  1. I thought Sweat was more like a 4th-5th round prospect. I’d be fine taking him in those later rounds but not earlier.
  2. While I agree Horn’s injuries could not be predicted since he didn’t have a history of them coming out of college, I don’t think he’s proven to be better than Surtain when healthy. Who knows, maybe if he had stayed injury free he would have been better and he just hasn’t been able to develop as much due to the injuries. Hard to fault the team for that when they were neck and neck in pre draft evals. HOWEVER, acting like Ickey has ever been “really good” in pass pro is some wild revisionist history. He was a dominant run blocker coming out of college who teams thought could develop into an elite LT based on his size and athleticism, but his weaknesses coming out of college remain his weaknesses now. We decided to run the ball for 75% of the snaps for half a season in 2022 and people thought that meant our OL could pass pro. So nonsensical.
  3. Except he’ll be an unrestricted free agent so there’s no guarantee they get to bring him back if they want to. Pretty strange deal.
  4. From nfl.com: As part of their deal to acquire Diggs, the Texans are eliminating the final three years of Diggs' contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday. The move adds four void years to Diggs' deal, while moving money originally guaranteed for 2025 into 2024, effectively giving Diggs a one-year, $22.52 million contract, per Rapoport. Diggs will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025, meaning his first season with the Texans could also be his last.
  5. A second round pick and 22m fully guaranteed contract for 1 year lol.
  6. Pretty sure the Cardinals traded a second. The point was that the Cardinals were certainly hoping for more than one full year of production, regardless of the reasons.
  7. You guys ‘member when the Raiders traded only like a 3rd round pick or something for Antonio Brown? Or the Cardinals trading for DeAndre Hopkins and only getting like one good season out of him? I don’t think trading for disgruntled WRs has quite the positive track record some seem to believe it does.
  8. Hopefully, but him taking a front office position doesn’t bode well.
  9. Do we have to do this every single time another team signs or trades for a player whose name you know? There’s other teams in the league doing their own things, get over it.
  10. Like actually wtf. New assholes same as the old I guess. This franchise is doomed.
  11. Oh good, perfect timing for the team to get some extra motivation to play for their coach with a crucial game against the Blazers coming up and a bottom 3 of the league record in reach. They’ll probably win a couple more games now and get 5th best odds in the draft instead of 3rd. This dumbass just can’t stop screwing this team. AND he’s moving into a front office role? For what, being a terrible coach? What a fuging tumor he has been to this franchise.
  12. Yeah worked for the Bucs too, although they did a lot less trading than the Rams. However, the Rams also tried to double down and send us 2 first round picks and a 2nd for Burns and they would have gotten completely screwed on that deal had the Panthers been smart enough to take it.
  13. I get he’s got a big contract and a big ego, but the Bills having to send 2 late round draft picks in addition just to get a second round pick in return does seem like pretty good value on Houston’s end.
  14. I’ve never seen a whole roster more deserving of being poo canned. Well earned.
  15. I’m sure they’re taking the same amount of time, just a difference of when they’re taking it. There’s only 3 teams starting April 2 I doubt all the other teams are just forfeiting their time.
  16. In the same game he slowed down in the middle of his route and caused what would have been a huge completion down the sideline to be overthrown instead.
  17. The problem is it’s not just his ability or development. He’s a quitter. He quits on his routes, quits on the ball, and quits on his team. I’ll be surprised if he makes the roster.
  18. We’re talking about Centers, not pass rushers. Top centers go late first/early second; it’s not a shallow center class if you’re drafting the #2 center at the top of the second.
  19. A guard coming off back to back season ending knee injuries just can’t be plan A at center. They’ve got to draft one. Don’t overthink it, grab one of the top 2 or 3 centers of the draft with one of the second round picks and hopefully get the position set for the next decade. I have much more confidence in getting our future starting center in that spot than getting a stud WR.
  20. We don’t have the luxury of worrying about what “type” of receiver we’re drafting. Just draft a guy who can get open and catch the ball.
  21. It’s all they can do now they have so few original ideas.
  22. Good run to end the half. RJ has to get out of his funk. Can’t even hit the front end of a 1 and 1.
