Is Hill wearing lineman shoes? They look like clunky walmart cleats. Can someone get the man some of those lightweight stream lined shoes, please? -

I Agree with you. We saw this with LBs last year. I think Philly is safe, though. He was our #4 wr. He has to be beaten out by at least two guys, maybe three for him to be sent packing. While its certainly possible, none of those guys have the experience or production that he has. -

Hi, my name is Imminent Rogaine and I am a footballaholic; I watched a replay of week ten redzone on NFLN this weekend and have successfully completed 3 fantasy football mockdrafts as of may 25th. -

That sounds vaguely familiar but I can only picture his 86 yard touchdown against the Cardinals in the NFC championship. -

Man you guys are throwing around "possession receiver" like some sort of slur. That's what smitty was for the second half of his career. That's what Brandon Marshall has always been; fitz, boldin, dez, too. Garrett's movement reminds me a little of Marshall and Owens (a little slower than T.O). There have been plenty HOF WRs that run 4.5 or worse so lack of blazing speed isn't so worrisome, to me. If he can polish off his routes, he becomes and upgrade over Philly as WR#4 - similar speed, ability to get open on and catch the deep ball despite mediocre speed, taller, bigger. If that is the case, then the question becomes do you want Philly, Byrd or Hill as WR#5? I personally keep Philly or Byrd. Byrd if you want speed. Philly if you want continuity on offense, route running, and very high floor. Byrd is a question mark. Hill has a high ceiling but and equally low floor. Oddly, though, in the scenario I just described, where KG upgrades over Philly, its possible that could take Philly completely out of the equation and actually make room for Byrd or Hill because of their speed. I'm all for whichever WRs can prove they can play. I think Hill has been proving the exact opposite. I know you can't teach size and speed; but what you can teach and improve upon is catching the ball and running routes.... in the league long enough to be considered a veteran and we haven't seen Hill do either. -
Sit tight at 30. See who is there and who is left. Move up to early 2nd and grab another top panther-ranked player. I could see us going DE and Hunter Henry. Then target secondary and DT with whatever picks we have left. I think this strategy aligns BPA with our needs and the values of the players in the draft. We know G-man has an eye for linemen. I think he gets off on knowing he can find value in the later rounds and with UDFAs.

Is Kony Ealy the next great Panthers defensive end?

Ron hoping he doesn't have to do his best Warden impression: "What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week; which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men..." -

I remember Jenkins was listed at like 350-360 but said his playing weight was closer to 400. KB13 is listed at like 240, of course most of that is body fat. -
Peyton is smart enough to pick us apart if we don't get pressure. He will also readily take sacks if we are closing in on him. Get pressure. win game. I really think Big Money shows up for one last hoorah. Also, I predict that they have to scrape one of their rbs off of the turf after they are obliterated by a jacked up #58.

Top 3 Reasons The Panthers Lost Today

Agree on DE play and maybe play design. Almost every play has CJ and Allen shooting up the outside. This might be a good call against a speedier QB but at some point you just have to let them do whatever they can to get to the QB. If they can't do it, give more snaps to Ealy, Addison, and Delaire. -
Giants Rookie Left Tackle Will Start Despite Ankle Injury
imminent rogaine replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea, Allen isn't really getting there but he is still serving a purpose. Pushing the tackle back keeps the QB from stepping his way. Most of our DT sacks are because the ends have forced the QB to step up and not move laterally or escape. I do think we really need to get CJ going though. He will be critical to a playoff run. -

The formula is beginning to become clear. Set the edge with Allen, send the RE deep around the tackle forcing the QB to step up into Shorts arms. I hope I see Eli crumple into a little ball, waiting for the whistle to blow like he did last time we played. I've never seen someone willingly take so many sacks. -
