I was actually joking.
There is 0% chance he falls to the 2nd round. Some contender in the late 1st would take him in a heartbeat.
What does his film say?
It says He's a Cowboy.

Chinn is going to be a weapon in this defense. I don't get folks wanting to trade him.

1st QB
2nd WR
3rd TE
4th RB
5th WR
-
2 WR, another RB, a LB and DE and we have set ourselves up for a draft for QB, TE, RB and WR. This bunch had a plan and so far with the cap restraints have made us a better team. We are in a good position to go into next year

Well if so, he wanted more than we offered. He had an offer and must think he can do better. We signed a 3 down back and upgraded

Always wondered why his visit was pre-announced yesterday. Felt like a leverage move against a contender and who is more WR needy than us right now?
Best of luck wherever you end up Thielen.
Would be perfect in KC and a much better chance to get a ring in the next couple of years.

If you don't have an Elite QB, you go nowhere. We had CMC, DJ, etc and we're still drafting top 10. Hated to give up DJ, but we were going nowhere without an Alpha at QB.

Yes, they know. But if they can convince Houston to make a trade to get their #33, then this "uncertainty" has worked.

We are not rebuilding lol
We have a legit defense and our Oline is locked up for the foreseeable future. We are about to draft a rookie QB #1 overall. We are a #1 WR away from winning this division. It's why I keep bringing up Nuk.
I don't think people realize just how much talent this team has. We got all the major positions taken care of pass rushing DE, lockdown DB, solid Oline, young franchise QB.
WR is basically the only weakness we have right now. We are not rebuilding people!
Right now, we have a bottom 5 WR core, a bottom 5 RB core, a TE group in the bottom half and an unsettled QB situation. We are in a rebuild
-
I like this signing. He easily becomes the best TE on the roster and was affordable. Some of yall act like we still have 50 million dollars in cap space. We don't and still need to add a RB and WR at the very least. We are rebuilding, not reloading.

Talking poo about either won't affect anything. The decision nor the outcome
I consider it being passionate about the team. None of our arguments are going to change the selection, but after watching losing football for years, fans are now passionate about the selection. I favor Stround and admit, if we draft Young, I'll show my displeasure.

It's rather pathetic that this has devolved in to tearing one guy down to make the other look better. It was like 1 week ago when everyone said they'd be happy with either.
Human nature
That's true, but it's because the stakes are huge. Make the wrong selection and we have hamstrung ourselves for 3 to 5 years.

I don't really get the "wide open receivers" thing. Every time I watch Stroud tape he's hitting guys in tight windows consistently, leading guys with the ball. Haven't seen many hospital balls, just really good rhythm
The ball placement is what sets him apart and he is elite with it. Guys are catching it in stride not waiting for it or having to adjust.

What did OBJ do to you?
Besides being a psychotic coach killing cancer, nothing. Hard pass

You guys are so damn dramatic.
Dude is being signed to be a vet backup for the rookie. This is good news. He's incredibly smart and understands the game well. He'll be our Rookie's Derek Anderson.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this.
Not dramatic, just can't think past the present day. Dalton is a great pick up. Smart, great work ethic, excellent team guy. He is perfect to help teach our Rookie the right way. And he is cheap. Great signing

Quiet today. I was expecting a couple of signings at least

So where are we at numbers wise after the signings today? I wouldn't mind getting Hurst at TE. We simply don't have the cap space for one of the top 2. Would also take a shot at Theilan as well.

Here's a highlight reel of CJ Stroud from the Rose Bowl where he threw for 570 yards and 6 TD's against Utah's God-awful secondary. I share this because you can see that his ball placement is extradordinary!
There is no way you watch the throws and ball placement and think we should draft Young. Hope he has a good career, in Houston

I dont want any more trades for players right now. We need our draft pics and only want to use our pics to move up or down for other pics. If we need guys use free agency, but don't hamstring the future. If we need to take a couple of years to rebuild, do it but stop mortgaging the future

I don’t care for pitch & catch against air.
processing defenses is what’s important for top 5 QBs.
to me QB throw at the combine is similar to WR run the 40. Being fast is needed but can u run routes, can u consistently beat ur defender & catch the ball?
combine is 1 of the tool teams use to evaluate but good teams understand it’s just a small part of the evaluation.
You can't teach accuracy. He has enough game film to add to his evaluation. No other qb in this draft does what he does at a true NFL size
-
I dont care that much about the combine athletic numbers. I dont care about the 40, the long jump, verticle, etc. What I do care about is watching a qb throw to completely unknown wr at various areas on the field and distance. Watch the show CJ put on and tell me you don't see elite arm talent. His passes were pretty ontarget and simply effortless. That was an elite show and shortly after that, we traded up to number 1 without seeing Young throw at all. That's all I need to know.

We now clearly have definite needs for offensive skill positions as our priority and I think somewhere around 35 million to work with. Who do you prioritize?
Bozeman
Foreman
Hardman
Schultz
Joe Person: D'onta Foreman will not return as a Panther...unless he does
in Carolina Panthers

I'd rather have Foreman than Hubbard.
