    Mr. Negativity strikes again!

What are we supposed to let our young franchise player leave?

Melo is the best pick this franchise has made since Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson. Can we at least keep our good picks or do we let him walk like Mourning/Johnson?

He’s trolling.. No need to question dumb opinions..

  2. This could have happened to us.. If you drafted Scoot .. Lamelo would have the same thought process.. You’re bringing in a PG when you already have a PG.. So taking away from both players being at their best..

    Exactly!

We as fans fall in love with the athletic rim attacking guards. I get it they are fun to watch, but every single one of them have never won a championship. They simply sell tickets and play exciting style basketball. At the end of the day can you shoot the basketball and make shots in late game situations when teams pack the paint to stop you from driving. It all comes down to is shot making.

Yes and the reality ppl don’t talk about is once the athleticism goes.. That player becomes a bad contract or a backup journey man.. If they don’t add the other stuff to their game..

It’s like @WOW!!said. Scoot’s marketing team has him hyped up for years now. He actually didn’t progress as much this year as people projected but no one seems to care. He is a highlight reel which is what most of his fans see, but a 3 and D 6’9” shooter who has handles is a much more rare thing to come by. We already have a taller Scoot in Melo.

Yes .. I like Scoot as a prospect but the analysis of his talents have gone overboard and possibly could set this kid up for failure.. Just based on living up to unrealistic expectations..

So Scoot has the "it factor" because he's athletic and can dunk on 6'9 defenders?

No disrespect, but if that's your reason for having the "it factor" then half the NBA has those players.

Scoot needs to develop a jumpshot. All that dunking is cool, but to win games you need to be able to shoot the basketball. Miller is arguably the best shooter in this draft. When you need a bucket Miller will always be a threat because of his shot making ability.

Scoot is the more exciting player, but Miller to me is the better overall player at 6'9 with guard skills and 3pt shot making ability. I think he will end up being a better player when all is said and done.

Harold Miner should have been the best SG ever by that definition…

Who starts beside Melo at SG if we trade Rozier? Maybe the vet we trade for?

Hayward might also be traded now that we have Miller to start at SF. If not he could be a nice 6th man playing out his last year of that dumb contract.

    Cody or Miller

melo was scared scoot would come in and take his job. they are all losers.

I guess being a leader and playing for 3 years needing this type of player for years means nothing.. Lol

And Scoot putting up 23ppg 8ast and 6rbs a game would be scary if he had ever done it..

The fans booed because they wanted Scoot because he has been hyped up for several years now. I remember fans getting upset about Melo as well. Fans didn’t like the Panthers drafting Luke. Fans aren’t always the best indicator. I get they are going to be skeptical of this franchise’s moves and it’s understandable. Again Miller was ranked 2 or 3 in most boards. It wasn’t some random move by this team.

This.. Scoot has 1 of the best Marketing teams in the game and they’ve been on hyper drive for 2 years.. Even trying to get him over Wemby..

Bro, you need to learn to read. I defended Mark Williams relentlessly last year

Like I said you’re barely here and only come draft time to troll..

Yeah you liked the Williams pick while complaining about trading Duren..

At this point your annual emergence is a box of chocolates..

The Hornets are major offenders (pun intended) of the NBA's biggest problem: the players run the league and set the rules.

Haven't been this uninterested in what they do since I was like 4. Between no defense, players running the league, a star player going on a serial killing spree could make him sit for as many as 14 games, shooting 70 3s a game and the Charlotte Hornets reimagining themselves as the Trade Street Bloods, there's not much to keep me invested.

Funny how The NFL has more criminals playing but you steady loving that moral authority guy..

Hopefully they get the trade for Nnaji finalized before summer league, I’d like to see him get to play.

I’m glad they drafted a PG to play with the guys on the Summer League team finally.. Last year was brutal watching guys not being able to get Mark the ball..
