  1. Maybe the real Baker Mayfield was the online arguments we had along the way.
  2. If absolutely nothing else....that first game vs. the Browns would be instant "must-see tv." Like how does that not get bumped to Prime Time? I'm really conflicted on this. A lot depends on what we would give up for him, what happens with Sam (see ya) and how my dude Corral progresses. I'm not ready to riot....because I think that Baker would instantly give us the 2nd best QB in the NFC South. And this is behind a completely revamped O-line, with a healthy CMC. The only way I get pissed at this is if we give up anything higher than a 4th for him.
  3. Best case scenario for us is that Corral comes out and lights it up during TC and preseason. Erase all doubts. I'm preparing myself for the absolute worst case scenario though, because that's the Panthers Way.
  4. just don't give up any better than a 4th round pick. I don't care about the cap space. FFS if we hadn't drafted Corral I would be on board with Baker. Now my dude is 3rd on the depth chart and never gets a chance to shine this season. Package Robby Anderson in the deal too. If you can somehow trade Darnold away (highly unlikely) you obviously do it.
  5. yeah the Corral one is personal hahaha. He's my dude. Like I still feel like this is a fever dream and we are still a week before the draft, I can't believe he's a Panther and we snagged him in the 3rd. I haven't gone balls deep and bought a jersey, but its coming...
  6. There are lots of "ifs" still, but I do like his style. If Icky and Corral hits, all doubts are evaporated
  7. Sorry I'm late to the poo slinging fest, but here's why I voted "yes" (besides the fact that I'm already stoned) I like Scott Fitterer and his last two drafts. I like the wholesale assistant coach changes we made this year. If Icky and Golden Corral "hit," then we just got our LT and QB for the next decade. I like that Matt Rhule's leash was severely shortened. Should we have already fired him? Probably. But screw it lets give him one last shot before we pull the plug. Tepper as a person is what rubs people wrong. He talks when he's not needed and when he's needed, he's no where to be found. He effed up royal with the Rhule hire....but who here doesn't have an ex that they just about immediately regretted asking out hahahaha. Bring back the grass field. Stop effing with "Keep Pounding" and whatever few traditions we actually have. Figure out the practice facility stuff. Most importantly JUST WIN, BABY. wins cure everything. and more of ya'll should chill out and take a puff. It's the freakin offseason and watching Panthers fans fight each other is about as cringe as watching Star Wars fans fight each other. (yeah I went there)
  8. I REALLY wish Baker would go to the Seahawks just so we can finally put all of this behind us. And the 49ers would be fools to let Jimmy G go, especially given what people are saying about how Trey Lance has progressed. This clickbait Baker bs needs to end.
  9. that Ole Miss to Carolina pipeline will guarantee I will always be a fanboy
  10. So they're basically saying to go Legacy mode, ball with Golden Corral and go from the cellar to the Penthouse. Challenge accepted. I'm buying it because they were actually decent and smart enough to put Madden on the cover.
  11. If the Panthers draft leaves you unsatisfied, this record comes equipped with BIG JIM SLADE!!!
  12. If the Matt Corral of real life can somehow match the Matt Corral of my imagination, we're in for multiple Superb Owls, my friends.
  13. Yeah I've come to accept the fact that the Lane Train will eventually be leaving Ole Miss....but damn it's a fun ride while it's here. He's Steve Spurrier with a social media presence. I don't care if he leaves us high and dry and under investigation (again), it's been a damn fun ride while the Visor has been here.
  14. Yeah of course the missing context is the fact that all of Ole Miss' best wide receivers were hurt by the end of the year. He was throwing to 2nd and 3rd stringers. And really all I remember are Matt Corral tossing bombs. Like this one play might be one of my Rebel favorites of all time (because Kiffen is a Ric Flair level heel) Lane tossin' clipboards
  15. we lose the first two with Sam under center. the heat turns up.... Sam mysteriously gets "hurt" Corral steps in, a la Delhomme, injects fire into this offense and we turn it around. we never look back. next year the stands are filled with 9s
  16. any clue when they will be available to purchase? Last time I wanted a jersey my cheap ass (soon to be ex) wife got me a knock off Kuechly jersey (probably from Wish). The colors were all wrong (that's a tricky shade of blue to match....assuming they did that on purpose). I always felt like a tool for wearing it because when you're standing next to someone wearing an authentic jersey you look dumb. My Matt Corral jersey will be the real freakin deal, I don't care how much it costs. Ya'll need to get in on the ground floor before the whole stadium is filled with 9s.
  17. As one of the OG Corral Homers on here, and still coming off of the high of last weekend, here's my bold prediction: Corral is starting by week 1. Why? It's his swagger and mojo. It's going to infect this team. And then you'll see the improvements in his footwork and that arm in training camp is gonna have yall screaming "holy poo." Darnold will be one of the best backups in the league this year. And next year he will be someone else's backup. I'm living and dying on the Matt Corral train. As long as he doesn't get hurt, he's going to electrify for a long long time.
  18. Dude if I get Corral AND snoop conner then I will be sooooooooooo happy (Hey it worked last time)
  19. I say we go LB and get someone that can be a special teams headhunter too
  20. First off anyone going to Ole Miss has alcohol issues. Every night there's a different drink special at the bars and you're in the middle of nowhere, Mississippi. Drinking and screwing is all we got 2nd....Corral has grown and matured so much over the last two years, you can tell by how his teammates treat him and how much he's willing to punish his body to help get a W (he basically was a one man show vs TN last year.) He's coachable, which you can see with how much his interception totals decreased over the last two years. And lastly tell me someone who hasn't been depressed over the last few years!!! A pandemic, flirting with WWIII, the world feels like it's falling apart sometimes. To admit he's depressed just means that Corral is human. These young kids don't hold back on their emotions like us older folks were taught. And that, friends is progress thank you for coming to my TED talk
  21. We got the two dudes I wanted the most without giving up too much to get them. Anything else done at this point is icing on the cake. I now have full faith and confidence in Fitterer as GM, Laser Eyes will lead us to the promised land.
