offense. So he’s still in the “backup sweet spot” if you will IMO. Historically that’s been somewhere around 5 games. So the next 3 weeks should tell a lot. He’s easy to root for, and if he can be a relatively mistake free, average type starter through the end of the year, It eases the QB pressure, and would open up draft options, particularly since we have a young talented QB we drafted last year. They would probably still take Stroud or Young, but PJ balling means they wouldn’t have to reach for one of the other QB’s, and could get a pass rusher if need be. Then maybe look developmental QB round 2 or late round 1. A lot of football still to be played though.
  9. It’s best to just overlook those comments. You gave effort in your post. Respond to those who do the same.
  10. Tips cancel PI because as a defender, you time your contest when the ball gets to the receiver. If the ball is tipped, the defender would end up hitting the receiver early, since tips normally slow the ball down.
  11. Yes, but if it was known that he better projected as a pass rusher, he would have been drafted before the 12th pick. Im just saying his size is similar and Anderson plays with plenty of power because of how his lower body is built.
  12. Although he is edge size (6’4” 240ish), he has a thick and powerful lower body. He can play the run too. He probably ends up 250-260 pounds when it’s all said and done. I think of it like, would I draft Parsons at 3? Hell yes I would.
  13. People often conflate when a player is drafted, to how good they are. That’s where the “he was a 3rd rounder for a reason” comment comes in, but it doesn’t prove or mean anything. If draft position = talent universally, there would be no such thing as a bust, or a steal. All it indicates is a story, or narrative of how good a player is, and the consensus on front office opinion of the player come draft time. That’s how someone like Dak Prescott lasted to the 4th round. This doesn’t mean Corral will do anything, it just means that him being a 3rd round pick doesn’t say anything about his ability.
  14. Talent dictates seeing the field/success. Where you are drafted really only matters for 1st and to a far lesser extent 2nd round picks. Those players last longer if they suck, because you want to give every chance for those players to justify being picked so high. A GM missing on 1st rounders get fired. If Sam Darnold was a 4th rounder, he’s replaced after his first year. If Trevor Lawrence wasn’t a 1st rounder, and he put up last seasons numbers, he would have been replaced too. We literally have two top 3 pick QB’s on our roster right now who suck. They were given a chance because they were former high picks. They will be on rosters next year…because they were once highly regarded top picks.
  15. You fit the description of a person who I don’t mind disliking him. You have thought out variables, of which you listed. I’m talking about the people who use “preseason” as their foundational argument against him, and don’t have much else if anything to add. It’s akin to those calling Ikey a bust after week 1.
  16. It’s not people disliking Corral that’s the problem. It’s people disliking Corral because of preseason that’s the problem. I just can’t take that seriously. It’s so shallow and absurd. Less than 1 game at the bottom of the chart with a lame duck coach.
  17. His pictures were dope. His takes don’t stand out. They just aren’t detailed. Very “internet clicky” short and vague stuff.
  18. So to be contrarian, Corral is better than all these scrubs.
  19. Yup. What’s over the horizon is ALWAYS better than what’s in front of our faces.
  20. I get what you guys are saying, but damn there are some sad dudes in here. I wonder if you enjoyed any of the Cam/Luke era. Most franchises would do anything to have what we had in 2015. I don’t give a fug about the last game anymore. That poo was an unbelievable treat and it won’t be ruined by 1 day. I’ll never forget going to that NFC championship game. An actual Super Bowl win would be tough to beat the feeling in that stadium that day.
