This or id even think about trading for a 2nd next year because we don’t have one but I’m only doing so if the team we trade with has a top 10 pick (2nd round) in this years draft so we don’t fall that far down the board
This would actually make sense. Trading down only to get like a 4th rounder I would hang up the phone

Looks like a Scott Fitterer draft

I think they need to, but Canales has already said Corbett (I think he said it) and Mays. If you step back and look at the big picture, is the upgrade from Corbett to a rookie center worth it, if it is at all? I literally do not know what Corbett would be like at C--does Canales?
Here is what I have noticed:
Canales mentioned keeping his third/emergency QB on the PS--
He praised Sullivan, Tremble, and Thomas at TE--when you do that across the board, it may be that we are adding a TE. You do not want to let existing players know that you are before the draft, because if it does not work out, you have let them know you wanted to upgrade them. I think we add a TE.
Looking at the roster and knowing the strengths of the draft, you KNOW we are drafting a WR, CB, and LB.
LOGIC: Do u spend $150m at G and let someone who has never played C take that job? Only if you know that Corbett and Mays are capable of doing the job and protecting the QB.
From our perspective? You draft a C early.
I just do not get the idea that we will.
But how do we know? It’s not like they have practiced under Canales

If JPJ falls to 33, he should be the pick to solidify the OL. Grab a WR at 39 and our offense should have a decent foundation.

We were 3-0 in 2021 and Fitterer was making a playoff push and made the big splash trade for CJ Henderson

I knew it would be high, but he earned a deal.
I actually thought it would be more. 100-110M range

3rd at the earliest, LBer is not an immediate need with Shaq, and Jewell penciled in as starters, all but inked.
Jewell is the backup if this guy is drafted

Too be honest...No. I like him but i like Cooper better and also i dont see LB as a high enough need for early pick compared to other positions. I would go receiver maybe even DL or corner over LB early.
We thought this in 2012 as well but worked out pretty well for us

Only if two high seconds are offered do I give up 33rd. that is potentially 1st round talent

The lack of centers on the list is not something i'm crazy about.
maybe they still have their eye on a FA? of course then, with what money?
Agreed. Relying on a veteran guard whose been injured the last two years to change positions is not a good plan

I think you have to sign Gilmore and push CB to 2025.
WR, LB, C in the first 3 rounds unless an absolute steal of a DE falls to us. I’d be against double dipping WR in the second. We have to spread the talent around.
We also need some considerations for what TEs could be available.
I agree with this. We need another WR but we have to see what Mingo is since we spent a 2nd last year. Thielen is still more than good enough to be a 3

Can he play Edge?

What’s the point? Plenty of 1st round busts to go around if you need a backup.
For the chance it could turn into a Lance/Purdy or Cousins/RG3 situation

Even with Fitt gone, this team loves guys that are coming off an injury
So basically we are still looking for 2 Edge starters

Is DJ Wonnum depth or a starter?
Right now a starter as we have no one else that’s better

Washington Panthers. You would think Ron was still there

BINGO! I thought it was interesting that Russini leaked that “a number of coaches wanted him benched” but didn’t elaborate on who wanted him benched. I’m betting it was the coaches who were fired.
Yep. Otherwise the coaches left would bench him.

Can the NFL step in and do something because this is really sad
I was just thinking this. It’s not good for the NFL as a whole to have a such an incompetent organization

I know right. I remember a time being pumped up to play a division opponent

George Seifert and Matt Rhule was defensive coaches.
Matt Rhule really was more of an organizational builder.
I am not really sure what specialty Matt Rhule was

Tepper told Frank to keep Campen. They are buddies at this point. Who else would have Tepper’s # and enough familiarity to feel comfortable texting him that stuff?Just my hunch. Who knows.
My guess as well
Is there any chance at all we pick tonight?
in Carolina Panthers

Seeing that the niners and chiefs are set at TE not sure why we would need to trade to 31 for TE
