Never talked about gaslighting and you’re interpreting sarcasm but for all you know I was completely serious. Are you getting the point? Hope I don’t have to call you a liar and say it never happened to drive it home.
-
Back in my day! But seriously, it is shameful what it has all become, and it’s only going to get worse.
-
You’re misinterpreting. The past 2 pages have been calling this guy a liar and “deliberately obtuse” while over analyzing the use of the word “cheering” as the basis to call him a liar and say things never happened lol. Did it not happen at all or are they just comments and jokes in poor taste? Is this guy a liar or an internet autist who just can’t rise to the level of your nuanced message board dialogue to come to a reasonable conclusion about what anybody means by anything they’re saying?
-
Go do this in the tinderbox you can create your own thread there if you want.
-
This is the new thing lol. It’s all open to interpretation and it’s your fault for your interpretation. The guy saying “stop teasing” was really very upset with Bryce Young being injured, not excited. Ignore his other posts that seem to indicate the opposite. And don’t you know “Exciting not to see Bryce!” was in no way happy with Bryce Young getting injured. Again, don’t bother looking at the rest of the posts for further context. And definitely nobody was making fun of him by saying he was injured by the water boy bumping into him, or it was a gentleman’s benching, or his feelings got hurt. And the comments about him getting tackled by a finger graze or getting taken down by a stiff fart were not hyperbolic over reactions to the play that just happened, it was just general conversation completely unrelated to that play. And of course none of their views are tainted by a desire to see Bryce Young fail, they all want the best for him and the team, that’s how you know for sure that you are totally taking all the posts the wrong way. Really can’t believe you would make up all these lies. gaslighting /ˈɡasˌlīdiNG/ noun noun: gaslighting the practice of psychologically manipulatingsomeone into questioning their own sanity, memory, or powers of reasoning.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46695228/sources-terry-rozier-arrested-part-gambling-inquiry Terry Rozier has been arrested as part of an FBI investigation into sports betting. The main instance cited is a game in 2023 while Rozier was a member of the Hornets. Over $13k came in late on the under for Rozier’s stats for the game. Rozier played 10 minutes and left the game with an “injury”. Not a good look for the organization and the culture. Imagine making over $100m for your career and risking that plus prison time on a $13k bet. What a trash locker room to surround a young Lamelo Ball with at that time. Rozier, Boughnight, Kai Jones, etc.

No, the post said style of play, not willingness. It said QBs running through brick walls (meaning defenders was my interpretation but open to having misinterpreted this particular part) to get first downs, referring to plays in which Baker Mayfield took a lot of contact and Jaxon Dart launched head first into a defender. I don’t think THAT is necessary for a QB to be successful.
-
Are we talking willing? I think if the coaches would ask Bryce Young to do a QB sneak he would. Not sure it’s the best idea. And I’ve seen him stand and deliver while taking hits. But you were talking before about QBs running through defenders for first downs, which is a different conversation imo.
-
Time for Steve Smith to get snubbed again.
-
Not what I was saying. And it was a constant conversation while he was playing. Cam is who he was and his competitiveness was part of what made him great, but there are undoubtedly plenty of QBs who have achieved the highest levels of success who have gone out of their way to avoid contact. And as physical of a specimen as Cam was, his career was still derailed by injury.
-
Dude what? I said I wanted Cam’s career to be LONGER. You’ve lost it.
-
Idk, I loved Cam, but would have loved him a lot more with a longer career. Tom Brady won plenty of titles without running through brick walls.

So it was brought up in a thread about the Jets social media celebrating that specific play, and the post says “this is the biggest thing I hate about Bryce Young”, but it is in no way blaming him for going down on that particular play? That’s a lot of suspension of disbelief you’re asking. I suppose all the hair pulling in the game day thread about it as soon as the play happened was coincidence as well. I’d be curious how much of your perception on this is confirmation bias. There’s plenty of plays he doesn’t go down with minimal contact. There’s plays I’m sure I’ve looked at as a slip on the turf that you’ve looked at as going down on minimal contact. Legitimately curious what the actual data is.
-
So it is serious? Very hard to have a reasonable discussion when you’re blaming Bryce Young for going down when a 300lb defender steps on his plant leg and injures him.

Speaking of revisiting trades: Brian Burns
WUnderhill replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s also playing with 2 top 5 pick pass rushers and getting some 1 on 1 looks. I’m pretty sure there was never a huge question about whether he could win some 1 on 1 pass rush reps. The main issue was consistent effort, being a complete liability against the run, and asking for more than he was worth. Trading him was the right move and still is, the biggest problem was not trading him when the best deal was on the table. -
? The dude stepped on his plant leg. We’ve seen him break plenty of hand swipes/arm tackles. I seem to remember one play his shirt getting pulled like a rubber band in the end zone. See, I was told up and down last week that these kinds of takes are fringe and rarely if ever happen…and when they do they are very unserious. Is it my fault for taking this seriously? Are the pies not people agreeing, but rather an inside joke? Let me know.

We thinking of the same Mike White? He probably won’t even make it off the practice squad.

What's the best way to split RB carries?
WUnderhill replied to Khaki Lackey's topic in Carolina Panthers
I didn’t like it when we had Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, I like it even less with Hubbard and Dowdle. I also think it sends a bad message. It tells our backups that it doesn’t matter what they do or how well they play, they are locked into being a backup. -
Think we can pull off a trade for Josh Allen before this weeks game? I think it’s time for the Bills to reciprocate after taking all our best players, coaches, and FO personnel over the last decade.

Bryce Young - High Ankle Sprain, out minimum 1 week
WUnderhill replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Game day thread was peak when this happened. A lot of hair pulling about Bryce Young goes down from just a finger grazing him. I’ve been assured that those kinds of takes are either very fringe or don’t happen at all. -

Lol how did he control beyond the line to gain if Jackson made the initial catch?
