It’s definitely a bad look that they chose to make an example by enforcing this on a team playing against one of the worst and most blatant offenders. But who are we kidding, the NFL has been allowing officials to rig games through uneven enforcement of rules for years and nobody cares as long as the media darlings like Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning benefit.

How was it mis-managed? They made waiver claims that changed the cap situation. Saying it was mis-managed is just talking out your ass. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t, you have no clue. What we do know is Chaisson did absolutely nothing with his considerable opportunities both here and Jacksonville, was not worth his contract, and is easily replaced for less money. Also, Wonnum is supposed to be the starting OLB on the other side of Clowney so there’s your other sacks on the roster, he just happens to be injured but he’ll be back. We knew depth would be an issue all off-season and they are dealing with it the best they can as far as I can tell but there’s only so much that can be done because of that salary cap you seem very concerned they be under at all times. You don’t like where the cap money is distributed and that’s really all this is, it’s not like they’re 50m under refusing to address needs. Too early to crucify this regime for dealing with the hand dealt by the last. I for one am more than happy they invested in OL at the expense of some defensive depth because the most important thing to evaluate this season is whether we have a franchise QB.

Do we really gaf? Like I don’t care at all. They’ll figure it out and we won’t lose anything of value to do so.

Plus Jake Luton. Idk why we’ve been so obsessed with their castoffs from that draft.

Only way the Cowboys can see a Superbowl this year
WUnderhill replied to pantherclaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
This seems unnecessarily hostile over a thread about a Facebook joke about the Cowboys. -
I’m sure Chase Young will have a good game before he disappears into obscurity for the rest of the year. Over/under at 199 for Young seems like easy money. I’m not a gambling man but if I was I’d sure as hell take the over on that.

Yes a lot don’t belong in the SEC, including some SEC schools like Vandy. SEC isn’t recruiting teams to join Vandy at the bottom. Clemson scored as many points against Georgia as Ball State last season, no other team scored 3 or less.
-
Clemson and FSU both embarrassing themselves opening week but think they belong in the SEC. What a joke.

Gotta be the metric system.

He made it all the way to Cincy on claims so the Panthers weren’t the only ones who didn’t value him. Just another local huddle crush the league disagrees on.

I’d keep an eye on which if these guys can play special teams as well. I don’t know who that is but it could play a factor if they have to cut special teams players to make room.
-
I would hope they would cut Mays before Raym.

Panthers will keep Jonathon Brooks on NFI list
WUnderhill replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
That’s always been my thinking, no need to make major investments in RB just invest in OL and let RBs go after their rookie contract. -
Glad TMJ is gone. I was done with him after he stopped running halfway through his route in like game 1 last season. Don’t need that kind of laziness on the team.

You sure? Guy above just “schooled” me on how bad Slowik is because he wasn’t an OC before last season. Apparently it’s all Stroud making everybody else look good down there, I’d be careful giving credit anywhere else.

Remember to breathe while typing. So what you’re telling me is you didn’t pay enough attention to know who Nico Collins was, you had a terrible assessment of the Panthers OL situation before the season, the Texans starting LT only played 14/17 games (gasp!), Singletary 898yds 4.2ypc equals no run game, and Hubbards 902yds 3.8ypc means Panthers had a run game, because Slowik is a young coach that was unproven before last year, that means he can’t be a better coach than what we had, and Stroud would have made our receivers run faster and better routes, and kept our OL from falling on their asses? So you think Stroud would have had an even better year on the Panthers last year than he had on the Texans. What a schooling. Thanks. The breathless ranting and capitalizing is sure making me take you super seriously.

Screw the QB school, Duncs film breakdown
WUnderhill replied to Jackie Lee's topic in Carolina Panthers
Diontae Johnson is going to make a huge difference for us. That second play where the safety went to help the CB with coverage over top doesn’t happen with last years receivers. If that’s Mingo on the outside the safety can just sit down in that gap without offering help over top. Huge difference. -
Panthers will keep Jonathon Brooks on NFI list
WUnderhill replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m assuming this is just a matter of having the extra active roster spot for the first 4 weeks as opposed to having Brooks take the spot knowing he’d be back week 3 at the earliest. -
Huddle legend Bailey Zappe.
-
We did sign him. I doubt we do it again though.
-
Yep, nobody watched this poo every week. And we’re imagining having the lowest rated guard in the league. And also our LT having the 3rd most false starts in the league is clearly a made up stat. I’m sure cutting our starting center right after handing him a big contract had nothing to do with him being terrible. This is where you lose all illusion of being objective.
-
Having CJ wouldn’t have made the OL or receivers good. Pretty simple. Notice how 2 of the worst poo the bed ruin the play moments from this film breakdown were last years players attempting to work together? Zavala and Ickey doing god knows what leading to pressure in the QBs face and Mingo and Theilen destroying a concept. What math do you need?

Bryce could go 28/30 with 8 touchdowns and some of these folks would still have something negative to say, just ignore them.
