Bears Signing WR Eddie Royal Chargers have been informed that WR Eddie Royal is signing with the Bears. Royal is familiar with Bears QB Jay Cutler and some of their coaching staff. Royal, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos. He signed a three-year contract with the Chargers back in March of 2012. Last year, he appeared in all 16 games and caught 62 passes for 778 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 43 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

In 2014, Smith appeared in 11 games for the Dolphins and was rated as the No. 54 guard out of 78 qualifying players by Pro Football Focus.

Buccaneers are preparing to release S Dashon Goldson following the addition of S Chris Conte. Goldson, 30, signed a five-year, $41.25 million contract that included $22 million guaranteed with the Bucs back in March of last year. He would have made base salaries of $5.5 million and $5.85 million over the final two years of the agreement. According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Johnson would free up $6,025,000 in available cap space while creating no dead money. In 2014, Johnson appeared in 13 games and caught 35 passes for 435 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the 49ers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 receiver out of 110 qualifying players, which is pretty good considering that he only played 305 snaps.

Dolphins Officially Sign Ndamukong Suh The Miami Dolphins announced the signing of DT Ndamukong Suh to a six-year contract on Wednesday. Agreement with the Dolphins. Suh receives a six-year contract worth $114 million that includes $59.955 million guaranteed. He’ll also receive a $25.5 million signing bonus. Conte, and possibly former teammate S Major Wright, is reuniting with former Head Coach Lovie Smith. Conte, 26, is a former third round pick of the Bears back in 2011, so Lovie Smith is obviously very familiar with him as a player. Seahawks GM John Schneider says the Seahawks have spoken with the agents of QB Russell Wilson and LB Bobby Wagner, but both are aware that the team has other things to attend to right now.

Britt put together a solid first year with the Rams and has said previously that he would like to be back with the team for the 2015 season. Britt, 26, wound up signing a one-year, $1,400,000 contract with the Rams that included just $550,000 guaranteed after a disappointing end to his time with the Titans. He’s one of the best remaining options at receiver, so it will be interesting to see who else is considering him. In 2014, Britt appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and caught 48 passes for 748 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 36 receiver out of 110 qualifying players this past season.

Browns the Rams “never felt Cleveland was serious” about trading for QB Sam Bradford. there were a few calls back and forth, but they never led to a serious push because the Browns weren’t overly aggressive. Browns discussed Rams backup quarterback Austin Davis in their conversations. Chargers Finished second to the Colts for WR Andre Johnson and they even had a flight to San Diego scheduled. Chargers offered Johnson a higher salary than the Colts did. Chargers GM Tom Telesco said the “door is still open” to re-sign WR Eddie Royal, and that nothing is yet official with him and the Bears. Cowboys Cowboys offered RB DeMarco Murray a contract that would pay around $5 million per year. Patriots Patriots took themselves out of the running for CB Darrelle Revis upon hearing he was seeking $16 million per year and $40 million guaranteed.

Although, it sounds like he’ll consider the Vikings. “He almost went (to Minnesota) last year.’’ Bengals will be in the mix for Johnson as well.
