I want Stroud because I think he's a better passer and has the size to be a franchise QB for a decade. I've seen Young play several times and love his game, but at the college level. I have my doubts that with his slight frame that he will stay healthy. Having said that, I want whoever the staff finally decides on and am not going to be disappointed in whoever gets called. I'm just excited we put ourselves in a position to get one of these two.

Like the SEC isn't chock full of seek-and-destroy missiles...
I know better.
As a season ticket holder at Mississippi State, I get to see Alabama every year as well as LSU, and Georgia two of the last 3 years. As good as they are, it is nothing like the NFL. Thats the reason The Golden Calf of Bristol was all SEC and All American, yet was an NFL washout. Two entirely different animals

In all honesty, if Bryce was 3 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier, no one would be having as much of a debate. But he isn't. And most forget the one thing that has elevated his play substantially is having a former NFL OC and HC as his coordinator. He should look polished on film and does. But none of that changes the fact he doesn't have the size to stay healthy in a league of seek and destroy missiles. You cam hope and wish all you want, but it isn't going to change his measurables.

Size, Accuracy, Leadership, Attitude and a proven winner. They have met with him for a long time both last night and before the combine. He is our franchise QB

Want to really go off the rails? Select Will Anderson #1. He is the best player in the draft and then come back for Hooker. Now that would be a real shocker

I've seen a couple of analysts say the relatively low compensation The Cowboys had to give up for Cooks was going to make it harder for the Cardinals to get a great package in return for Hopkins.
The problem with Hopkins isn't what we trade, since we've shown under Fitt that we will trade for anyone. The problem is working his salary into our budget.

No one knows at this point, and all anyone is doing is guessing. Mel Kiper just put out his latest edition draft today with us selecting Stroud. We will know in a few weeks

Well why not wait til her General Draft 3.0 since 1.0 had us taking a CB that didn't test well at the combine. Sorry, but if we moved up to 1 to take a tiny college qb who won't be in the league more than 5 or so years due to injuries, we deserve to fail. My only hope is we want Houston to make a trade. Stroud is the only QB in this draft you make a move for. Not Baker Mayfield 2.0.

It had to be done or we were going to continually be a 5 to 7 win team going nowhere. DJ is a good, not great WR. On most teams he's a #2 but had to be #1 because we are one of the bottom in the league wr units.
-
Unless they find a good deal, I think we are going to use the draft for WR. 2nd and 3rd WR pics. And with the garbage WR FA market and everyone wanting too much in trades for good not great players, I'm fine with that

Wilson and Brees were short but both were stocky and well built. Bryce is short and small. Alabama has a world class weight training facility. If they had years with him and he is still 180 to 185, that's who he is. He is too small for a long career in the NFL and that gamble would kill Carolina for years. We are going to take stroud.

Sign a FA and draft one at 39. Could get another in the 3rd. I want them to build an offense and not give up the farm for other teams cast offs. We will have plenty of cap space to go get a #1 next year. I'm all for being patient

If Panthers are interested in Theilen at age 32, they surely would be interested in Hopkins at 31. I don't expect Hopkins or Theilen to save the day but their exp and production is invaluable to a rookie QB at this time.
The difference is salary. One is not going to ask to be paid 20 mil

Red meat for the Chicago fans. Get over yourself. You were a good WR but not a true #1 that takes over a game. Wish you were still here, but its a business.

I was immediately sold on Stroud, but the more research I do, the more I keep wondering about Young. Aside from his size, he checks all the boxes---I know Stroud can check boxes too....I think it will become more clear--but I tried to keep an open mind and not lock in on one decision in early March--and the more I research Young, the more I think, after his pro day, people will start favoring him, Most of the "experts" on NFL network, including a former GM Marc Ross who is firm about it...SO CONFUSED--either might be OK, but if one fails and one succeeds, it will haunt us forever....Unless we take Levis. Then we need the suicide hotline.
I want nothing to do with Young. If you want to see endless balls being batted down like Mayfield, he's your man. Let Houston have him. I want CJ. He's just too small

I'm not happy with this at all. He needs to be cut and we draft a TE. Are we going to keep 4 TE if we draft one? Not a fan of this move
-
The WR FA market wasn't great and now we are down to scraps. I've loved the overall plan so far, but WR is a concern at this point. Chalk? Thiesen? A trade?
-
I'd rather have Foreman than Hubbard.

I was actually joking.
There is 0% chance he falls to the 2nd round. Some contender in the late 1st would take him in a heartbeat.
What does his film say?
It says He's a Cowboy.

2 WR, another RB, a LB and DE and we have set ourselves up for a draft for QB, TE, RB and WR. This bunch had a plan and so far with the cap restraints have made us a better team. We are in a good position to go into next year

Well if so, he wanted more than we offered. He had an offer and must think he can do better. We signed a 3 down back and upgraded

Always wondered why his visit was pre-announced yesterday. Felt like a leverage move against a contender and who is more WR needy than us right now?
Best of luck wherever you end up Thielen.
Would be perfect in KC and a much better chance to get a ring in the next couple of years.

Give me Turner or Verse at #39

I'd really like LB Drew Sanders of Arkansas if he's there. Has the ability to add weight and get to 6'5" 245. Very athletic and would bookend Burns.
