One day Ian Thomas is gonna break a big one from that and get a whole 6 yards
-
Bryce's best plays have been with his legs
-
Carr is 12/18 for 37 yards Even with how bad bryce is, this statline feels worse
-
3/15 for 29 yards and two turnovers we are in hell
-
Wide open. Horrific throw.
-
This is perhaps the worst game of professional football I've ever seen
-
Chark is terrible. Holy poo. That's not on Bryce.

Delhomme was good the first half of the year. The second half of the year, you could start to see some cracks - the four-pick Raiders game, for example - but he was still good enough to win, and often win by a lot, because we had the best running game in team history + a great, great defense and the last great WR duo we've had (Smith and Moose). If he wasn't hurt, and was playing at 2007 levels, we maybe win a Super Bowl with the 2008 roster. But by the playoff game his arm was just shot. I really think the 2008 team was the second-best we've ever had (behind 2015), though. -
Give Hubbard the damn ball
-
If anything he's better under center than in the shotgun
-
That was a good run
-
This is soul-crushing.
-
That's entirely fair. Pass protection has been lacking, too. I'm just worried some of these might be hospital balls.
-
Can't blame Bryce for the drops, but I'm not honestly impressed that much by the throws, either.
-
Good scramble. More of that.
-
Derrick Brown was a Hurney first round pick, nobody should be surprised he's the best player on defense by a mile.
-
Good throw, but good defense
-
This is going to be one of the games of all time

It was a Cam situation. He looked really solid the first half of the season, then the second half, starting in the Oakland game, just kind of started to fall apart. The run game and defense were strong enough to make up for it for a while but the playoff game was when everyone knew something was seriously wrong. It's really a shame because Delhomme looked amazing in the first few games of 2007. 8 TDs, 1 pick before he got injured. If he's healthy, that 2008 team could have made a legit Super Bowl run. -
I was pooed to hell and back when I said trading DJ Moore was a terrible idea we wouldn’t be able to compensate for in the draft/FA.

Weekly meetings with the owner are not, in fact, a thing in the NFL.

We made the playoffs in 4 of the last 5 seasons under Rivera before Tepper came in. In that span, we were also well above .500.

Let's be real here. We've had exactly three somewhat-successful coaches in team history - Dom Capers, John Fox, and Ron Rivera. All of them were defensive coaches. Our three attempts at offensive coaches (George Seifert, Matt Rhule, and Frank Reich) didn't pan out. As-is, the strength of this team is definitely defense, and it has been for a while now. I think the right coach could make this unit something special. It's certainly easier to repair than the offense. In the short-term, this team could easily be reworked to have a top-tier defense - and at that point, your offensive needs become a lot more clear. Plus, giving Bryce - or whatever quarterback we have in 2025 - a top-tier defense takes a ton of weight off a young quarterback. It's no surprise Cam Newton's third year - the year with the best defense of the recent Panthers era - was a playoff year. Anyway, agree or disagree, I hope the coach is good, but I'd love to not see another desperate attempt to revolutionize the offense.

Frankly I'm not sure this team can recover unless Tepper leaves or we get a sufficiently strong leader to push back against him. Clearly the team wasn't perfect under Richardson, but outside of his sleaziness it wasn't this organizationally inept and outright hostile to literally everyone
