  1. Coaches who work on special teams I feel are more likely to understand things such as game management since their units come out fairly often and require doing so rather quickly in certain situations. Also, they work with both offensive and defensive players. Kinda made since he was made the interim and at least yesterday, that proved a pivotal factor.
  2. The Failcons sheer and utter embarrassment by losing to us is such a wonderful gift. Happy Holidays!
  3. That would require Tepper putting his ego aside, something I wouldn't put money he is willing to do. Honestly, my main hope is that he sees this franchise as a sunk cost and sell it to someone else.
  4. At least Tepper is in the running for the worst NFL owner of the year award. I heard the trophy is a toilet plunger.
  5. I like Greg so I would not want him here just to be dragged through the mud.
  6. Not going to hold any ill will toward Reich. Just didn't work out. What is most demoralizing is that I'm not sure there's any way out of this downward spiral in the near term because the root problem may be at the very top.
  7. Belichick's reputation as an all time best coach is not exactly holding up right now.
  8. Tepper should get a mirror on who he should be shaking his head it.
  9. In the time it took me to watch this latest video, we just ran another 4 plays with stop routes.
  10. Reich did say he still wanted to call the plays during the offseason but was willing to give them to Brown at some point. Always felt that initial decision was a mistake but hey, change is made and Reich even gave Brown recognition post-game for the playclaling on that final drive. If nothing else, tells me that out of all the problems we may have, an egotistical coach is probably not one of them.
  11. If he can get more than 2 yards a carry, that would probably qualify as an improvement.
  12. This alone was worth making the change. Only helps the product on the field which is struggling enough as it is. Pass pro and run game was utterly putrid but can't really say how much of that was correlated to the actual playcalling.
  13. I would say the criticism towards Thielen is ultimately on his utilization on roles that really don't suit him at this point of his career. Having to give away DJ was a massive blow although everything I remember tells me Chicago was only going to make the deal if he was part of the package. More annoyed at the Bears than anything else. I am pleased that the big play to Mingo was overall good execution and not blown coverage. Obviously would like to see more of this but have to start somewhere.
  14. Giants executed that trade as well as their passing attack last Sunday.
  15. Oh, damn. I didn't even realize Cousins is done for the year. That may be the end of his career with Minnesota. Chargers vs Bears for SNF? I'd rather do laundry.
  16. I'm just shocked just how open Mingo was on that deep pass play. More of that, please.
  17. I was worried about Ickey's pass pro last year. Speed rushers exposed him but it was less apparent given how well we ran the ball. Losing BC this year definitely didn't help him but have to consider moving him inside. He's going to get whomever is under center destroyed at this rate.
  18. Given how hard they have played, I'm surprised they only have one win. I thought they had more than that.
  19. Onside recovery for the Cardinals. Unlikely to make a difference but hey, you don't these being recovered much these days.
  20. Probably didn't want to cause a controversy although Purdy's play today is going to cause one anyways. Also, KC losing to Denver isn't a massive surprise. Divisional games can be like that. However, Mahomes just doesn't seem to be as an explosive player as before. Not surprising given anyone other than Kelce isn't anyone really worth mentioning. Oh, and Swift wasn't there for this game so of course the loss is blamed on that.
  21. Given how Purdy is looking like today, Darnold may actually be a viable option for the short term.
  22. You take your wins however you get them.
  23. I remain baffled on why we drafted a receiver with route running as a weakness when - based on the staff compensation and the QB we drafted - route running would the most valued trait in whomever we brought in. Not to say Mingo can't work. Just that he's not the best solution right now given the circumstances. Side note: the same guy also critized Justin Herbert as a one-read guy.
  24. Someone who hasn't catched a football in years and he might still be a better receiving option than Ian Thomas.
