  1. I hope you’re joking. Only position group that needs to be addressed is linebacker and overall team depth. We have a ton of young talented players. We NEED a quarterback to fulfill our true potential. Heck based on our draft position we will be in line for early 2nd round pick, we could get the 1st or 2nd best off ball linebacker there for sure. Panthers will be 4 years into rebuild QB is the ONLY call in a draft year where QB is supposed to be a strength
  2. I think Brady had more creativity in the route tree and spacing for our key players. The problem last year was Brady called the same plays over and over. That became predictable. Hopefully Macadoo has more rabbits in his magic hat.
  3. Hard to judge based on Rhules contractual control. Fitterer really hasn’t had the opportunity to build a roster yet. He has had to collaborate and compromise based on what Rhule wants. That isn’t typically the case in most front offices. Final say typically goes to the GM. Rumored Fittz has had more say this year, but it’s way to early to judge the draft class and free agent signings. I think he has earned the right. Most analyst and fans alike loved his draft this past year.
  4. Based on what I have seen this list is spot on. Chinn and Burns scores are a tad low. Luvu’s score is high in my opinion. Frankie Luvu had a better game in terms of tackles, but he dropped an easy interception. Hoskins flashed last year before going on the IR but he suuuuuucks this year.
  5. what sucks is that we are one game in and it already feels like LAST season ANOTHER lost season. I always thought the “I fixed it for you” line was cute but corny. Had to do it.
  6. Lol kind of like R. Rivera with Siona Fua oh the misery
  7. Honestly I’m okay with that based on who we have in the secondary.
  8. I agree lol. Nixon isn’t game changing or game altering talent. I just feel this signing has the potential to help make the Browns one dimensional. My emphasis on Cleveland was because we have to take it one game at a time after winning 5 games each of the last two seasons. We should want Brissett trying to throw it 30 or more times against our strength, which is our secondary. No way I want Chubb and his backups running down our throat in BOA.
  9. Hard point to argue there. I think this move is more about taking Cleveland’s rushing attack away. Roy is a better run stopper than Nixon.
  10. Thanks that’s what I was curious about. Now we at least know there is a clear plan. Cleveland for the last 3 years has been top 3 in rushing. This is a step to ensure Cleveland doesn’t run all over us. I’m not sure why some of the other Huddlers are surprised based on how Rhule can be quick to the trigger. Nixon wasn’t going to turn into an All-Pro. He fell out of favor in college, so why gamble on a low floor decent ceiling defensive lineman now. We also need to be honest Nixon didn’t flash this year and Hoskins and McCall are both stout against the run. I like the signing, if it works on Sunday. We don’t need any 150 yard rushing days from the Browns. We definitely don’t need Chubb gashing us and taking our defenses confidence away. At least our coaches know their potential flaws.
  11. The quarterbacks that have had the most success in Carolina have all had moxie and swag. Delhomme, Cam and hopefully Baker. It’s an Alpha sport that generates billions of dollars. You need an Alpha go get ‘‘em attitude. Based on Cynthia’s transcript and backpedaling I don’t see anything that Baker did wrong here.
  12. If we’re smart we will run the ball at a high clip to protect Ickey and Baker and plan for quick throws early in the game. Then take some shots as the defensive line gets a little winded.
  13. Yep I swear Rhule fixates at all the wrong analytics.
  14. Best comment in this thread. He needs to coach his way out of the hole he created without any further damage. That’s if he can, which isn’t likely. He would need to hire new offensive and defensive cords. I know the defensive coordinator idea isn’t as popular but I thunk we can do better.
  15. I think that’s most peoples thought process. Donte keeps playing at his current level with his tackles for loss, speed combined with his age he will probably be the top free agent CB . If that happens I rather take Gilmore for around a 3 year.
  16. Maaaan whatever Sam sucks. We had threads complaining about PJ and how he couldn’t get it done. PJ played well and Sam is a dud. A rich dud but a dud.
  17. Facts! I just hope he can get up to speed with the offense for WFT.
  18. CMC opens up the offense and hides our deficiencies on the offensive line. Our lineman were getting beat like a drum in the first three games but the quick outlet passes prevented the sacks. We seemed to have finally have found a complimentary 2nd option out of the backfield with Abdullah also. We will stick with the run and use quick passes in this game with an occasional downfield shot. Defensively I hope we begin to see that top 5 unit shining through with Gilmore locking down one side.
  19. Quarterbacks know they need time to go through their progressions. I don’t think it’s the market. Players love Charlotte. As a quarterback you want a fair chance at success and our line doesn’t provide that.
  20. He is even improving his kickoff depth.
  21. We talk about our luck lately but I’m glad we picked up DJ over Calvin mainly due to his availability. I pray Ridley is okay but to miss two games due to a personal matter seems extreme. I hope all is okay with his family.
  22. Quarterback play is Rhule’s to own. He released Cam for a lesser quarterback. He was unhappy with Teddy’s play as we all were ( unable to throw deep ball but accurate) and traded away draft capital for a lesser quarterback. I get it Darnold has a higher ceiling than Teddy but he also has a lower floor. Last 4 weeks we have gotten the floor and the head ball coach needs to own that.
  23. Call me a bit of a pessimist on this but I don’t think a former defensive player of the year (2 years removed) would be willing to make a position change in the final year of a contract he was already unhappy with. Absolutely love the idea for the team. Sounds great but……. He’d personally be crazy to do it as a player especially when the open market would pay him so much more at corner.
  24. Exactly. Claim to be a staff that takes an analytical approach yet we abandon analytics in the draft and take the shiny flashy pick that has the least impact on each snap.
